I know that Methody have the capital fee of £140 (or something like that) and then voluntary fees on top. However a friend who has kids there says there is no way you wouldn't be paying the "voluntary fees".
You need to find some parents with kids already there to see what the story is. You don't want to be going with the £37 a month and then finding out that you are the only one paying it either.
We are for Grosvenor tonight. Their fees are only £40 per year (unless we hear tonight about some voluntary ones on top)
yeah i know. i dont know anyone at the school. i dont mind paying if everyone else is paying!! lol0 -
I think most people pay the voluntary fees.0

The rumour going round our primary school is that the maximum age adjustment is only 3 marks.
July-September +0
October-December +1
January-March +2
April-June +3
Would love to know if there's any truth in it.0 -
Hi, new to this site, having been reading all your posts with great interest. My child is headin to BRA, we were there today, and with regards to fees we are only paying the minium, due to job loss!!!0

Was at Grosvenor last night and parted with £170 ish (can't remember the exact amount as I've tried to obliterate it) on the PE kit. In fairness the tracksuit part wasn't compulsory but we got it anyway.
They were very good by putting the kids with their classmates and taking them to their new form room with their form teacher.
My son is going to love it there.0 -
My son is also heading to BRA and i am also paying just the 140 minimum fee for the simple reason that we are not in a position to be able to afford the voluntary fees.0

I havent looked at the prices for the actual uniform yet, the PE kit/tracksuit was bad enough but nothing unexpected!!0

Hi, I was in a real dilemma over this. i went yesterday to the scholl and opted to pay the £35 per month but as i am a single parent this is quite a lot for me. Got the impression that it was "expected".0 -

i have opted to pay the full £35 but am beginninging to regret it now as im a single parent and might find it difficult financially!0 -
NewtownabbeyMum, get on the phone and change it. If it is voluntary and is going to cause you to struggle then don't pay it. Its not one month, its for the next 5-7 years. At the risk of generalising/stereotyping I would guess that not too many other single parents have opted to pay it.0
