Sullivan have slightly different admission criteria in that only the first 120 places are allocated based on the AQE score. The remaining 30 places are allocated based on a set of criteria of which the first is free school meals, then the usual brothers and sisters at the school, feeder schools etc.0

Does anyone on hear know anything about Bloomfield Collegiate's marks? am surprized this school has not been mentioned.
I heard Glenlola took down to 90.
Lowest ive heard for bloomfields so far is 950 -
I agree completely with you, Ex-Spend, how can Lagan College say they are integrated yet only subscribe to one of the testing methods, although in saying that, I do know of at least two children from the Shankill Road who attend but they went before this mental system was put in place.
Facingthefuture, I also attended a convent grammar and I very much doubt that anyone would have been ostracised for being non catholic, you would have gotten murdered for behaving so badly for a start! However, I had thought of putting my daughter in for the GL tests and possibly sending her to another convent grammar but to be fair, she has not been brought up in that atmosphere that children in catholic primaries are (attending Mass, Holy Communion etc) and I felt that she would have stuck out like a sore thumb. It really is unfortunate that our education system is still so divided.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Same here, my son did do holy communion because of the primary he is that, but last time his aunt took him to mass, he actually said "thanks" to the priest.:o
I have a lot of problems with the catholic church, not least the way they are wrecking the schools with SF. The way poor Mary Magdelaine was treated really bugs me, apparently she only became a prostitute in the 4th century. As for some of the psychotic nuns who taught me, my goodness, I can see why some are being chased for abuse.
*runs off to rant further about pscho nuns to confused dog0 -
Reminds me of my daughter who came back from church and said " I gave my money in...but I didnt get anything to eat" !Norn Iron Club member 4730

This was in a nice table but couldn't get it to paste - if others have more up to date info. they can add, amend etc......
I know a child that got into Carrick grammar with 102. I think the cut off was around 101. Very strange for it to be so high as usually not one of the more difficult schools to get into. Probably just a blip this year!0 -
Bloomfield's cut off point is 920

I have heard that the 92 for Grovenor was with special circumstances, but cannot confirm 100%. Would make sense though.0

Does that mean she wont get a bus pass?
Hi you can look back at my previous posts. To qualify for the bus pass you must have put down the schools of the same type, i.e. grammar, that are within 3 miles of your house, if you get rejected then you qualify for a bus pass to get to the school further away, if you have chosen to put the school further away as your first choice you do not qualify, in our case my daughter did not want to go to the nearest school and because we opted for a school further away we do not qualify, even though now as it turns out she wouldnt have got in to the nearest school anyway!0 -
Ok - here is the table updated with the further info from subsequent posts, hope I haven't missed something:

In relation to the use of the GL Assessment other schools that wouldn't be traditionally thought of as 'catholic' are Ballymena Academy, Slemish Integrated and Portora Royal.
The reason why the 2 groups couldn't agree on a single test for nextyear was down to paying or not paying - indirectly and probably without knowing people were paying for the GL tests. Check out the website below from PACE (remember they were removed from the forum at the start;)). They have a response to a Freedom of Information request there from Ballymena Academy - http://paceni.wordpress.com0
