Pushy Mum, your postie will probably be off sick on Saturday. :rotfl:

Right I've an idea to pass the time. Why don't we all check in tonight and we'll do a paper and compare our answers afterwards. :rotfl:

Hello all :)Couldn't post all day but have been reading your posts from work which were keeping me laughing throughout. Its great to see so many newbies on the board :j Exspendaholic, I wouldn't have been able to keep my cool with numpty from AQE...what an idiot to not even know when letters are being sent out. I hope somebody sues them, they deserve it for being so rude, uncaring and unhelpful!!! If my son doesn't get first choice I may consider it as our home insurance has legal cover and I have checked with insurance company and all our legal costs would be covered. I hope more people will consider this if they do not get the result they feel is right. Somebody should pay for all the crap that we have had to endure!!! OK now I'm going to take my angry hat off!

I would like to have a good look at the papers but i am worried that if the questions appear quite easy i can only imagine that my son didnt check over his paper properly. We used to have endless rows especially if the practice paper was easy because of the silly mistakes he made. He always did well in the more difficult papers. Omg i dont think i will look at them in detail as i really will be up to high doh. Didnt sleep well last at all.

Have you noticed a lot of the questions are missing? I presume it's to do with copyright issues.

Yes the clampit did say that they would be. I haven't actually looked at them yet as like Sniffy I'll get frustrated if the paper appears easy.

I have no interest in looking at the papers. I don't think any good could come of it. Son will just get upset over silly mistakes made and I just don't see any point in seeing them.
  • I have been reading over the posts for the last few months and I think you are all putting too much pressure onthe children.I ts not the end of the world if the child doesn't go to a Grammar school .We have very good secondary schools here too .If you and the child work to gether it can be done .My two brothers went to Campbell and my cousins went to Bloomfield and Strathearn .Myself went to Lagan and I have done just as well if not better .Campbell is a grammar school that takes anyone as long as they are paying .It has great facilities but not the best Academic record .Remember these kids are only 11 give them a break or you will knock their confidence from now on in ..

Sorry? I'm not sure I understand. What is it you think we are doing to put pressure on our kids? We are all just on here discussing this as parents. I don't think any of us are involving our kids in these types of discussions. My son is so laid back about the whole thing he is horizontal. He is anything but pressured and I think if you re read the thread you will note that others have actually posted to say that their kids are also so laid back about the whole thing and it is the parents who are stressed about it all.I really don't understand how you could have come to this conclusion at all, sorry.

Can't see how there is now copyright on these passages as they were printed on 7,000 papers last Nov, and also why was the AQE scores accepted on the offical transfer papers for the Education + Library
board, when they or should I say Ms Ruane threatened primary school principals with legal action if found to be preparing pupils for these tests.

    There's a lot that doesn't add up??
