Royles Wedding Dresser, Northwich

A warning to anyone who has booked Royles to dress their wedding, they
have vacated their premises, disconnected their phones and emails are being returned undelivered. We have booked them for my daughters wedding, paid most of the money and now we hear they have gone bust. I have read on several forums that there are several other couples in the same position. The most cruel thing is not to let anyone know and just not turn up on their wedding day. Imagine how you would feel on the most important day of your life if this happened to you. I hope they feel proud!!

I know that this won't be of much comfort to you at the moment - but speak to your local Trading Standards - they may be able to help you recoup some of your money.
So sorry to hear your news though - You would at least expect them to contact their clients if they couldn't fulfil their contracts. Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! I too booked royles for chair covers, flowers and table centres. My wedding was on friday. On thursday, the day before our wedding, we could not get hold of them. At 4.30pm we found another florist who could do 2 bouquets and button holes at the last minute. At 9.30pm, the night before our wedding, the venue received an anonymous phone call to say royles had gone bust and would not be at our wedding the following day. My husband spent the morning of our wedding running round, trying to get decoration for our tables. Fortunately we were insured. The awful thing was, that Vivienne Royle had made all her staff promise not to tell any bride and grooms that they would not be turning up. It is disgraceful, i could have been walking down the aisle with no bouquet. The only reason we can think for her not to warn us, is that she was still taking money from people.0

Did either of the posters pay for them with credit cards, as there may be some recourse to get the money back via the c/c company.0

to mrsquick, so sorry to hear its happen to you, how dreadful for you,
you must have been devastated.
We have contacted our Insurers but they want us to prove Royles have
ceased trading. Other than the phone line is dead, the offices are empty
the emails are being returned, and the forums are full of people saying the
same things, How can we prove it? Have your Insurance company asked
you for proof?0 -
is this for real, 2 new posters both complaining.
I am sorry if you are for real and i can understand your frustration and anger, i just find it a little odd that 2 newly created accounts are both complaing about the same company yet no one else is.
I will quite happily apologise if i am wrong.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
maybe the new posts are the company warning everyone on moneysaving expert whats happened but not having the guts to own up or maybe its just somebody googling about the company going bust and seeing its not just them creating a account and posting it? x hope its the second0

Please also note, that to date no weddings have been missed by royles and all future bookings are safe and will be completed
AS WE SAID EARLIER THEY HAVE MISSED OUR WEDDING!!!!
I hate to tell you this but you are wrong, we were married on the 29th of Jan and our venue received an annonymous phone call from an ex employee telling us that they had gone bust and would not be attending.
Im not sure what your connection with Royles is but i would be distancing myself from them if i was you.
Radio Merseyside has already done an article on Monday 1st of Feb telling everyone how dispicable Royles really are. This was then repeated every hour in the news.
