Yesterday I received a letter through the post which is very long winded and attempts to bamboozle me with legal jargon. I expect its just a standard letter from RBS but any feedback?advice would be most welcome. Needless to say they are still saying the Supreme Court ruled that fairness does not apply to the Consumer Credit Act etc etc
Thanks in advance
i also recieved the same letter from natwest with a great amount of legal bamboozlement, what are you going to do next, i'm all in favour of taking next step to court or at least a darn good threatning letter to them, but think we should definatly get advice from great minds here first0 -
Having been offered a partial settlement from Barclays, I have gone to FOS for the whole amount requested.0

You lot make me sick - you know you are going to exceed your overdraft or that your cheque will bounce and yet you scream your heads off when the bank imposes their published charges for you doing so - What planet are you from?Hi there.
I am kind of in shock at the moment. My story is I sent the first letter to Abbey using the template on this site for claiming under financial hardship on the 16/11/09. Never heard anything from them and when the test case reslut came through on the 25/11/09 I though I would get the standard letter say you will get nothing due to test case blah blah blah. Yesterday morning I got a letter from Abbey dated 03/12/09, saying that they have looked at my claim and taken into account my hardship and as a gesture of goodwill will be refunding unauthorised overdraft charges totaling £1270.00!!!!!!!! They are sending me out a cheque. I originally claimed £2125.00. What the heck? Hope Martin sees this and it helps his case, x0 -

I dont have any issues raising the legal action but I would expect it to be defended in full so its either me against barristers etc ...or hiring a solicitor. Need to think about this one carefully before proceeding. I might just refer to the FOS in the short term ....u never know0 -
I recently wrote to me bank (Natwest) asking for a list of charges, and they sent me back 6yrs of statements, i never asked for statements, never the less i have gone thru this and tallied up all my charges, which comes to about £1000. and the interest is high as well.
Martins template letters state you should include a list of charges, but i cant really do this,, any ideas???0 -
