Unless I'm mistaken, there are still ZERO success stories for those claiming from Barclays. Anyone had success with them ??0

I have not seen any info re Barclays sorry. I wonder if anyone can shed some light for me. I received a letter from rbs refund team last Tuesday. Saying due to charges on a closed account from 2004-2008 I was due 2136.00 I had to call with bank details to pay it to me and the interest which is 8 percent taxable. My details were processed on the 5 the of October and say I will receive this payment in next 28days...... Had anyone been in my position and received the money? This is so unlike my luck and iam struggling to believe this is going to happen.......0

Bank: Lloyds TSB
Period claimed for: 2007-2008
Amount claimed: £1225
Amount paid out: £970
They paid out within 24 hours of receiving my letter!
Although, the letter they followed up with denied any responsibility for contributing to my hardship, and payment was a goodwill gesture :rotfl:

Thanks

I wrote to Lloyds TSB on Wednesday of last week claiming back all unfair charges and on Friday they paid the full amount into my account. Also had a letter from them confirming the amount they were refunding.
When I wrote the letter I didn't think I had a chance in hell of them refunding so was very shocked when they did. :j
Defo worth a letter and a stamp for anyone considering doing it0 -
Bank: Nat West
Amount Claimed: £174
Amount Refunded: £174
Story: I know this wasn't a massive amount compared to some but I just wanted to share the success. I was struggling last year to stay within my overdraft over a 5 month period (only going over by no more than £40 each month, most months less than that). I had previously asked in the branch if I could be refunded as I felt the charges were unfair and previously had only had a couple of fines. I was refused a refund. I was then going to write a letter as suggested on here, but then I found myself on the phone to the bank today for a different complaint and so asked about this at the same time. Within 5 minutes of claiming hardship for that time period I was offered a full refund of the charges as a gesture of goodwill within the next 5 working days!0 -
Hello Every One
Just had to post a quick message to tell anyone doubting if they should try and claim bank charges back to go for it don't think about it just do it especiallly under the hardship rules
Amount I was claiming £725
03/10/12 used Money saving template to the letter enclosed proof of benefits sent by recorded delivery
08/10/12 14:44 hrs Telephone call from Lloyds TSB apologising and then the punch " we felt that your charges were unfair and we would like to offer you £805 if you agree to accept this will be paid directly into your account in the next 10 days"
wow I'm so shocked and could cry with joy 5 days this must be some sort of record
10/10/12
£805 deposited into bank as agreed quicker than I expected
12/12/12
Lovely apology letter I can't believe my luck suggest everyone keeps trying I often wonder reading these success stories if we can't use the fact that banks are paying out be used as evidence of liability0 -
