    Btw.... I like Mr M's own brand Frazzles... 2packs x 10bags for £2!

    :o

LOL at the final line of your post. Thanks for the recommendation :o

But also when you said about Primarni... I may just try that next time I'm in. Primark is one of those places where I really don't think about what I'm buying. I easily spend £20 in there everytime I go, and if I'm honest, the stuff I get (usually underwear and basic tops) doesn't last me more than a couple of months. It's a waste.

I'm in a bad mood with myself tonight. I feel like my efforts to declutter are coming to a standstill. My stuff isn't selling (for the amount I'd like it to). I'm at the point now where I'm tempted to just donate it all. I don't want to look at it anymore. But anyway...

I got a bit of a kick by shopping vicariously today - ordered my mum some stuff from ASOS so will look forward to those arriving (along with two other orders of my own :o) next week.

How about trying the flylady thread on old style? Spring cleaning is done year round. I find it helps to know that you're not the only one who's miserable!
Another good thread is the decluttering thread. There's a new challenge starting, 100 items in 10 days- I recommend you join in!

I have never actually been bitten by the Primark bug. I've always wondered what everybodies amazement with the place is to be honest, I don't actually think its much cheaper nowadays than Newlook (Maybe 10% cheaper?) and i've never really found anything clothes wise I love. However, shoe wise, last year I brought some sandals for £3 and I brought £4 they was soo comfortable I lived in them, even wlking for miles on holiday. Accessories i've never loved in there.
So I probably own one dress from there that I got from a Bigwardrobe swop.. a bag from a swap and maybe one bracelet.

The 5 items I did put on Ebay are not selling, but i have got a lovely swap this evening :)

  • Their accessories are my downfall... I did get a lovely set of sparkly bracelets from there last time I was in, but apart from them I haven't bothered with them recently as their prices have almost caught up to other better quality high street shops.

Well done on your swap. What did you get? Sorry, just being nosey.

    So Monday target :)
I'm going to Meadowhall with my Mum on Thursday, have some money saved up, but would like a higher daily allowance for train fare etc :) so this week I am allowed £5 per day rather than my normal £10, if this goes to plan i'll have an additional £15 on Thurs to pay for trains and I have a free lunch from Nandos as I made a complaint lol ( See thats MSE ;) ) :)
This should be achieveable as I have to go to the Job Centre today and also this morning I am getting tought how to cook by my mother :(

Sounds like a nice swap, NGlady. People don't seem to get back to me on BW :o maybe 'cause I don't have much feedback. Good luck with sticking to your £5 target.

I'm going out with my mum tomorrow (shopping, but mainly to return stuff!) so hoping I can spend less than £50. I haven't been proper shopping for *ages* and I'm going to look for some nice basics rather than the usual £2 rubbish I buy from Primarni. I would really like a new bag as mine is actually falling to bits (I have had to cellotape the back of it as the leather has torn, lol).

I have quite a few nice bits from ebay actually. Mostly plasticcy vintage stuff but still nice... But I find that it's often more expensive than the stuff in the shops. Or I get caught up in a bidding war and end up paying over the odds for stuff :o

This morning my boots arrived and (fortunately???) two of them don't even fit, and they're the ones I really liked! The pair that *do* fit are a bit too loose on the ankles so not sure what to do about those... I think I'll try them with my other jeans that are in the wash, and see if they look any better. Bit gutted that the ones I like don't fit though :( But oh well...

Right, I'm going to do something useful like make my bed or something. And clear the mountain of clothes that are lying around. Ugh.
  • OK I boobed! I went to Mr M's to get bread, eggs, coffee, milk and a little bit of fruit n veg to tide me over till payday on Friday...... £25 later...

    :(

£8 was spent on 2 papercraft mags that had Flower Fairies bits on, £1.05 on whoopsied sausages that ALWAYS come in handy in my freezer and £1.39 on whoopsied fish that I can spread over 2 meals, and the rest was on the deals in fruit and veg...

On the plus side, apart from the whoopsie buys and the mags, I managed to keep to my list (although it was vague when i put down fruit and veg...). I just overbought I think...

And I thought I was doing so well.... that's £25 I can't spend on my new pc...
I hope that I can save enough to get it this weekend....
I will just have to use what I have in before buying my next main shop :(

    Meh!
