Hi everyone what are you up to?
How are the love lives? Latest purchases and returns? New image?0 -
Helloo,
Today my mum bought me a hat. I think she offered to pay for it so that I would wear it (I'll feel guilty if I don't... plus I can't return it!) I do like it, so I'm wearing it in the house in the aim of eventually feeling comfortable enough to wear it out
My style gets me down sometimes. I wear very similar things all of the time. Boyfriend cardies, skinny jeans, flats, plain vests. I've tried to get away from it, but at the same time, what's the point in buying "different" stuff to usual when I don't feel comfortable in it and end up not wearing it? I'm torn!
I don't want to waste any more money. I do love the whole biker-chic trend, but can't seem to find a leather jacket that is long enough on me. They all come up short! I like blazers too, but feel too dressy in them. Dressed are never the right length on me (6ft = problems).
Enough of my rambling. How are the rest of you doing?
And ziggles, cardigans are not for grannies!!! I find jumpers make me look more old and frumpy than cardigans.0 -
Hi all
CL I'm trying to wonder what kind of hat can it be that you have to psych yourself up in the house with it?
Do you ever wear skirts?0 -
It's just a standard knitted beanie hat, with a little bit of sparkle on it!
There are many things that I have never, ever worn - hats, skirts, dresses, a leather jacket, high heels, errrrrrm... and probably many other things that people see as "normal". I am a bit of an unadventurous weirdo to be fair!
But to answer your question - no, I don't wear skirts. I have bought skirts though... and never worn them. I find them awkward and never know which tops to wear with them.0 -
You don't have to wear the hat until it snows and just tell your mum it makes your head feel too hot and itchy at the moment..
It's funny how we all have our different hangups, I find tops with skirts easier than with jeans, for you it's the other way round.0 -
Hi girls
Something odd with the underlining.
How are you?
I'm in an ultra good mood as I just won a massive hamper in a raffle going to be delivered to me in the next few days.
Also bought a really nice pencil skirt.and a blouse.

I can't believe I'm still awake at this insane hour.
Well done on your win, Ang. There's no better feeling than getting things for free (or very little)
You seem to be finding lots of things that you like, which is good :j Where are your new clothes from? Also the underlining problem is a bit weird!
I've been trying some different clothes on tonight (just to see if I can make any outfits out of the things that I already have!) and everything is noticeably tighter. I daren't weigh myself but I don't think I look bad anyway - someone commented that my face was looking rounder... I've always complained that I have a long thin face, so I took it as a compliemt!:rotfl:
On the plus side, I think I may have found a way of wearing a shirt that I bought aaaaaages ago. It involves tucking it into my jeans... something which I never do... I'll ask my mum what she thinks of it in the morning!
I've also decided to make it my duty to paint my nails more often, as I have so many pretty nail polishes that are going to dry up before I get a chance to use them.0 -
Hi all
I got woken up this morning by a text from my eldest daughter at an unearthly hour inviting me to go round in two weeks time. Then she rang and said what about the rest of the family? In the end it totalled 11 people and she queried for dinner or tea?
Then she texted and asked should she or I invite them so I texted back 'you do it'
When I woke up properly, 2 hours later, the brain was functioning again and something didn't seem quite right. So I re-read the text and where I thought it had said 'would you like 2 visit us', it said 'would you like us 2 visit you'
What have I done!!!!!!!!!!!Not Rachmaninov
But Nyman

Hi ya, since ive been in this thread, my shopaholic vein kicked in, i have been spending enormous amounts of money on winter clothes!... I have a massive bin bag to give again to charity, and trying to get things that fit me nice, instead of going for the cheaper thing around, TK max is being fab !.
I need to control myself, so i am paying all the cash ive got,£90 into my barclays credit card tomorrow before i blow it and go shopping tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a lovely sunday and hopefully i can tell you all i am pregnant next monthMejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
LOL Frog... oh dear, what a mistake to make! If you don't feel up to hosting 11 people I'd let her know!!! Pretend you were sleep-texting or something :P
Hiya morocha, haven't see you posting in a while. I never find anything nice in TKMaxx... either the ones near me are rubbish, or I'm just an odd size/shape, !!! I never find anything in there.
Fingers-crossed for being pregnant too0
