CL, I agree with several ideas you've had.
Buying some more workwear will help you feel more confident when going for interviews and also get you into that frame of mind so I think you should.
Also, NG definitely should have someone with her when going through her clothes etc because an objective viewpoint is always helpful and will also help her be ruthless.
Anglea, you're right about people holding onto things from the past when they're not ready to move on entirely. I remember after escaping a psycho ex, I got rid of all the stuff related to us and it was so cathartic. That was pretty much the first thing I did and really helped me put it all behind me.0 -
CL - I think thats actually an excellent idea. Shall deffinatly be word for thought
May get one of my older sisters to come round for an evening when my parents are away next for a big bottle of wine and go through all my stuff - shall go for the skinny sister, the other one will be trying my stuff on/nicking it lol.

How's everyone's weekend been, then?
Got a massive pile of clothes to eBay, if only I could find the motivation to iron them, photograph them, etc.....
In the meantime, I'm just going to catch up on some reviews I need to do for Amazon vine and do some comping to get ahead of myself which then gives me a few days where I don't need to comp at all....0 -
Hi all
CL good luck with the work gear, getting some might put you in a different mood about finding a job.
Ziggles hope you are feeling better.
FE, I never thought about the way you have to present clothes for photographing etc for Ebay. Sounds like a lot of work.
NGlady - hope you tidy your room - I'll keep asking LOL
Strange watching the news today. Seems surreal and I was thinking thank goodness DS is home, he was up there two days last week, he's planning to move there.
Have any of you been affected?0 -
Hi all - Well, its deffinatly scary watching the riots - i dont even know WHY there doing it? I know its something to do with that woman on the news last night, but I know for a fact the police dont fire for no reason, so what was he actually doing? Aparinatly, he had a airpistol or something?
Well over night it came to my city - we did contain it though and it was around the shopping centre - where I spend many a happy hour (heHe)
In london - my best friend lives there and its scaring her quite a lot so much so my trip to london which was planned for this weekend has been scrapped.0 -
Anglea, I take great care to photograph everything nicely; some clothes I put on a hanger and then put it on a washing line to photograph. It all depends.
As for the riots, there was talk of the trouble spreading to my part of North West London where I'm originally from, but it didn't happen thankfully. I think it's (without being snooty) too nice and middle class there. But then again, who really knows any more.
There was trouble in various parts of Liverpool where I used to live...I don't think this stuff is over yet. I have former colleagues too scared to go to work.0 -
It's absolutely disgusting about this craziness- i hate to say it but too much freedom is allowed to these people- give the cops tear gas snd rubber bullets and the idiots will soon know the score and go home back to the estates they're so grieved for!
I was almost in tears of sadness for the innocents who are caught up in this- workers, shop owners, bystanders. Deplorable behaviour
*rant over*
Anyhow- hapy Tuesday.
I feel much better thanks guys and things re going ok.
i am however broke already with 10 days to payday...and in a month where i promised i would be better.
might just have to go "visit" the parentals for tea more often than usual. The monster is back from her summer hols so at least i won't have to cook it if i go.
In other news- i went to a ladies meeting yesterday where i was asked to do 'the grace' and talk about membership (if any of you know Aglow International), and i managed it without sweating, forgetting to breathe and also got most of the important info out! Usually i'm a hot mess when i have to get behind the mike so i' really proud of myself!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all,
Not much going on with here... haven't heard anything about the job yet but judging by what some people have been saying online, most companies don't even tell you that you didn't get a job.
I have thinking more about what sort of car I'd like and been pricing the insurance for random cars. Seems it's going to be £1300ish. I don't want to buy a real old banger and was hoping to get one for about £2-3k. But I do worry when buying a car as I don't really know anyone who's an expert and don't really trust car sellers to be honest.
I reeeeeeally need to learn my theory ASAP, but it's just so boring. LOL. I do love the lessons now though, probably because I'm making less silly mistakes
As for the rioting... I know this is bad, but I try to avoid the news, so that it doesn't affect my mood :S Ignorance is bliss perhaps... But I do have an idea about what is going on and worry that it will be even more widespread than it already is. Scary.
Ziggles, I've never heard of the meeting but well done for doing that. I think most people hate public speaking (esp. me!!!)
Today = hopefully comping, tidying and learning the dreaded theory. If I don't post back here later to say I've done 30 minutes of my theory then someone pls tell me off :S0 -
My finger is coming out of my bum and I am going to get on with some eBaying, comping and applying for a load of jobs I found and saved for later...what a fun evening awaits me...0
-
I forgot to add 'job applications' to my list actually... good times, eh!0
