Hi alllll
Just a quick hello as my internets been broken for a week but now im backis it ba to have missed it?
Ill reply properly another time
But I agree with CL - i am shocked regarding this man. But im sure hes a lovely guy and u have ur head screwed on enough to realise it wouldnt work out - or maybe it would, wierder things happen at sea
CL - I would deffinatly sell that system. Even if u only get 1100 for it, that will pay for insurance on a car such as a KA and probably near enough pay for oldish car to get you startedThe car will probably kick start so much for you - independence, confidence, ability to get to different jobs etc
goooooooood lucckkkkkk with the job
on a different level - if my phone doesnt start charging when i put the phone charge cable in it, its going towards the wall and ill have to buy a new phone0 -
Hi
on way to bed but for Frog, Anglea- re finding someone becasue of the way we think of ourselves- today i got one of those self helpy email things that said we date at the level of our own self esteem- think about it. I think it's the reason why all those women who say they would never put up with such and such and 'no-one will ever do that to me'- end up with dudes that are awful but none of us can understand why they put up with it!
Also Frog one needs to be 'available' and open to find someone- agree with Anglea about mind being occupied with the 3 dudes! I think if you subscribe to the 'universe' thing then it would be like making space in your life for a partner or whatever so when it arrives you are able to accept them/it. My frined made space in her wardrobe and slept on one half of the bed! lol!
CL- wow! if you have nowhere to put it sell the thing! Blow some of the money and put the rest to good use- like the car/insurance/saings whatever!
Anglea- what's happening- stress/hormones/change in diet- weird weather reactions- could be anything- try a dermatologist/beauty technician?
P.s. CL well done on getting the interview these days it's hard to get throught o that stage and for a bigger company even harder. they have to wade through hundreds of applications- what time is it so we can send up prayers for you?Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Evening all,
Welcome back NG, sorry to hear your phone is being annoying. Throwing it against the wall probswon't help matters though
Anglea: I think I know the spots you mean. I had two of them from when I was using the calamine cream for the rash I had. Are they like a tiny little pinhead-sized white cyst which are impossible to burst? I know this is horrible but I just kept poking mine with a needle until it eventually scabbed and came off. Oh, and sorry if anyone reads that whilst eating their tea :rotfl:
FE: the job sector is business/finance.
**boring job-related stuff so feel free to skip this bit!!**
The interview was TERRIFYING. He pretty much said that he wasn't expecting much from me and that he would have just have put my CV in the bin in any other circumstances (if I hadn't been recommended by someone else)... so that was a nice, positive start :S
TBH I was left wondering why he bothered to interview me at all! But then I was there for 2.5 hours, so part of me thinks that if I was so bad he wouldn't have wasted his precious time on me?!
Saying that, I'm just amazed that I managed to actually go there in the first place as I was in a complete panic on the way there and was hoping I'd end up in a freak accident so I wouldn't have to go. People online have said that this particular company's interviews are like something from "The Apprentice" - so yeah, basically I came out alive and that's more than I was expecting. I won't get the job because I stumbled a lot on the questions, but I guess it was a taster of the "real world" and another fear that I have faced.==================Now onto more lighthearted stuff!!!As the TV is SO huge and high tech, I might sell it, keep some of the money and buy myself a much cheaper one. It's not as if I watch much tv anyway.

CL, well done on facing your fears. The man sounds like an arrogant 4$$h0le but the fact he kept you there for so long is promising.....More tomorrow; got too much to do before bed!!0

Hi all
CL, I think you had a lucky escape with that company if the interviewer was like that - sounds a horrible person. I know you were very nervous and scared in advance and to get that sort of treatment must have been must unpleasant. Did you get a break in that 2.5 hours? I would have been in the loo about 6 times.
Spots - don't read if squeamish.
Yes, the spots I have are like that, one is a bit bigger and very annoying. I got rid of one of them with a needle but the rest won't budge. Perhaps because they hurt too much. Ages ago I got rid of one right above my nose and was left with a crater - most unpleasant.
Congratulations on your wins CL and FE. If I'd won the tv etc I would probably keep them as my tv is ancient. It is in your bedroom or in the family rooms?
NGlady hope you don't throw your phone at the wall or else you might have a nasty mark.
Ziggles - you're talking about Feng Shui and the bedroom. There might be something in that because there was a big imbalance in the two homes I lived in with ex. It wasn't intentional at the start, but the way it happened because he had few clothes and possession and his parents lived in his childhood home not that far away, so he left a lot of things there. Whereas I took everything with me and had loads of things and began acquiring even more. I remember him complaining there was no space for anything of his.
When he first left, I did a massive declutter but before long it all crept back.
What can be interesting to do, is a creative excercise where you look round your house as though you were a stranger and make notes about it. You can find out a lot about yourself that you hadn't noticed before. And it can also affect other people coming to your house.
Something that used to bother my dad was a photo I still have in my living room of ex's parents. He kept asking why there wasn't one of him and mum. There was a smallish one my parents in an ornate frame, but it was the only one I could find with the right type of shot, but dad couldn't see it properly.
He was talking about it in a jokey fashion but I could see he was a bit annoyed and started reading all sorts of things into it because we used to have a rocky relationship, but there wasn't any mystery at all. The in law's had given me that frame and photo as a present because it turned out so well and they thought it might be the last nice photo taken of them. Prior to being given it the only photos I ever had on display were of the children.
I was just wondering if having the small photo of them could have influenced my subconscious in any way in regards to our relationship? I don't even know where that photo is now, I think the fame broke ages ago.
It might be an interesting experiment to go round the house and make some small alterations and see if it changes anything in real life.
I have to admit, decluttering doesn't change anything for me probably because I re-clutter, but perhaps other changes might.0 -
I have started to declutter once more and sorting out my house is my new project for August
The house was in a mess after my holiday with clothes all over the place, I couldn't even sleep in my bed and had to sleep in the spare room. I've washed most of my holiday things and now need to do a massive ironing session.
I have completely emptied one wardrobe and I'm only going to put things in there that I wear from now on as it was full of things not worn for ages.
I've also decided I need a chest of drawers as currrently a lot of things are in storage boxes under the bed which has been driving me crazy. My books are piled up in a cupboard (loads) so I need a some proper storage for them.
I have not done my finances for ages - will sort out the piles of receipts one day soon, and then check see how much my bank balance has been reduced and will put that as holiday expenses.
I'm sorry I've not really responded to everyones latest posts, I need to do a thorough read to get up-to-date.

Hi all, just a quickie
I think the idea of emptying everything out my wardrobe, boxes etc even my garage clothes in which I occasionally go through my normal wardrobe and put in the garage 'out of the way, but i will wear them again' handbags, shoes everything - and only put back what I am guranteed to wear sounds both scary, but also a very good idea
When I am alone in the house for a weekend/year I will be sure to do that, its one sure way of getting rid of the junk
I suspect I will need a day off work, a big bottle of gin and tonic and the promise of an indian takeaway that night for undergoing such a difficult task haha
Well my challanges for august really was to- Get back to date with all my little IOU and me owe savings accounts and know where I am at.
- Forcast my forthcoming expences and balance them out in the upcoming budgets so I know what ive got to buy when - i.e virus protection softwear is coming up in September payday, research early to get a bargain
- Try and tidy my room
.... I ..... willl.... do... this
- Chase some professional qualification certificates that I am owed but havnt recieved yet.

So, today is all about comping and eBaying. Who says I don't have a varied and interesting life?!
Also watching a movie on iPlayer in the background; it's called My Fake Fiance. It's easy to watch, as I can't be bothered to get too involved today.0 -
Afternoon ladies,
Ziggles, I hope you enjoyed your relaxing day. What are you all up to today? I like that we're all thinking about our clutter... I blame FE for being a good example and making us pull our socks up!
I was just thinking to myself last night... I really need to invest some money in some workwear. As someone who has lived in jeans since forever, I'm clueless as to where to even start when it comes to buying nice workwear! I literally own one shirt and one pair of trousers (which were 99p on ebay). Scary thought...
As for the guy interviewing... I found his honesty quite refreshing, he was an ok guy really. At least he gave me a chance. It took the pressure off me to know that he had no intention of employing me and he told me point-blank that the interview was just a favour to the person who recommended me.
Anglea: I do think you have a point about things like the photograph. It's like we hold onto these things subconsciously as a remind of past time that we don't feel ready to move on from. I feel that way about clothing that I wore to certain events. But once they are gone (apart from the initial panic) I almost always feel a sense of relief.
NG: Could you not get someone else to spend a day with you, sorting through your stuff. It might help to have someone else's advice on what to keep.
Also about the anti virus, do you have to spend money on that? There are sooo many free ooption now that are probably just as good as the likes of Norton. Worth thinking about anyway0
