Hi girls
FE I don't have any photos online anymore took them off.
What really shocked me yesterday is that I had done my hair, got dressed up and looked in the mirror - looked really good. So thought I'd get a new new photo done. Looked awfulIt was like it was of a different person entirely.
Have to admit I was very surprised to find out I had all these men fancying me LOL, I never think of people I see around the locality in that way at all.
Ziggles I hope we get details from your date. I think we must all empathise with the shopaholic feeling of yours and nothing much to show of it. I know I buy books for the wrong reasons.
Nglady, what are you doing young lady???
CL and FR hope you are ok. What's happening in the land of Beau and Muse?0 -
What's happening in the land of Beau and Muse?
Hi Anglea
Not heard from the muse since 2nd August, even though I had said I'd love to see him again. Have not contracted him since, was hoping he might want to contact me!
Beau has been in contact - wants me to go back for the whole of September and have a holiday with him in a different part of Turkey. A month is a long time in a town I don't know so I have not made a decision yet, but I know when he contacts me again he'll want to know if I have booked anything. Flights are still priced high but hotels are cheaper especially from mid-SeptemberNot Rachmaninov

:)Ooh Frog you're considering it! You're an amazing woman- this is tres adventurous!
NG2 say no more- i feel you sista!
Well i have been on my date and it was nice- but just that- nice! He looked nicer than in his pic and he paid for dinner! He's the kind of guy i would love to marry- driven, quite cerebral, involved in everything. But for now i don't want to be deep and meaningful, i want to have fun and be shallow and just go with the flow. At this moment in time i have no plan- not for next week or the next 5 years of my life so somone like that is quite incompatible with me. Also- he is seperated and has kids- 2 almost-dealbreakers for me. I didn't know until after the dae yesterday as he never mentioned it AT ALL! ( i missed it on his profile). I find it weird that he didn't but i'll see how that goes. I figure at least if we meet up again he'll be nice company for eating out.
On a more personal point- i seem to find myself being called upon to be the family dogsbody and PA and recently i am becoming more resentful of this because i feel like this is spilling over into all the areas of my life- friends and work- where i do things i don't really want to because i can't say no or express my non-desire to do something. I went to bed thinking about all this and couldn't sleep becaseue i was so angry that this is what's happening- and guess what- i'm still Mrs Angry this morning.:(
Very stressed indeed- work is very stressful for me just now and this kind of stuff if just making things worse! I'm even considering being signed off...Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all
Slightly different itinerary for me tomorrow. Catching up with relatives. Leading extremely different lives to me, one married into aristocracy and now has a title. Others live in a castle. I can't help but be a bit envious of the strange quirks of fate, although fate can bring unpleasant things into life too.
Ziggles at least he was ok to look at. Nothing worse than meeting someone you are embarassed to be with.
Fr, what would you prefer, someone with a castle or the muse? I wonder if Beau expects you to pay for everything.0 -

Oh definitely the muse. I don't want or need a castle.
As to Beau, I know I will have to pay for everything if I go over to be with him again because he has nothing. This was meant to be a holiday fling, nothing more. But I do care for him, and he knows this and says he loves me. He wants and needs a home, children, a family. These are the things I cannot give him.Not Rachmaninov

Morning girls
FB question.
I rarely use it now but have found that when I go to send a PM, it adds a box at the tail end of a list of messages I've sent to the same person in the past.
And often the person receiving them, doesn't read my new message.
Is there a way to start a completely new message/thread ?
Not sure if I'll be meeting with the other family after all, got a call someone wasn't well. Am awaiting another call. Will go out later in any case as mum got all the food in (they were coming to her house). Shame as I haven't seen them in years apart from when I've spotted them in the papers or tv but that doesn't count.
I'll be pottering around the house now until I find out what is going on. Hope you all have a good day. Ziggles, how exactly are your family putting on you?0 -
Me again.
It's back on (relatives) but only a couple are turning up. Trouble is that it's a lot earlier than anticipated, I thought it would be about 5pm and I don't have enough time to sort myself out in the way I had been planning. Always the way.0 -
Hi all,
Haven't posted in a while as I just got back from a very last minute break! It wasn't budgeted for, but it was only cheap and all food/drinks/transport/excursions were included so I don't feel *too* bad about it. Although I do still kind of regret that holiday I took in June, as it was a lot more expensive and less enjoyable than my recent break.
I spent the grand sum of... £20.53 when I was there, and I'm returning one item (£6) so I'm quite pleased with myself. I could have easily overspent as there were lots of shops.
I've also booked my theory test for next Tuesday too :S Eeeeeeeeeek indeed, as I have barely started to learn it.
I had the most insanely bad driving lesson this morning too, & at one point I was in fits of laughter (at my own stupidity). I forgot to take my Kalms so maybe they do work after all...
Must go do stuff before bedtime. I promise to catch up with you all tomorrow - though I did skim over Anglea's post about being related to someone with a title. Interesting indeed! I wish I had a claim to fame - my family are all boring, working class peeps unfortunately.0 -
Hi all
CL I wondered where you had got to. Tell us about your break once you recover.0 -
Hi all
CL I hope you tell us about your holiday.
FR. I'm wondering if you will go with Beau or not. What are you doing with yourself, haven't seen you much on here lately.0
