FR. I'm wondering if you will go with Beau or not. What are you doing with yourself, haven't seen you much on here lately.

Oh, I've been here on and off.

Had a day in Birmingham today - not too expensive. However had to buy a new kettle and I'm afraid aesthetics came before cost. Also trying to get back into some kind of my routine with swimming, and I have a book to finish reading for tomorrow night (am in a book reading group)

Still not decided about seeing Beau in September - will make a decision by the end of August.

Heard from Bym a couple of days ago, says he will come and see me again - I am still on his mind! But as usual, no committment as to when.

Morning ladies - ive had the morning from helll :(

A: My phone wouldnt charge at all over night - so iv been awake for 2 hours trying to make it charge. refuse to be without a phone, just not safe. In my strop ended up spending £180 i dont have on a new phone. My phones now charging up, so going to send the other one back really cant afford it just for the sake of it, afterall, who buys a new phone just for the sake of it especially considering in about 3 months I could have it free from my network upgrade!

Not seen DEman in a week now and I am really missing him :(

Re: Beau - If you want my truest opinion. I dont think you should go. I know it'd be amazing to see other parts of Turkey - but from what you've said, already asking to marry you and saying he wants kids with you, is it really wise? Also last time you said he just ran your bar/resturant bills up to go out there and sustain him for a month would be very expensive indeed.

Sorry if that sounds nasty - it really wasnt meant to be nasty in anyway
  • Hi all
Little time to really post at the moment but in brief to Fr:

I also agree with NG. It's great that you have fun and have company and enjoy Turkey but are you sure you're the only woman he's doing this with? I understand what it's like to have no money (why do you think I'm on MSE!) but I just don't know if his intentions are entirely honourable. I'm sure he DOES want marriage and children, which you've already said you're unable to give him...surely it would be cheaper and easier to find someone else in the UK...someone maybe to marry (if you want) or just to have fun with....so you don't have to spend all that money travelling all that way for something which won't go anywhere and could leave you broke and heartbroken. I also don't mean to sound harsh or unkind so I hope you take what I'm saying at face value.
  • Evening,

Wow, life is actually quite busy for me at the moment, which makes a change! :) I seem to have something to do everyday which I never used to have... how do people who work manage to fit everything in?!

My little break was to Scotland -- very pretty place (I have been before but years ago), took lots of photos of countryside and things. Plus the hotel food was lovely, aha! That's basically it :) I'm going away again in 10 days, another cheapie weekend deal and will probably have a day in London if I get the chance.

I went shopping today and didn't buy anything :S I returned a top and some sportswear to Debenhams and that was it. Next week = driving theory. I am struggling sooooooo badly with the Hazard Perception section - seriously, it's so fricking hard!!!

I agree with the other ladies about the Turkish bloke. Sadly I have heard far too many stories about these men so am cynical... I actually know of two people who have been swindled by the charms of foreign men and it has all ended in tears. But you know your own mind Frogletina, so you do what you think is best. Personally I wouldn't let someone use me for money, no matter how much I liked them.

NG: what sort of phone did you buy? Probs best to return it anyway and buy a cheapie one until your upgrade comes through.

  • I was actually, ziggles :)
I've been to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and a few other places before, but never the Highlands. Really enjoyed it though - esp. my day in Inverness. We went to a few other places, too (Loch Ness, and I forget the names of the others :S)

The peeps in BB... well there seems to be a few I actually recognise this year, which makes a change! Still I always enjoy it, once the cattiness starts :D

    ETA: Jedward! ahahahaha.
