Ended up having an Indian takeaway (20% cheaper than sitting in the restaurant). It was amaaaaazing, and I still have half left for tomorrow
Good stuff.
I've just done some ebay listings, and am not watching CBB. I love Paddy more and more each episode. He could be the dark horse.
Tomorrow = driving lesson. Hate to say it, but I'm dreading it. Last time he was pretty impatient with me (he's never been like that before) and tbh I don't think my driving was that bad :S Hopefully it was a one-off and normal service will be resumed!0 -

Just had another marriage proposal! -this time from a musician I met in Turkey in 2009 and 2010
Now, he does want to come over to England and work as a musician. Although we get on well, he's never shown any interest in me other than as a friend. He'll be regretting that now, lol.

FR, you have too many to chose from, is he good looking?
He's is quite good looking! But he is a rather morose character who thinks that he does not get the appreciation for his music that he is sure he deserves.
Unlike Beau he speaks really good English, and I did fancy him when we first met. If only he was a happier person!
Once he left the bar when I did and seemed to be about to walk me back to my hotel, but after a few yards seemed to change his mind and turned off in another direction.
But I had one memorable afternoon in the bar, by the waters edge where we chatted for ages. It seemed magical at the time. Not Rachmaninov

Ooh Frog you don't half attract these guys- i hope you get the one you want soon. (thanks for the spreadsheet too- very detailed)
@CL- yeah i take vitamins A, C, E, D selenium and calcium. I wasn't in the best health year before last and since taking this combination of antioxicants and calcium i do feel i've donemuch better. I really think it's the stress that's made everything fall apart.
@Anglea- as for routine- i love routine- it makes things work! Thngs inmy life have little routine at the moment and aas a result i feel a bit lost. But i think that's due to settling tinto new house and living with a new person- I am always on the verge of starting to decide to move. (see what i did there- very risk averse i am:o)
@FE- i did an SOA and i have a very good budget- i just need to keep track of these random soends that i am making more and more often:( Might scare me into sotopping- i used to be very good- and i havemore NSDs than ever now strangely. I just go wild a few das a month!
Can i pose the question of the day- yes ok-

Morning all
I was reading the story about Turkey this morning and there seems more to the story than expected.
The mum had an ex husband who was much younger and also a Turkish waiter.
Both women, the daughter and her b/f lived together in a villa. That seems like an unusual set up for a 15 year old girl who has been going out with the boy since aged 13. It seems like a disaster could easily have been on the cards if the boy had expectations, although no one could have probably predicted anything as bad as that.
Going back to my younger years, I remember a family, friends of my parents, their daughter broke off a relationship with her b/f and he smashed all the new windows on their house. They got them redone, and he did it again. He got into trouble with the police over it.
I had never met the b/f and didn't know who he was and one day I got an invitation to go to the theatre via a note in my door from someone I'd met in the pub. It just happened mum read the note first and stopped me from meeting him because it was the same boy.
I wouldn't be writing about this here if it wasn't for our FR. I know anyone can be unpredictable FR, no matter where they come from, but different cultures can make things a bit trickier.
Ex and I for example, lived very different lives until the time we met, I didn't think it would make any matter at all but it did have a profound difference, although it may also have been down to personality.0 -

Do we ever really find out, I wonder?
Sometimes you find yourself in one direction and events lead you elsewhere. I know that there was a time when I had young children and I wanted to make friends with other mothers and it didn't seem to happen. Years later I met people who I suddenly felt comfortable with, more eccentric, more crazy, artistic, and I suddenly felt I belonged. Suddenly I was back writing poetry, met a new partner and my life seemed to begin.
Then I guess I got too comfortable, complacent, and life seemed to consist of just work and home, and I thought we were happy until he wanted to move on. And so I had to begin again, once more. But at least I am back to writing poetry again.
I wouldn't be writing about this here if it wasn't for our FR. I know anyone can be unpredictable FR, no matter where they come from, but different cultures can make things a bit trickier.
Thank you Anglea. It really touches me to know how people on here care about each other and for you to call me 'our FR'Not Rachmaninov

Hi all
Ziggles, I agree with FR about life purpose. (FR I'm glad you feel at home on this thread)
No matter what ideas we might have for the future, they can easily be thrown off course by external factors.
I think that one key to purpose is that whatever your responsibilities are for that day, that is your purpose. Once you are doing that, you are likely to come across other things you want to do and be able to slot them into your life without too many problems.
A lot of people fall into the trap of becoming obsessive with a search for purpose, trying out loads of things (or not having ideas at all) and ending up frustrated. During this search they avoid daily responsibilities so end up overwhelmed with things to do, so if a new direction presents itself, they are usually too stressed to take it up.
Another scenario I've seen plenty of times, I'll give an example.
Someone I knew told everyone she had a calling to help the elderly. She was married with children and an elderly mother that couldn't walk.
However, the mother rarely saw her and had to move away because she couldn't leave her house and the daughter spent 24/7 helping older strangers in her spare time.
From an outsider's point of view it looked as though her actual calling was to impress others because she was talking about it all the time.
She was a good friend of mine and I felt very arkward about this situation because I also knew her mother.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Afternoon all,
I'm doing ok. Had a driving lesson this morn... and have got my theory test this afternoon. I'm NOT looking forward to that. I really think it's 50/50 whether I'll pass or fail. I'm fine with the questions, but the Hazard Perception is awfulllll. Pray for me!!!
Afterwards I'm going into the city to do some returns. I had a bit of a splurge a few days ago, so going to undo my wrongs, haha.
