Hi all
CL - GOOD LUCK :j
On my theory test, my shoe broke as I was walking there - I still passed!
Ziggles, today I've been helping DS with his CV (we were doing it yesterday too until nearly 2 am) and I did some difficult cleaning I'd put off for ages - louvred doors and panelled kitchen door with lots of grooves, both painted white and a nightmare to do so didn't finish. My hand is really hurting now.
I'm cooking lunch, going out later, Dr's appt.
Hearing a very loud roadworks noise coming from somewhere so hope it won't interfere with me walking later on.
Apart from that, rain again.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
If you could get your dream outfit for free, what would it be and why?0 -
Hi all
Still too busy to really post but:
In answer to your question, Anglea:
A Vera Wang wedding dress please...completed with Tiffany's jewellery.0 -
That's a good choice of outfit FE
How's everyone this weekend?
Clothes challenge update - I was supposed to lose weight by Sept 6th or else throw out small misfits. I wore one of the skirts today0 -
Good evening girlies - hope everybodies having a fabb bank holiday weekend. I was out fri night, wedding reception last night and just had a very chilled day today. I started tidying up at 930 tonight, why do i always end up doing it at stupid oclock and having an evasion to it the rest of the time lol.
I decided to go with the idea of tidying all visable first - then take all my draws out tomorrow and tidy/clear out the plastic draws ive got.
My stand alone wardrobe broke - well rather a draw has completely broken. Its no big harmship though because its old, was cheap anyway and is on its last legs. Downside is ive got to purchase a new wardrobe.
Ive seen some lovely deals on additions catalogue - and the idea of spreading the cost over 3 months is quite appealing, as it means i can buy a bit more expensive one and not feel the pinch in one months pay cheque
the new wardrobe will give me the opportunity to really jig my stuff up and have a really good sort out and put some organisation back into madness!!
Im trying to be frugal in September all in all though - yea ... right. Including putting off having my hair done for a couple more weeks so i dont have to have a 2nd appointment before my hol in Octoberbecause ive got my jollidays
and also im being taken to the west end to see a show
I purchased 'mini shoppaholic' from asda on Friday as a pick me up as it was peeing it down and i was waiting to be able to run to my bus - i was belly laughing at it it was that hillerious. Best part of it for £3.96 I got mini shoppaholic and another book by the same author that im going to save for my jolls - see.. what did i say.. frugal :S hrm maybe not!0 -
Hi all
NGlady
I'm thinking a new wardrobe for you = room for more clothes
The wedding reception wasn't in a marquee in someone's front garden was it? There was one next door to mum.
What are you all up to today?
What do you think of Cbb - CL in particular as I know you're following it? I was a bit amazed how some of the women are dressed for the day -Tara's bikini bottoms and plunging necklines for example. Must be a distraction for the men talking to them.0 -
Looks like I'm talking to myself.
I went to two pubs today, feel a bit tipsy.0 -
Haha hi Anglea- hope your head isn't reporting your exploits from last night!
My head is thumping- probably from too little sleep. I set up a blog last night!
things are coming to a head at the place where i get paid to turn up monday to friday! I hate conflict and also hate having to make my complaint or dealing with difficult situations. I like to hide behind the peeps in the firing squad. About time i grew some huh!:o
We didn't have holiday yesterday- I could have done with one though- so tired- but not only sleep tired- need a rest tired. Aside from going to the Mobos on 5 October (:j)i plan to do nothing with that week's holidays...absolutely nothing.
Nglady i am impressed with your plan- i find that when i do that i continue to shop on the account and end up with more debt!
I need to be more frugal too- seem to be buying loads of food and not much else- and my weight is the highest it's ever been! It is just shocking even though i weigh myself regularly- bawled my eyes out on Sunday night. It's very depressing :-(. But i am taking the issue in hand and dealing with it.Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all
Ziggles no hangover for me thankfully. Are you thinking about changing your job if it's that bad?
What's your blog about - is it like a diary or about a theme? Seems like a good idea.
Make sure you keep a written record of any usernames, email accounts, passwords in case you get problems, especially if the computer crashes and you lose all your bookmarks. I've lost a few blogs in the past because of this, and for my current one I lost access for over 6 months, not even sure if I can get into it now.
Weight - getting on the scales can be very scary. I think when we see a high reading it can make us feel under a lot of pressure and want to lose it overnight! Sometimes telling yourself 'it's not a big deal' can help because the more pressure, the more likely you are to eat
Thinking of you all today.0 -
Morning all
Just a very quick question today - bit different to normal really.
Can anybody else relate to the traits of Rebecca Bloomwood in her books about being a shoppaholic?0 -
Helloooooo,
I've been away for a few days, then yesterday was busy, so only just found a chance to reply.
Anglea: I hope you're not hungover this morn :P About CBB, I have enjoyed this series more than any other, I'm totally addicted and soooo glad that C5 took it on. I do agree that Tara and Amy dress scantily. TBH I don't think most of the guys even notice them - I reckon Jedward are gay anyway, Lucien only has eyes for Kerry, Darren & Bobby are probably see those sights everyday, so it's nothing new to them.
NG: I've never read any of the shopaholic books :S I keep meaning to buy or borrow them from the library, but never remember!
ziggles - Wow you're going to the mobos? How did you get tickets/invited (if ya don't mind me asking)? I can't imagine tickets would be on general sale to the public, but maybe I'm wrong.0
