Hi all
August challenge -today was my slimming deadline for misfits, I plan to try them on tomorrow, have a feeling they won't all fit, not sure I will be able to part with them all as planned. Results in due course.
September challenge -
I've got a financial to-do list that needs to be completed.
Since doing that 40 page form, I've not kept up.
Awful weather, hope you're coping.0 -
Evening,
Just a quick post from me before I go dry my hair and have an early night. I've got to be up early for a driving lesson
Anglea: I look forward to hearing about which misfits you'll be parting with. Have you managed to lose some weight?
I ran 6.1 mile tonight and now the top of my foot is aching when I put pressure on it. I hope it's nothing serious as I have an actual, proper race in 12 days time. I'm totally unprepared and intend to walk most of it, but tbh I'll just be pleased if I get to the finish line.
I had a little trip to town today, too. Had a browse through the expensive charity shop (which is more like a top price boutique! £8 for a pair of used Primark heels is not good value. It's funny how the tags have "fantastic value!" written on them too - LOL indeed). They did have some pretty things like nice winter woolies, but nothing that I really loved. Whoever prices their items is seriously deluded :rotfl:
I know I still haven't decided on my September personal challenges, but I have some ideas. Just need to find five spare mins to type them up!
xxxxxxxxxxxx
BTW the weather here is nice, apart from the wind. Not sure what it's like elsewhere in the country though???
PS: glad to hear you feel better Ziggles. I guess the lazy weekend helped then?0 -
Morning girlies
reporting from the 'mid' country areaYep its certainly blowing, windy and horrible here
Where has my sunshine goned?!
its 100 degrees where I am off to in a few weeks this weekend - i cant wait hope its still like that when i get thre in a few weeks!
My september personal challanges:- Buy a new wardrobe - got a few ideas in the bag. Then get somebody to fix it me up, and use it as an opportunity for a clear out. I probably wont ebay though, as there isnt many hidden gems to be thrown. I used to organise my wardrobe as 'going out' 'work' 'casual' when I worked in my factory job, but tbh the factory was little more than t-shirts so probs wouldnt work now. Need to find an organisation from somewhere. and STOP wasteing space for sake of keeping it!!
- Have a little 'left over' money alongside my savings
- BOOK MY THEORY TEST - CL did you know in January it turns into a written exam. urgh! MUST PASS!
- contact a potential driving instructor and GET BOOKED!
- Return the boots dorothy perkins unkindly sent me - there a right state! and find some suitable ones - deffo despirate for them based on the current weather.
Has any of you started any prep for santa yet?0 -
Hi all
CL I still haven't tried anything on, hopefully will do it later. Well done on your running, as well as your future race. We also have a posh charity shop with upmarket prices, coats are astronomical. Hope you enjoyed your driving.
NGlady, my other home on MSE apart from this one is the Special Occasions forum and we start Christmas on 26th December each year LOL
Organising wardrobes - I've done it by colour, also by types. However, because most are misfits and there are so many clothes that I have to use those drop hangers with about 10 tops on each one, it's not easy to find anything as it's all crammed into a very narrow cupboard.
Sometimes I put whole outfits onto a hanger so they are easy to grab.
Have you tried it like me?0 -
26th December?! So what have you done so far? lol.
I have breifly thought about that idea anglea - never put it into action. Think I would need to buy a few staple peices to be able to do that, i.e leggings to go with each dress :S
but it does sound really good, that way you can gurantee what u need to wear with xyz will be clean and there with it etc. Much easier to plan nights/days out.
Think I may have to give serious consideration to that one0 -
How are you getting on girls?
I need to find a new system for my clothes as it's too crammed in the wardrobe and the drawers are full. Annoying because I re-did it not that long ago.
The misfits update - one fits well and I've been wearing it, the others still tight but nearly fitting so I'm going to keep them another month and see. I know I'm going back on my intention but I like them.0 -
Hi all,
Hope you're enjoying the weekend. I couldn't believe how warm it was yesterday, despite it being mid-September. Let's hope it continues...
Moneywise I am doing better this month. Have spent very little, other than the necessities. But I need to have two or three months like this, to make up for August. That's basically my "challenge".
About organising my wardrobe... my idea of organisation is just for everything to be on hangers! I'm not colour coordinated, and I don't have all my stuff in different categories.
Had a couple of rubbish buyers on ebay, and ended up having to give refunds. Sometimes I wonder why I bother selling stuff as some people really ruin it for everyone else.
NG: yeah I know the theory test is changing in Jan, that's why I rushed and did mine. I can imagine it's gonna be more difficult as there won't be multiple choice. I booked mine one week and did it the next - at least that was I HAD to revise, lol.0 -
Hi all
CL I'm envious, warm yesterday? I got soaked, went out in bare legs and sandals and there was a gale and heavy rain
Sorry about Ebay. I wonder how FE is getting on?
Spending less - good luck. I spent a heck of a lot the last few weeks going out.0 -
It's been windy here with sun showers, but very warm too. Hopefully the tropical storm that they're predicting for tomorrow won't be as bad as they're making out... otherwise I reckon my driving lesson will be cancelled.
"Social" spending is a whole different kind of spending and it's not something I ever spend a lot on. I can never justify buying drinks in pubs... :S My downfall is cheap multipacks of drinks/junk food at the moment.
I'm off for a walk to the supermarket to see if they've got anything nice reduced (cakes preferably... haha). Wish me luck! x0
