Re: the comping, well I have a programme on my computer that fills forms so it saved me a lot of typing. Though I did used to do it all by hand which was painful!!!

My clothes are all very plain now... though I used to love patterns/bright colours, I'm too OCD when it comes to matching colours, etc, so am trying to phase out anything too "fussy" from my wardrobe. Though I can see me ending up with an entire monochrome wardrobe... at least I'll wear it all, I suppose!

I don't know what to do with myself tonight. Maybe a mammoth Eastenders catchup, considering I haven't watched it for over a month! I'm currently feeling rather pee'd off with most of my family so am hibernating in my room (well, until they go out anyway). I guess that's what happens when you're in your twenties and still living at home **sigh**

CL, I enter about the same amount of comps as you and I also have Roboform. I paid for the full version (Currently £7.99) so it does all my logins too.

Still no new clothing purchases to report...trying to find even more to sell. Finally wore a top and cardigan from last year which were new because I had had no chance to wear them. So new but not new clothing... :)

Just a quick hello girlies - as I realllllllly need to go to bed. Does anybody else ever have those evenings where you need to go to sleep, yet you end up doing stuff, followed by stuff, and then its dead late when you finally go to bed, but looking back u havnt really done anything? thats what ive had tonight.

CL - i know what you mean completely. Its hard at our age to be at home still, BUT more and more people our age are forced to do it unfortunatly. Does get on my nerves too when family are round... alllll... the..... time.... also hate it when people eat my food - i know that sounds selfish, but i buy all my own work food, and yes a pink and white only costs about 10p each, but its still been brought by me on top of my board and I only buy limited amounts to what I actually need to therefore not waste my money. urgh.

PAYDAY in 2 minutes - thank god.... I have eight pounds left lol.
  • Hi NG. I know what you mean about being up late doing stuff but actually realising you've done nothing.

I could never, ever go back to sharing a house/flat with people again, other than with a significant other. I know NG and CL live at home with family, but that was also intolerable for me. What bugs me is when I was on benefits, it used to be you had to be over 25 for the council to agree to let you have a home to yourself; they'd sooner force people into shared accommodation...now the Condems have changed it to 35....what person of that kind of age wants to live in a commune !!!!!!?! It's degrading. Not that I envisage being forced into shared housing or anything, not now.

    Hi all

NGlady I know what you mean about time disappearing late at night, I've done it the last few nights. This morning I had a dental appt and I was so tired by the time I got there that I found it really hard to deal with the new dentist. She was so talkative, energetic and bouncy and all I wanted was someone quiet.

    Who's been eating your food?

CL what did you end up doing tonight? Re patterns - I usually decide against buying a lot of it because it seems that it will be more remembered by anyone seeing me (if I wore it a lot) than if I wear plain. That's how I feel about the summer dresses that are everywhere. I've got some I wear indoors but never wear them out.

FE what clothes do you like?

    Evening,

FE: I use Roboform too... best tool ever. It paid for itself within a few days anyway, so well worth it.

Yeah NG I know exactly what you mean about your own food. I buy things for myself too - like cans of coke, crisps, the sort of things. I can't put them in the fridge or else the rest of the house will eat them. Bit selfish really, as I am the one in the house who pays board (my bro works but doesn't pay a thing... will save that whinge for another day though!) and it's always my stuff that gets eaten. I'm also the only one who bothers to muck in with all the household stuff. Just frustrates me sometimes!!!

Shame you can't choose your family :p

ps: happy pay day :) Spend it wisely.

Anglea: I had a bit of a tidy-up in my room, but nothing major -- just the bits you can see :o It doesn't look too bad until you open the cupboards...
  • Anglea: Ideally, I'd wear a LOT of Vivienne Westwood. I like things fitted (but not bodycon). I prefer to have a few quality items rather than loads of cheaper ones (but then again, Primark does the best plain T shirts I've found anywhere and I have a fair few of these). I like classic looks, such as a plain T shirt and jeans with a pair of baseball boots (for daytime, casual). I'd never wear anything high-fashion. Obviously, when clothes shopping, the items available to buy are current, and as such, can be described as being "in fashion"...but from these, I only select things I like and which are timeless; ie a floral dress I can wear every summer til either it falls apart, I change shape, or I get bored of it. I love the 60s look in particular, but 50s dresses suit my shape. I like things from every era...not ventured into the 40s yet....I did try on some dresses today but they didn't quite fit me. I'm an awkward shape as I am a 4-6 on top but a 6-8 on bottom (more an 8), so getting a dress or jacket which fits me all over is a hard task!!
NG's seen me; I am a picky shopper and actually find it hard to find things to buy!!

CL: Without Roboform, I'd get RSI from comping....and of course not be able to enter so many. Certainly been winning less than I used to, because so many more people are entering these days. How's the eBaying coming on?

    Hi Guys

All that comping- i've only ever won a bach remedy kit, though i'm by no means an avid enter-er of competitions.
Ohh FE Vivienne westwood- what kind of clothes are those- do educate a poor philistine like me.
Also CE and NGlady- i am with you on the 'my stuff' thing- some people just eat/take your stuff but they would never buy it themselves- so just goes to show.
I am currently struggling with someone who takes some stuff from me that they NEVER buy and are now doing so without asking. It really annoys me. i am almost at the point of saying let's not share anything at all unless you ask or are offered. Selfish but self preserving i think- less aggro all round.
In other news work frustration is sky high and i am really frazzled by it all. It's affecting everything. I am finding it ever more difficult to be civil and not gun down innocent bystanders. I feel soo unprofessional and practically imcompetent.
i am binge eating even more than ever and generally everything is a mess- summer is always a bit wierd for me as personal life slows down and work get's mental but this is just on another level!
But on the other hand- budget is good and we are seeing some improvement in spending from the spenging that was June!
Must go and do dome work to prove i'm not a lazy mare.
    Have a nice day guys

    Zx

  • Zigs, look here at some of Vivienne Westwood's stuff. Gorgeous. I currently only have one dress and one top from her though as I am but a mere peasant!! http://www.my-wardrobe.com/vivienne-westwood-anglomania She has lots of Japanese fans so she does nice, tiny sizes. :D

The comping is very time consuming but it can really be worth it. :)
