Hi all
NGlady, I'll be the devil's advocate and ask why not just have another bank account, perhaps a different bank to save muddling up the debit cards and use that?
I'm wondering what your willpower will be like if you know there is 500 going spare?0 -
Anglea - I do have two bank accounts but because im so scared of going into an overdraft I some how always end up using my saves card and transfering from my current - gets very complicated.
Going to stop doing that this month and not even carry that card, especially in first three weeks of month. If its that important I have x y or z i will travel back for it if i dont have it with me there an then0 -
Plan for today:
More eBaying
Job hunting
Comping
Told you my life is exciting!!0 -
Haha FE living on the edge huh! LOL
How are we all this wonderful Monday morning?
i am working my butt off- so much work so little time to do it in...
Have a nice day!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all
FE, your life is exciting if you win more contests!
NGlady would going out with a giftcard that you could top up instead of a debit card help you?
I'm wondering about trying that out with myself because I can never find what I need and instead spend the money on unnecessaries.0 -
Hi all,
Anglea... re: "pants", people here call trousers pants... or maybe that's just me being weirdI don't use any U.S web sites at all.
And you said you saw someone who looked like me at the doctors - well I was actually at the doctor's that day, how v strange! Glad to hear I have a doppleganger though.
I have cleared another 5x bulky items from "The Wardrobe Of Doom" - very pleased. For some reason hardly anything else sold, but I can relist another time.
Had a driving lesson today... he seems to think it won't be too long 'til I do my test  so gotta get cracking and learn my theory! I know that once I've passed I'm going to want a car straight away, so that will motivate me to look for a job/sell some more.
I got back most of what I was owed, and tomorrow I'll be returning a lot of the things that I bought last week. My life is just about as interesting as FE's at the mo
FE: I see you won £100, well done. I've started comping again too and the wins have started arriving. I'd almost forgotten how much I missed the thrill of it!
NG: I will pm you my name, althoguh I hardly ever use f/book anymore.0 -
hi all
Ziggles we must have crossed post, didn't see yours. Are you still on the fudge? Any news from FWB or is that over for good?
CL, you're doing really well with the driving and your decluttering.
What time were you at the doctors, that would be a coincidence if it was a similar time too, I was in the waiting room 4.20 -5.15 when I finally got in to see the doctor.
As you and FE are successful at contests, how many do you both enter a week?0 -
Anglea, that is a fantastic idea RE: the gift card for NG to top up and use instead of a debit card.
CL, thanks for the congrats on the win; it was from a Savlon comp I found here.
CL and Anglea, I enter only for things I can either use myself, give to OH, share with OH, or sell (I'm not going to lie here!)
Zigs, I went really daring today; photographed some of my eBay items in my garden. Edgy or what?!0 -
Hi all,
I went shopping yesterday... returned one bag (£12.50), one cardie (£24.99) and a vest top (£4.99).
I bought some shoes (£16.99) and a top (£3)... the shoes will probs be returned though, as they are very low cut at the toes, iyswim!
I did see a lot of things that I liked, but tried to be practical about it - e.g. do I have anything to wear it with??? If not then it got put straight back down again.
Ang: I was at the doc's at about 4.10pm, though I was only picking up a prescription.
As for competitions... I do approx 2000 entries per month, when I'm not feeling lazy that is! That number seems to net me a fair few wins per month.
NG & Ang: Have you made any progress with decluttering your clothing yet?
My ebaying has gotten so bad that I've actually started to dream about it. I dreamed that I got a card from City Link to say that they tried to collect my parcels but I didn't answer, so I'd have to pay £14 again for them to collect  Fortunately it was a nightmare and they haven't yet been! Sad eh :rotfl::o0 -
Hi all
CL that was so funny about your dream. I suppose it must be on your mind a lot.
I had one about going to the solicitor's office a few days ago that was so real that when I got up in the morning I was convinced it happened.
2000 entries a month, that's a heck of a lot of typing!!
You're being good with the clothes, considering what will they go with.
That's the problem with all the clothes I found in the back of the wardrobe they don't go with anything else I have.
I would love to have the nerve to get rid of it all and only get a few basics which can be mixed and matched with accessories etc.
What I find incredible is that I've got double or even treble the amount of clothes than years ago when ex lived here as I've taken over his storage space, yet still can't find anything to wear!0
