How many days to go NGlady - how big are those suitcases more to the point to fit all your new clothes :)

I hate packing too. I love my holidays though, wish I could learn to love packing.

I have just completed my total spends for this month - over budget on housekeeping and personal spending.

Overall though I have not exceeded my budget, mainly due to the fact that no council tax is due this month. (that's my excuse anyway!)

Hullo oh virtual pals of mine!
    Long time no post.
Hope you’re all well and keeping to budget…well close enough anyway:D
I have news… I leave home next week to share with another woman in a nice wee hoose very near work so I can even walk in as it is literally a 2 minute drive.:j:j:j
It will be a very tight budget but I am prepared for it. So I shouldn’t be any worse off and I expect an increment (peanuts really) or even a raise in June and to finish paying a loan in October.
In other news…I have eaten unimaginable amounts of fudge in the last week or so…out of control again…I am blaming it on the anxiety of deciding which place to take and work and home dramas etc.:o
I need a holiday I am so envious of NGlady. I might take a week off after moving in just to recharge as I’m absolutely exhausted.
Well Happy Friday (and payday for me!)
Have a lovely weekend- I shall be packing and throwing stuff away and sleeping.

    Hi all

Ziggles, you have given us some surprising news as it seemed like your move out might have been a long time away.

    WELL DONE :T

I think I might need to have a word with your house mate to keep your supply of fudge in check!

Frogletina, how are you feeling now?

CL - DID YOU BUY ANY MORE BOOTS?????? :rotfl:

Got a solicitors letter on Tuesday set in motion by ex (strange he never said a word during all our time together recently so I wasn't best pleased) I haven't spoken to him about it as he's away.

Then mum was rushed to hospital Wednesday night. I got a call this morning to say she will be home this afternoon. So it's been a weird week. I'm not sure how I'm going to be with ex and his family on Sunday's now. Logically I'd like to make life as simple as I can for myself and not let this affect me. Emotionally it's not easy to do. I might have to adapt my martyr identity to do it.

Oh dear Anglea- that doesn't sound like a nice thing to do at all. I know sometimes it's hard to break 'the' news but really???
I hope 'playing the matyr' will not affect you too adversly. Maybe a plan to gently say you're disappointed that he didn't discuss it with you so at least someone know's you are not impressed. Otherwise it aloows them to think it's ok to continue to behave abominably!

Yeah i know i've been 'leaving home' for like 3 years now...and i finally did it. All very rush rush so i didn't lose momentum.
The parental weren't expecting it though...

Hope your mum's ok. At least she's able to come home now. I also hope you're coping ok with all this

    Thanks Ziggles.

I've always been the kind of person to speak my mind (usually unwisely LOL) so it may be that he was too scared to say anything. Or else didn't even think I might want to know from him.

After the very bad argument I had some weeks back with someone else, I decided that I would avoid confrontations again because they create so much stress and worry for myself when things get out of hand.

On a different topic, I am concerned that I offered to help someone out except they misinterpreted what I said, so thought I offered to do something very sensitive because by now they were talking about something else and I didn't realise. I was in a state of shock once I cottoned on what had happened. It's put me into a very serious situation if by chance they will ask for my help.

I'm really late today and should have been out ages ago. I'll be back later girls.

    Hi all,

Anglea: I'm sorry to hear about your mum - I hope she is recovering well. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the moment. As for your friend's possible misinterpretation... if she brings it up and it turns out that she has misunderstood you, then I wouldn't do anything I felt uncomfortable with.

Mother's Day tomorrow, are you all prepared to spoil your mums? I bought mine a little something last week (although I tend to buy little things all year around anyway, regardless of occasions) & won some tickets to a show, so all sorted there. I always make a card as I think they're appreciated more than a bought card.

Will tot up my March spends later. I really need to get cracking and start my April spreadsheet as I haven't noted down my spends for a few days now :S

I saw my eldest daughter today, she brought round a card and some chocolates (don't know when I can eat them though as I'm on a diet! - which she knows!)

We went out into town, and I'm sitting in the bank while she is sorting a few things out when one arm of my glasses falls off! Went to the opticians who could not fix so choice of new arm (would need to be ordered) but he found the same frame in a different colour which he said would do for same price £10 so I went for that. Unexpected expense.

Daughter wanted KFC, so I just had chips and beans (I don't eat meat)

Had call from my daughter in law, she is coming tomorrow with a present for me - didn't mention if my son was coming with her, lets hope so. Not heard from my youngest girl, who is having a difficult time at the moment.

Anglea - I hope tomorrow goes ok for you, and that you sort out the misunderstanding with your friend.

Also, thanks for thinking of me - I am still feeling better than I was, I'm sure all the exercising helps.

Ziggles, I hope the move goes ok next week

Cl, I know what you mean about the spreadsheet - last month I didn't note things down for about a week and it really tested me. I have just realised that I didn't put down my haircut - so need to amend my March figures.
