You've had a busy day Frogletina. Hope you carry on enjoying all your swimming and making good use of your new outfits.

Hope you get all your repairs done, annoying having things go wrong.

    The bra sounds lovely.

I was on a mission today to buy more necessary things for the house, strange but since yesterday all the duvets in the sizes I wanted have gone. I also spent a long time making notes whilst going round a hardware shop, I wonder if they thought I was a mystery shopper because every few moments someone came up and asked if I needed help.

I didn't eat much today. I've found that since imposing that 'no eating at the computer' ban I'm not interested in food. I'm also stopping having any drinks on my bedside table because I often spilled them and I've decided I've had enough of that kind of hassle.

What are the rest of you doing this weekend - CL and Ziggy?

NG how is your challenge working out?

    Hi all :)

Ang - I did write about that woman, then I realise she's not worth being irritated by! Just one sad lady, really.

Ahhh I've dropped an entire Sunday roast on my keyboard before... I couldn't deal with cleaning it out so just bought a whole new keyboard :S I'm always eating at my computer though - I never learn!!

Glad to hear you got some of the items on your necessities list. It's funny how we don't get the same thrill from buying things that we need. Or at least that's how I feel. I still need some new trainers for running... mine have holey soles now, which can't be good for my feet!

Frogletina - your purchases sound nice. IMO it's better to buy a few nice good quality items, than lots of stuff just because it's cheap.

I must confess to buying quite a few copies of Glamour magazine just for the Clinique freebies... Also bought some stuff from New Look online. I didn't realise that they don't allow refunds on sale items, so I am a bit annoyed about that :( Luckily my sister wants to buy one of the items from me... & I guess I'll have to try to flog the rest of them on ebay to get my money back. Just thought I'd post here about it in case you (NG lol) don't realise and end up making the same mistake as me!!

Caffeine-wise, I am still sticking with it. I have a bottle of water by my side for when I feel like straying :o I'm going to bed much earlier though & still feel tired alllllll day.

    Hi All
just back from friends house again. her kids are mental!!!
Went down for bro's ex-girlfriend's leaving night out.
    very good as usual.
I woke up paralysed...my knees were like a 90yr old's i don't know how but i am scared to say anything cos dad will just say it's cos i'm overweight and blah blah...as usual!
I'll see what happens in the next few months and if it's bugging me will see doc.
I am on the bach emotional eating drops again...hoping they'l have a positive effect - if i remember to keep taking them...don't care if it's psychosomatic as long as something happens!
I bought 3 bras and a pair of undies from tatco yesterday and will try tem on before bed but they were like £3 each so barrgain- hope they fit. I know i should get properly measured but there are no boutiques here as i think M&S and la senza etc. are pretty rubbish at measuring and it's all shop and weight specific anyway!
    Hope you're all doing ok.
I'm just gonna do a few things then crash...so tired!

    Hi girls, hi NG

CL I was laughing about your keyboard mishaps, sorry for that.
Tell you what, only eating at the dining table has put me right off eating.

Today I had a lot of cake but that was because I was out of the house, I've kept up avoiding it at home.

I've had that strange dry mouth and tongue problem again, I have a suspicion it might be drinking tea I think it's dehydrating and I know it is acidic.

How much does that Glamour cost? Is it cheaper than the products you're getting free?

About feeling tired, I think that often happens if you give up an addiction. I wonder how much money you've saved from not buying those energy drinks?

Ziggy, when you say you woke up paralysed. Do you mean like those hypnagogic hallucinations when you wake up and can't move because really you're still asleep? Or do you mean your knees are physically hurting a lot?

Sometimes if both knees hurt are painful like that it can be because of doing something too long in the same position e.g. sitting, crouching, bending down or if you go upstairs 2 at a time.

Does any of that apply to you?

    Hey Anglea
I'm pretty good in public etc for eating too much rubbish, it's when i'm at home that i become like a wild animal and gorge myself!
Main problem is that i cannot stop buying the stuff. practically impossible :(

As for the knees we were partying last night and i had kitten heels on. But lately i've had peoblems in that i twsted my knee at zumba before christmas and after that it gets quite stiff from siting at work or crossing legs and stuff. After zumba last week i could hardly climb the stairs even though usually i have no pain at all. I'm annoyed becasue i know being overweight doesn't help but it is still a legitimate problem and going to the doctor they make you feel like poo and ignore your complaints becasue of it. (and i suspect they have HYPOCHONDRIAC scribbled all over my notes) I hate doctors!

    Hi all

Ziggles no more fudge I hope? See I'm checking up on you LOL

If I were you I'd try hot baths or hot flannels and warm muscle rub. If they don't work, use ice muscle rub.

Don't sit with your legs crossed because that can effect your hips as well as varicose veins.

Wiggle your feet around if you're sitting at work.

Problems with knees can take ages before the pain goes.

If you can't manage try ordinary pills, the ones the doctor gives you can affect your stomach. He will probably say you've got inflammation or refer you for an xray.

Unless you are extremely overweight then I don't think your size will be affecting you if you've had a previous injury.

    Hi all,

NG - thanks for letting me know about New look! I didn't know that :)

ziggles - the paraylsis sounds scary... but if you're in pain, then don't let your weight put you off seeing a doctor. Even if it is weight-related (which it might not me), it's still pain & you shouldn't have to suffer!!

Anglea - Glamour is £2... it's well worth it for the freebies, I think. I got a little tube of 'moisture surge' cream, a pot of eye cream & a lipgloss (which I always use). I was looking for the makeup remover but everywhere seems to have sold out :(

Went into town today and spent about an hour posting ebay items! Also bought some items that I needed from Boots - I paid with a voucher so no spends there. I've been lusting after some beautiful earrings in Debenhams but they're far too expensive for me. I saw the same ones on ebay last night but some !!!!!! outbid me in the last second

What have the rest of you been up to? Seems not many of us have reported any unnecessary spends recently... gotta be a good thing! :T

    Hi guys

Thanks for the encouragement. my knees are much better today on their own. I shall see what happens after zumba on wednesday night then report back or go to the doctor. Promise:p
Feeling a bit p'd off just now. Think all the endorphins from the fun weekend have left me feeling a but 'urgh'.

Anglea- no fudge promise...except for the taste at the expo last week:D P.s. i am VERY overweight but compact so it's much worse than it looks- my friend almost fainted when i told her i weighed more than her (15st) Hell i weigh more than the guy at work and he's 6'6 or something.
Although i must confess i'm not doing very well on the prayer or bingeing thing...but i am trying
CL- i think i might get my hand son some of those samples and use them for b/day pressies or xmas...or myself- cheap either way!y

I've taken my bach drops all day and didn't feel peckish for choccies at work (though i wa busy and that always helps) or just now.
    Day one and counting:cool:

    Hi all

I'll let you off CL with the mags, as you obviously are in desperate need of the freebies LOL

I bet you could afford the new earrings now you've given up energy drinks.

I haven't had any unnecessary spends for a while, amazing, although I picked up something ridiculous at the charity shop on Saturday lucky I put it back.

Ziggles re your weight. What I don't understand is how you can wear jeans all the time I would have thought it the other way round, that you'd be wearing skirts. I can't get jeans to fit and live in skirts and even they can be hard to get right.

Glad your knees are better today. Glad you had a good weekend.

What's the problem with the prayers - are you just forgetting or don't feel like it?

I haven't done my Feb. totals yet - how about the rest of you?
