WOOHOOO to the ladies with the 'fwb'

Well, in my case - the phrase is more fwb wannabe - he's never mentioned that's what he wants to be, but he doesn't give much away when he texts anyway.

It's a strange relationship that is conducted online except for one meet up. He's is very important in my life and I call him my muse and he's been very instrumental in some of the poetry that I write and perform

One of my friends wrote about my poems on his blog

D.... whose monthly poems of her mysterious muse, who wants her, but then never arrives.

    Hi girls

Frogletina, do you think the way you feel about him is because it's a fantasy relationship so if you saw him regularly the reality might not match the imagination?

I was about to say I don't think you should put your life on hold for him, then I realised that I've done the same about ex. who as you know I see all the time in a platonic way and for nearly 6 years too.

NGlady how can you be overinvolved with someone yet not find them irrestistible?

Or do you mean one of those attractions that can't ever go anywhere but you know you both fancy each other?

Frogletina, that must have been an unpleasant to find out about your bank accounts and it seems really lucky you managed to get your mail back.

LOL about your umbrellas. Mind you, I don't think you can ever have enough although I no longer have any because I'm fed up of getting a new one only to have it break the first time because of the kinds of strong wind and lashing rain we get nowadays.

However, I am on the lookout for a large umbrella with a sharp metal end as I think it would be useful when the weather is bad with snow and ice. A few years ago when it was thick ice I managed to walk as far as my parents but was too scared to walk back and borrowed a walking stick, but it was useless.

CL, I was going to ask why did you buy more energy drinks at all just because they were on offer. They will be temptation to drink a lot next month unless you always give them to your mum.

Ziggles how are you getting on? Are you reading your Bible?

I thought I'd give up biting my nails for Lent. I either have too long and they break or I eat them to the quick. At the moment they look bad :(

Shopping - what do you think about this - you know how I can never find anything to fit, or cannot find the right things I want for the house.

Got me thinking that a lot of men would look at a list - duvet cover, trousers, shirt and always return home with them, because they wouldn't be trying to find the exact right item like most women do.

Would our lives be much simpler if we just thought like men?

So there would be no bad hair days, or panic if a spot appeared on the nose so you have to say indoors!. Buy whatever you need without worry if it matched.

A classic thing I came across. Some young mums put a sign on their children 'dressed by dad' :rotfl:

    What do you all think?

Oh yes, and what a fantasy. Whether it could be any more than that I can't say - living so far apart I doubt we could see each other regularly and our lifestyles are so different.

I can't afford to put my life on hold for too long waiting for him to decide what he wants, and yet I'm not yet ready to give him up, except there's nothing really to give up except my feelings for him

When my last relationship broke up I was so unhappy that it took me years to get over it. So for those who don't know, I took voluntary redundancy, moved house and went on a few holidays and started my life again - I tend to make a habit of new starts

Hi ladies (and any male lurkers)

Isn't it terrible abot Japan. I tell you even non-believers must be thinking the end is nigh. It's just so sadenning to imagine the total fear, devastation and soon desperation to survive. it really does make my heart sore.

    Hi all

Ziggles, I think a lot of people might be thinking of the end times in view of the 2012 prophecies about the end of the world and a lot of the unrest and disasters happening recently seem to be similar to the ones mentioned in the Bible.

On that happy note :rotfl:I'll just say that I had to reverse my decision about eating at the computer. This is because I have all my to do lists online and used to read them first thing in the morning as I ate breakfast. So all this week I hardly glance as them and consequently forgot to do some very important things!

However, I will have to only eat non-hazardous items, so I chose to eat my lunch (stew and dumplings) well away from the computer.

Hmm stew and dumplings- a guilty pleasure of mine. Hee hee i think that's a good idea about the non-hazardous items.
I have to come clean about eating about 100gm of dry cereal just now after supper just because it was there!
i have a nice weekend planned- day out with a friend who needs some love, understanding and support. Then on Sunday church and seeing my fwb. Not sure how i'm going to answer that one at judgement but it's what i feel i need just now! Especially with my weight really getting to me!
    Have a nice weekend xx

p.s. does anyone know how to use hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse- do i have to dilute it (it's a 3% solution) and will it foam like sherbert or what????

    Hi all

Ziggles, tut tut, FWB on a Sunday too. Are you going to confession next week? :)

Cereal is usually much higher in calories if you have milk so dry isn't that bad.

Hydogen Peroxide - why are you going to use it as mouthwash- try warm water with salt instead.

I used to use HP as a rinse on my hair to make it go much lighter, one time it nearly went orange so just imagine what it might do to your mouth!

    Hi ladies,

Anglea - I agree that if we all thought like (most) men, we wouldn't be so choosy or end up returning/not wearing so many things! My brother is quite fashion-conscious, but nowhere near as picky as me. Like you said, he makes a list and buys everything in one shopping trip. Quite amazing really.

I'm having a bit of a fashion crisis at the moment. I want to dress more girly, but also want to feel comfortable. For me, comfortable = hoodies and jeans. I can't quite find that elusive "balance".

I REALLY want to be able to wear dresses/skirts as I get so tired of jeans every day. I have never in all my adult life wore a dress or skirt (though I have bought many :S)! Where do I find that confidence? I'm not a particularly feminine-looking girl, which is why I steer clear of all things overly girly.

I bought a dress online and tried it on today, and just felt so ridiculous in it, so obviously that's gonna be returned! I also bought some hoodies which made me feel totally butch, so they're going back too. Seriouslyyyy, I think I need to be Gokked!

ziggles - you're def supposed to dilute the hydrogen peroxide, 50/50 water and hydrogen peroxide. Don't keep it in your mouth for too long. I'm always too scared to use it... in case I swallow some by mistake :o I stick to Corsodyl, though that stuff is pretty lethal and makes my mouth peel/burn too.

As for Japan... it is frightening, as well as the tsunami they're dealing with a potential nuclear spillage. We don't realise how lucky we are living here :(

    Hi all

CL I'm going to make you feel better about clothes.

Today I had a major crisis because I was meeting a relative I've never seen before (from overseas) but now has moved to the next town. We got on really well even though she's more DS's age than mine. However, before getting dressed I discovered that I had one of my bloating allergy reactions, so not only was my face puffy but none of my clothes fit! 20 outfits later I found I had to wear my old denim skirt.

With it I put on a light pinky salmony vest with the same colour thin hooded zip up. So what about making gradual changes - something like I wore perhaps?

If you are worried about legs and skirts, I wore boots - and I know you've got lots of those! :rotfl:

I've got the opposite problem to you, I want to wear jeans but can't. Nor can I get myself a jacket that looks right with my skirts.
