    Hi all

NGlady, your spends lately do sound different from the old days. Have you bought anything new for this holiday? I remember maxi dresses were mentioned for your previous one.

Ziggles, that tart sounds lovely with clotted cream or icecream.

I just ate rather a lot of cakes, always do on a Sunday :( as I make a very old fashioned high tea.

Anyone else see the space shuttle? It was such a clear night that ex was pointing out all sorts of constellations and for once I could see them.

Your March ideas Ziggles about food and prayer, seem sensible. I haven't made up my mind yet.

I have brought a top for my Holday; but it didn't really cost me anything.. I brought 2x bodyshop vouchers for £24 (worth£60) and couldnt see much for me, so i used some mothers day/brthday present money and brought a top and brought the pressies out of this voucher.

Do love maxi dresses though and a woman on hol last year wore them lots - quite like the idea, maybe if i find out i like ill get...

Did buy an awful lot of stuff from dorothy perkins webste last night as discount code as im after one maybe two dresses for my holiday and a nice top for hol too - but wasnt sure which ones I wanted so spent £170 :O will return a good £110 worth tho probs.

    Hi all

NGlady do you have a seperate room for all your clothes? :)

I still haven't decided on my challenge.

Challange update: I have near enough tidied my room :D Decided to tidy the "seeable" before I go deep into the wardrobes!

Anglea, I dont have a seperate room as such, but I do have a small walk in wardrobe, its like a little walk way between my bedroom and ensuite, maybe about 50 inches or something each side.. never really measured it. Also have a free standing wardrobe at the side. And two of those stacks of plastic draw things for makeup/underwear/etc

In regards to not wasteing money, not wasteing money at the minute, but i've decided to do my challange money a little differently this week. I have one transaction from my bank account on a saturday, thats got to last for everything until bed time on Friday night. HOWEVER its not as easy as it sounds, I have got to save up for any addictional holiday clothes from that, and hopefully have a little bit towards my spending money :)

Wont be taking much spending money though, we're going all inclusive and everything at the place is super cheap anyway so if I took too much id be tempted to waste. Which is a bad NGlady

    Hi all

Well done on your tidying NG. And I think you've set yourself a very good challenge, it will be interesting to see how you get on.

This month I will be -

    1. positive habit - I want to spend 5 mins or more a day reflecting the day to see how I can improve on it and make life simpler.

    2. don't buy any goodies just for me alone and even with DS home no Doritos or crisps. And hopefully no bread, thick butter and jam between meals :)

    Eveninggggg,

I have been reading all of your posts though didn't replied as feel like ebay and other stuff has taken over my life! Sad, eh.

Frogletina - ahh well if you can afford the gym then that's fair enough :) It's ridiculous that I could easily justify spending £40 on clothes but I'd find it really hard to shell out on gym memberships. Need to get my priorities right!

NG - you sound focused with your spending at the minute. Are you still keeping your spending diary?

The March challenge... thanks for the suggestions, Anglea. Mine will be:

    1) to limit caffeinated to drinks to 1 per day
    2) continue to declutter my life, sell all the rubbish I've accumulated. I've filled a bag with stuff to sell, and if it doesn't sell by the end of the month then it's going to charity!

I quite like the idea of the reverse list, but perhaps would end up as an excuse for me to spend more money?

Ugh, I have a killer spot on my head I'm not kidding, it's the size of a 50p piece and I KNOW it was caused by the energy drinks I drank today (challenge starts tomorrow ;))

My spends/returns were DIRE last month. And I've already slipped up this month, but as far as I'm concerned, March starts tomorrow.

Anglea, you'll like this tale... it seems karma bit back yesterday when I wore the newest addition to my shoe collection (yes that's right - I bought more!!!!!). I was hobbling around the town in AGONY as they tore my feet to shreds. My feet hurts so much that I can't even bear my socks to touch the blistered bits :(

    Hi all

CL, You poor thing, that's a horrible thing to have. I'm not going to tell you off for the additional purchase at all (although I would have done if your feet were ok :))

How many energy drinks did you have today dare I ask?

Since starting the challenge today I was scavenging in the cupboards to see what I could eat. No snacks. So I felt very agitated.

Well done CL on wanting to keep decluttering. It's such a hard thing to do. I've lost count how long I've been looking at cluttered bedroom surfaces. There was a time when all I had on them was a few ornaments, a distant dream.

On my 5 min reflection today I had a brainwave about using a checklist for a form I have to fill in every couple of months because I got 2 calls from them this morning because I'd filled it in wrong. Not the first time either.

    Hi ladies,

Wow this no caffeine thing is really hard... I feel like an addict.

I stuck to it yesterday but was so tired that I went to bed at 4.30pm and got up at 8.30am this morn :S I really hope this is a short term tiredness and that it will wear off. TBH I would usually have about 8x caffeinated drinks/day so to have just 1x on a morning is a big drop.

Decluttering is really hard, but I just have to keep reminding myself that everything has a place... and things need to be put back in that place as soon as I've used them, otherwise the clutter starts to amass and becomes overwhelming.

Today = returning stuff, posting ebay parcels, tidying up, emptying bins, doing washing, and lots of other mundane tasks that I hate doing. I still have that 'Eat that frog' page bookmarked btw - I find it really useful, little quotes like that always stick in my head :)

    Hi all

That was a lot of caffeinated drinks you normally have CL I'm surprised you ever slept.

Hope your day goes according to plan today.

Yesterday was very bad day. I phoned someone. On a twist of fate their phone was engaged. So I decided to visit them. They have that victim and martyr personality so everything is always about them and everyone else is making them suffer. Yesterday it really got to me and I got into a seriously bad argument. In the end I was acting a bit crazy.

I didn't go out today as I didn't feel up to it. However yesterday after the confrontation I think I was in shock and I got home and cut my hair (I had planned to trim it in the week) probably not a good idea to do it in that state of mind. It looks strange today.

    Hi all

Hope you have had a good day

My house is getting less attention because I am going to the gym nearly every day, but less time to spend other money.

I bought an umbrella in Debenhams but then saw there was a sale on 2 days later! I thought I had a bargain as I found one that had not gone up in price - most were higher but if I'd left it another couple of days would have been cheaper still.

But I might have bought more in the sale - may take a look tomorrow but will set myself a limit. Would like some new lingerie, not sure I can wait until I have lost more weight which was the plan

CL - I need to get back onto the decluttering, have a box of things to go through, must make time for it

Oh - I have kept on budget this month with food and spends, if you discount the gym membership, which I don't regret for one moment
