Hi all
How did you get on today?
Miracles will never cease, today in Greggs I decided against buying a ready made baguette because then I'd have to get Doritos or crisps to put inside them (anyone else do that?), so just bought a bag of baguettes then went to the veg shop and bought some salad and avoided my favourite giant flapjack (600 cals) and yoghurt banana chips they also sell.0 -
Hey guys...
pringles...prawn cocktail or salt and vinegar- anything that tastes vinegary i'm there. Markies do a great sea salt and balsamic vinegar one that i ONLY ever buy at christmas! dunno why.
No fudge at all it's like almost 2 weeks now!!!!! Though i have found plenty of other ways to entertain my mouth....minstrels....Like i said before...i'm a mess but so are most of us.
Dinner was nice. I had 2 startes which were perfect- gnocchi and crostini" both delish and then had the melting middle pud...even more delish. I enjoyed it and it was nice to see my friend.
today i think i'll have someting fairly light.
How has everyone's day been?

Hi ladies,
Not much to report from moi. Been listing stuff for sale on ebay like a woman possessed! I have 70 items for sale at the moment. I dropped a couple more items off at the post office today and felt so much lighter. If I sell a few more items from my 'ebay' cupboard then the whole top shelf will be empty - for the first time ever! :j
I feel so freaking bloated & tired and have done for days. I'm 100% sure it's all the Pepsi Max that I've been drinking. Thankfully I drank the final can today so NO MORE BUYING CAFFEINATED DRINKS (apart from tea) STARTING NOW.
Well done ziggles for being two weeks fudge-free!
Salt & Vinegar are probably my least fave crisp flavour, though I'll eat them at a push. I've never tried Tyrells, seems I'm missing out by the sounds of it? I've never tried peanut butter either...
Anglea - sadly don't do much arty stuff now, apart from making the odd card for special occasions. I thought it was a weird coincidence about the fairy thing too!
NG - about your spending diary, can you not just guesstimate your spends for the week that you missed? At least you'll have a rough idea of what you've spent, even if it's not 100% accurate. Don't feel too bad, there's always March to start a-new.
I have so many returns to do tooBut I'm the same as NG, I tend to order loads of items to get free postage. I'm waiting on refunds from ASOS, Topshop, New Look and Debenhams!

Hi all
Just read the last 2 posts but can't reply as have to do something. Have a good night. ps I've 'finally' understood about the excess ordering for the postage.0 -
Morning girlies
Well... exactly to the above, this is only my first month doing it. and as Deman said I have been very hard on myself with the amounts set to do it, compaired to what I was doing previous months so I was bound to struggle/fail this month but hopefully next month fail a little less, then maybe even go into a positive in a couple of months, got to work on it.
I have mentioned before, that I struggle to buy something which costs a fair amount of money, in my mindset its too expensive but then ill go spend the same amount on carp? Well, I finally came against that last night. I have fancied a Nintendo DS for a couple of months now and almost brought one several times would have worked out £170 almost for DS and game I wanted. Well, tesco have got 20% off stuff like that at the moment so I treated myself to one - plus mario£120 - rarely spend that much in one transaction, and shall try and claw some of it back into my 'savings' over the next few weeks. But I thought I work hard, it'll be an extra month till I pass my driving test now as failed theory so why not spoil myself to something worthwhile and to show for my money rather than cloth

Hi girls
CL I don't know how you have the patience to do all that listing - well done!
If you stop the fizzies hopefully you'll be able to tell if the bloating was down to them or not. Strange you don't like salt and vinegar I would have thought that you'd like them.
Never had peanut butter? I can understand that because I never had it in my household growing up and when I went to live with a friend and her mum they had it and I couldn't believe how I felt when I came across it. Like I struck gold LOL It was the strangest feeling over food I'd ever had!
I used to make a lot of cards but rarely do now because I hate spending a lot of time on a card (usually cross stitched) then accidentally stick it the wrong way into the card
Ziggles, Well done on being fudge free and that meal sounds very nice. Dare I ask how many Minstrels you've eaten?
NGlady - I know just what you mean about not spending on the right things so I can imagine how hard it must have been for you to finally buy something for yourself that's more expensive than normal. Hope you have a lot of fun playing on it.0 -
Hi ladies,
I must confess I had one energy drink today - the alternative was to go to bed at 4pm. It seems I'm unable to stay awake past the afternoon without caffeine. I also bought some boiled sweets.
NG: I hope you enjoy your DSI won one a while ago but ended up selling it as I never used it much. I know it's daunting spending a lot on one item, but if you enjoy it and can afford it then why not. I bought a treadmill 6-wks ago (well me and my bro paid half each) and it's the best money I've spent tbh. Much better than any clothing purchases I've made.
I'm gonna watch Marchlands on catchup and then get myself off to bed - see if an early night helps! I don't know why I feel so tired as it's not as though I do much in the day:o Maybe that's the problem.

Just a quick good morning ladies
I don't really have much to add at the minute!!
I am thinking of buying the fat club DVD when it comes out - I figure, those exercises are going to be for real women with real bumps some of them other exercise dvds are for acrobats
Enjoy your weekends - Im off to meet a mate tomorrow for lunch; have said I can't do the shopping after, so hopefully i'll come away without too much fire on my debit card!!0 -
Hi all
NG - I'll believe it when I see it (no shopping........yeah right!)
CL, tut tut, you could have gone for a walk instead.
I decided to go jogging yesterday but didn't reckon on just how cold it was and faced with an icy wind, so just walked to Tesco (1 mile) instead - a shop I go into about once a year as I don't like it, was really pleased that I avoided all naughties especially when I saw their own brand of Doritos for only 25p for a massive bag!! Only bought sensible food.
However, by the time I walked back to the normal shops, I was in that 'desperate' mode of thinking and in the charity shop decided to give in and buy a book- luckily I didn't find one.
Instead I bought the exact jacket/zipped top I had been after for ages and tried it on over the top of my jogging top - it was tight. So I thought it would be ok on it's own. No, it's still tight and I can't do it up. But I might keep it because it's exactly the colour I wanted and can wear it not done up (or could slim into it because it's only the tummy part that is tight). Yes another misfit, but...............
Also called in on my parents on the way home and Dad was trying to get a sofa into his car - it was too big - it had broken. But the seat cushions were in very good condition, so I took them out of the car and decided to have them - to see if I can mend my own sofa with them because my cushions have gone flat and I've been stuffing them up with old towels - that doesn't seem to work for long without flatteing again.
I was just thinking that I prefer the creative approach to getting things than just going to a shop and buying another sofa. I like the idea of chance opportunities I wouldn't normally be expecting.
I think that's why charity shops have such appeal - you can find unusual items that you couldn't normally get in a local shop.0 -
How did you get on today?
I was in the shops looking for books but didn't find any I liked.....I know, that's breaking the rules. I'm getting to that desperate stage. I was feeling like that in the library too, must have been in there an hour before I found anything suitable.
Tried on a few coats - none looked right and thankfully didn't buy misfits. Because I'd spent longer than anticipated out, when I got to my parents, dad had put the car away so I couldn't get driven home with the sofa cushions - I was looking forward to trying them out at the weekend.
I also completely forgot the main thing I went out for today - to post an important form0
