    Hi all

Expecting a big spend up on Saturday then?

I went out but didn't spend anything because it lashed down with rain, so after having to take shelter under trees on two occasions, decided to go back home.

Im not planning on a big spend Angela tbh - would like to get a couple of items for work from the next sale, as theyve got some lovely wok dresses in. Other than that and my mums birthday pressies wont be much more. Going to take some fruit with me too to snack on :)

Oooo Angela, we have a cake lady come into work :o she does the most amazing cakes, and yes I brought some today.

    Todays expenditure:

£3.60 :O on cakes - 3 though one for each me mum dad
£0.30 on dinner - work owed me a £1 cos it swollowd a £ of mine last week :)

total £3.90 - need to buy my next 10 ride ticket tomorrow though so it'll be a little more expensive £17 tomorrow but its budgeted for :)

Im annoyed with me cos im kinda eating into my liverpool money cos its change on my windowsill and going to the cash point seems a lot of hardwork so I just dip into the change for work etc, need to genuinely start making an effort of putting the money back into my liverpool fund otherwise ill be regretting it on the 28th shall work out from my dinner money fund what i've used and from my current accounts and transfer over :) daft not to really.

So did we miss out on the Christening stories?

How strange, you might bump into DS one day, he lives there :) Now that would be funny if he turned out to be your Mr Liverpool one day LOL

Angela - If he turned into my Mr Liverpool I could be your DHIL! Don't think youd be a bad Mum in law! And you could be extra spyish over me ;)

There wasn't really any christening stories it was a BEAUTIFUL day though one which whilst will start to majorly fade into small memories will stick with me :)

Can I join this thread? I don't think I am a major shopaholic, but I do find it hard not to purchase things- I have got into a mindset of 'I work hard, I deserve a treat'- and buy things I don't need!

I think toiletries are a weakness for me too. I love Lush stuff....and benefit and mac make up. Infact, any makeup.... My aim is going to be to not buy any more unless I really need it. I won't need to buy any lipsticks for a while, nor eyeshadows- will probably need to buy a mascara, foundation, eyeliner and maybe a blusher though. I don't need perfume. 3 bottles already open and a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle that I treated myself to which is just sat there. Oh, and a bottle of Contradiction that I bought... Body lotion- got plenty. shower stuff- got plenty. Shampoo and conditioner- got plenty. Soap- got plenty. Will probably need razors or blades in the near future though.

Clothes- have quite a lot, but certainly not as much as some. My main problem is I buy them, wear them for a party or get together, have apicture taken, look shocking in the picture and then never wear said item again. Realistically, I need a new pair of summer shoes. Will need a new pair of boots in the winter and a new coat (will get in sales). Could probably do with one new cardi and one new pair of jeans in the winter, plus one pair of black trousers. 2 new bras. 5 new pair of pants and 5 new pairs of socks. A jacket for running, a top for running and another pair of running trousers.

Food-I am getting better at spending less on food, and am currently on a 'run the cupboard down' before holiday. I think my weakness is on fizzy drinks and crisps, which are also so unhealthy....

Books-I used to buy or swap books all the time-probably about 3 a day at one point. Obviously I don't read that fast and now own over 300 books that I haven't read! I still get tempted, but now use the library much more and I have bought less than 15 books so far in 2010 :) My goal is that by the end of the year my books will fit on my shelves.

Presents/cards- I spread the cost of these and it never seems like I spend that much, but it obviously all adds up! So this year I have tried to win as many presents as possible. I am aiming for a Christmas spend of less than £50 total for presents. Have been doing surveys to earn vouchers too.
