Lol NGlady. I think there have been 3 men so far.
CL, perhaps you ought to keep up with the stairs 'cos if your legs hurt you won't be able to go shopping that often
. My knees are always hurting because I stand up to use the computer - excessively at times.
So what are you returning?0 -
LOL Anglea... if I fall down the stairs I'll be on crutches for 6-weeks, that would certainly stop me from shopping. Actually my legs don't hurt at all this morning so I guess it couldn't have been that bad on my legs.
No idea what I will be returning as half of it hasn't arrived yet. Yes, I went mad with my debit card  I've also got some boots to return, so will wait for the stuff to arrive and then do a mass return some time next week.
I just re-read my post from last night and realise how dodgy it sounded! By bedroom accessories I'm sure you all knew I was talking about accessories for my room, not the naughty kind
Well I've been up early, and guess what I did? That task I have been putting off for about 18 months
I think I mentioned it a few pages back.
So, what are we all doing today? I'm planning a clean-athon.0 -
CL -re your bedroom, my immediate thought was cushions, so I'm very innocent compared to you LOL
Glad your legs are ok today. I went to bed last night on death's door, very bad headache which I know was caused by that excercising which I did straight after arriving home from a long walk and I was feeling ultra hot before I embarked on it.
Luckily I felt ok this morning and did the excercise before breakfast firstly drinking a couple of glasses of water.
Today's plans - walk up the shops later look for DS's birthday present and call in at mum's. DS has de-cluttered the garage (wonderful) and there are bags of stuff in front of the front door, so I want to go through it to see if anything is for recycling. And in the evening, the dreaded excercise again. I'm determined to get into those misfits by the end of the month.
Good luck with the cleaning - is it just your bedroom? Wardrobe also?
Earlier in the week my Clarks shoe shop had a notice - everything half price. I didn't go in because it was inconvenient at the time. I called in yesterday and virtually everything was gone - nothing left suitable (I needed a decent pair of sandals).0 -
Me & my mucky mind, haha.
You sound dedicated to your exercise routine, Anglea. You will feel brilliant when those clothes fit. i'm going to try again tonight... see if I can just do one repetition of it.
I'm surprised that your branch of Clarks sold their sale stock so quickly - ours is always very quiet. My mum swears by Clarks for sandals.
So far with the cleaning, I have cleaned the kitchen worktops, cooker hobs (they were so greasy) and dusted half of my room. I'll finished the other half tonight and then hoover. Also took two bags of stuff to the charity recycling bins this evening so my bedroom floor is looking considerably more tidy.0 -
Hi all
CL, well done on your cleaning - all that activity in this heat, it's like a good workout.
I did my 2nd session before I went out in the afternoon but found the pressups very difficult as my shoulders were really hurting, so didn't do the full quota of those. I was very active today and only just finished everything I planned in the house just now, at 10 pm!
Shops - That £1 designer charity shop wasn't good today, I was about to go to the skirt rail when the man waiting for the counter moved out of the way so I could go behind to access the clothes - only there was a very nasty aroma left in his place  :rotfl: Not very nice.
Mind you, it's one way to stop shopping!
NGlady - Mr Manchester or Nottingham or Mr Local?
Also wondering if Souk is seeing FWB?0 -
^Seems like it's just you and me on here most of the time, doesn't it. The others need to come out of hiding and *cough* slip up a bit *cough* so that my crazy bouts of spending don't feel so bad

Yeah you're right about chores feeling like exercise... I hoovered for 10 minutes and I was sweating like crazy when I finished. Did I mention I don't like this sort of heat?
I shouldn't laugh about smelly charity shop man, but I am
:rotfl:I suppose that's one way to clear the shop so that you have the whole place to yourself!
Well, I've finally taken the plunge and booked some driving lessons. I'm absolutely terrified to be honest. 1) because I'm going to have to control a massive lump of metal, and 2) because he is a man and I'll have to talk to him. How stupid is that??0 -
Mucky minds - tut tut
Glad im not mucky *Angel*
Evening ladies - well I am feeling much better. Going to give myself up until Wednesday to fully recover, then pedometer shall be worn and 10,000 steps per day must be done
I figure, its 17 weeks until I go on holiday, if I go on a walk wed-sun (work too long hours on mon-tues) and generally be careful what I eat I could be a lot better for my Holiday, best do it now before its like a month to go and im trying to crash diet hey?!
Plus also saw a maxi dress I love, but doesn't fit and biggest they've got is a size 16 - and I want it
So anyway, went to Sheffield today
Met up with a friend, he is out of work at the moment so I kind of subbed him for Dinner and brought him a drink
I had a few people do that for me when I was out of work so it's my turn to repay the favour. So my Food and drink expences we're double what they should be. BUT, I had a lovely afternoon of lovely company with a funny fella
Not a date though Angela (lol)
My shopping is quite good recently - but I did have a little splurge today. Really need to watch my pennies though as my magazine buying is creepin up again. I want to REALLY spoil my mum for her Birthday next saturday, taking her to Manchester, I want to buy her a cardigan for a wedding shes going to but im going to insist on treating her to a few other things, she does really deserve it
Also, because i've been off work a couple of days i've had more time to shop - so see below for a detailed analysis of my spending over the past few days. If you remember a few months ago this is what I would have described as quite a mild couple of days
Wednesday:
Prescription £7.50 - Was in emence pain, so absoloutly ESSENTIAL!
PJ's La Senza £10 - should have been £40 for two pairs, so bargain. One for my Holiday one for now. Was cheering myself up therepy
Thursday:
Eye brow waxing £7 - can't do these myself so I would describe them as ESSENTIAL!
Friday:
Felt a little better on Friday, so went into my local town.
brought:
Low cal Apple drink £0.99 - boots - was horrible
but unlike in the past I kept with it and had it for what it was for, to wet my lips and take my pills, didn't replace
Couple of white vest tops and some underwear from Primark £5 Essentials its hot weather the vests are a £ each and I do live in them.
Black maxi dress from Warehouse £25 This looked nice in the shop - doesn't really suit me
debating whether to keep it as it'll probably look good when im slimmer for my Holiday - but shall probably return it. Which will pay for some of my mums (L) presents next weekend.
Bus £3.50 Can't really walk the distance from my house to the town as its about 6 miles each way
Today:
Train fare £5.50 I am REALLY getting my value for Money out of my rail card. I have had some lovely Saturdays out because of it. Shall deffinatly rebuy next year
Dinner £10 Expensive but for two of us
Drinks £4 We was sooo hot!
Work trousers £10 river Island I live in my RI work trousers, and was considering buying some today at full price - looked on the sale rale and got some cheap
Also brought a pair of white trousers but they look awful - being returned.
Hair clips and vasaline £2.50 I forgot my makeup bag today inc my vasaline and my lips we're buckling under the sun, so brought this when already had but will put in my cupboard ready for when I don't have. Also needed Hair clips as they blend in my hair colour well, and i tend to loose them. Maybe when we move house again, I will find lots of hair clips and never need to rebuy!
Treat for nephew £2 Just because he is amazing.
Total is a jaw dropping £93.99 - but when Warehouse return is done £68.99
On order note - Have saved up £100 for a shopping trip I am planning end of the month. Want to get all my Holiday clothes brought out the way, also want to get a few more work items, possibly a few more day to day tops and a couple of sun dresses. It would probably be more MSE to buy in the sales end of the Summer, but going by whats in the sale at the moment, unlikely to be in my size. And I kind of would prefer to pay a few pounds extra and have the Luxury of trying different sizes on etc
I am going on Payday but I would really love to be able to use this months money rather than next months
so I am aiming to save £250 from stuff like taking sarnies, saving a few quid out of my weekly allowances etc
So thats everybody filled in in my world

HI CL,
I know NGlady is reading because she posted a few days ago about the new men on the thread LOL but no juicy details though
If you've got a provisional licence and someone willing to be your instructor, don't worry about what happens next - it's up to your driver to do all the worrying, he'll take over the controls if you have a panic attack!
As for the talking part - it might be a way for you to get over your fears as it's a situation where there has to be communication.
Your cleaning -I empathise with you - vacuuming and heat do not go well together.0 -
Cleaning - dont remind me, my room is DESPIRATELearning to be 'good with money'0
