I wish I had stopped out of choice but the only thing that stopped me was maxing and defaulting my credit. However now I am paying them back and spending within my means. I think the best thing is to avoid temptation ie stay away from shops fullstop, take up a hobby. I have no credit cards so the only way I can buy online is with paypal so to buy I have to of first sold.

I agree John - stay away from shops! It does help that I loath and detest shopping;) Of any sort - apart from bookshops!! And cut up all credit cards, if you have to shell out actual money it concentrates the mind wonderfully;)

    Hi BCJ and Marisco

I don't think that credit cards or debt is the problem for the majority on this thread - it's not for me, I've never had a credit card. My problem is buying too many books as well as misfit clothes = clutter. And yes, I do have lots of hobbies including keep fit.

I'm pretty sure if clothing was easier to buy that actually looks good and fits, I wouldn't have a wardrobe of clothes that I can't wear.

I've just tried the routine and woah it's harder than I expected. I did 2 mins jogging on the spot then could only manage 90 seconds of the stairs before my legs went to jelly!

    Hi all

CL, it can be a killer, so you'll need to start small :) perhaps only 60 seconds for each part - or even less. The worst part is when you have to start all over again as it needs to be done twice in one go without a stop. When I was doing it for the 2nd session this afternoon I felt like giving up so had to force myself to continue.

I'm going to have to master the stairs part of it first, before I try the whole routine. I find it shocking that I can run for 30 minutes yet can't climb the stairs for 60 seconds.

Forgot to mention, I have gone a bit awol with my spends these past couple of days. I can see some returns on the horizon.

Was it all clothing CL? (tut tut :))

Is it your knees hurting on the stairs or do you get puffed at the top?

A mix of things really :S clothes, shoes, cosmetics and bedroom accessories.
    I blame boredom.

With the stair climbing, it's my legs burning.
