Hi
CL all morning I've been meaning to listen to my last 3 cd's of a crime book before returning them to the library as due today. Still haven't even started on them. I really hope we both avoid the rain.
I wonder if you'll buy anything apart from your clinique? Do confess if you do LOL0 -
Just got in

I walked there and back so saved £2.40... I think I'd rather burn than pay £2.40 bus fare for 1-mile journey that I can walk in 10 minutes!!
Went to Debenhams - they didn't have my spf moisturiser, typical  I almost bought a different one that I haven't tried before, but instead did the sensible thing and asked for some samples. I'll try them out tomorrow and see if they're ok on my skin before I buy.
Then to the supermarket for groceries... and forgot the main thing I went for - bananas
I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on.
So Anglea, how did your trip go? Hope you didn't get rained on... thankfully the weather stayed nice here.0 -
Hi all
CL - no clothes shopping for you??
No rain luckily but I was heavily weighed down with shopping which hurt my hands walking home.
Fiinally after months of talking about it -
1. listed receipts since January for chemist, groceries, clothes etc
2. Surprised by results, some months 2 entries, others dozens
3. Most in June (groceries daily) - when DS2 came home
- ongoing for the summer I think
to do -
A. Take pen and notebook out to list meals out, pubs, shops without receipts
B. Go back through diary and see dates of outings - make a £5 entry each time- even though liable to be much more but can't remember what the exact amount.
C. Finally add up each month
D. Total months in main diary for utility bills, insurance etc
E- Incoming
How are the rest of you getting on?
Salesaddict - are you still reading?0 -
Nope, none! I didn't stick around long enough tbh, as I was carrying three cartons of milk along with other groceries.
Well done on getting your receipts sorted, it's great being able to see where your money is going. I have to admit that I'm not very good at being organised, but my spending is probably the only thing that I do like to keep records of.
Hmm I was so bored tonight so I tried to make some cookies, but they turned out tragically. I'm no good at this whole being domesticated thing, I'd make a rubbish wife! I did cook (I say cook but maybe prepare is a better word!) a lovely chicken curry though.0 -
Hi all
CL did you make any more biscuits?
I stayed in all day.0 -
I didn't have the right ingredients for the cookies (new recipe I found). I did make a batch of plain fairy cakes though, which were a lot more successful
I'm quite enjoying this cooking malarky, I think it could become a regular occurence..!
I haven't been out today either, I felt super tired this afternoon. I don't know why but I find that I feel tireder when I do very little... whereas yesterday I must have walked/ran around 10-miles and I could not get to sleep!0 -
Hi all
CL, I get like that too, the less I do in a day, the harder it is to do the smallest thing and often feel sluggish.
I felt very tired today even though I had a very good excuse (DS came home after hols at about 1 am and wanted a meal) then after we chatted, went to bed about 2am. Felt lethargic all day, I managed to accidentally fall asleep at about 7pm and felt very groggy by 8pm when I had visitors
Decorated cupcakes next for you I think CL.0 -
Where did my post go yesterday - argh at MSE!
I feel so poorly
Yesterday, I woke up feeling very sick, but I thought thought maybe i'm just extra hungry (do sometimes get like this when dieting!) so I had a little breckie and went to work. By the time 9:35 came I was shaking and as hot as a radaheater with the worse stomach cramps imaginable, so much so I had to go home from work. Was in that much pain when I got home I had to lie on the floor as its the first thing that I got to! Went to Doctors got told I have a gastric flu :O so sick and stomach cramps, they was so intense at times, also when I first got them I was having symptoms of a diabetic hypo but I think its been established that is what happens when I get scared and nervous. Yesterday I think I slept about 5 hours during the day and last night between 10pm and about 10am this morning :O so I slept loads!
£7.50 for a prescription though :OLearning to be 'good with money'0 -
NGlady - what a horrible thing to have - sending you lots of good wishes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
-
NG hope you're ok soon
Anglea, I bought an app for my iPhone called Moneybook so I can constantly list and monitor my spending.
Bought another dress yesterday: £7.50 at Primark. It's one I'd given up on getting...someone must have returned it; there was one there on the end of an unrelated rail, in my size so it would have been rude not to!!
Hello and all that to everyone else; got to read and run!!
