Blazer or Nine west shoes?
On the subject of returns, mum was telling me her friend keeps things for ages and and it could get covered in paint etc ( garden tools) then returns them and she wears clothes on holidays and takes them back! Can't believe the nerve!!0 -
Thanks both of you. I'm absolutely carping myself :S Some things I just don't understand... blah anyway!! Back to the important subject - shopping
:p
NG that's an impressive jacket collection. I have one jacket that's threadbare, one wool coat with sleeves that are too short and lots of boyfriend cardies
Also I think I know the cardie you got from Oasis as I wanted it as thought it'd match my red shoes!
So yeah, what to say... I spent £14.99 on something (actually I'm not sure if I've confessed to this already? lol, my memory is shoddy!
) but yeah... it wasn't a necessity but it is a necessity to me.
Anglea, I don't think I could actually wear something and then return it. I feel guilty enough returning things I haven't worn!0 -
CL - fingers crossed for you :j
Last you mentioned was a pair of jeans fit you already have no mention of the evil purchase LOL0 -
Angela, I must confess to something. Last year, my mum wore a jacket to a funeral which she considered her "sad suit" so she was never going to wear it again, she wore the jacket for about 2 hours - then dumped it on my bed, to "do whatever you want with" cos she knows im into my swishing... I took it back :O was only £20 from George @ Asda BUT I was going on a very last minute holiday so trying to find bits of money from everywhere to get some clothes to go with - so that brought me 2 george dresses and a vest haha
Also about 5 years ago a ex boyfriend brought me a lovely silk jacket oycter colour with beeds on it from Next. I thought it was the beas knees - and so much so... even though its a size 12 (tried it on, cant lift arms in it lol) I still won't dispose of the Jacket.
And I am refering to the PB jacket I may end up spluring on if I manage to have a good clea out of stuff

Hi all

NG yeah that's the cardie, it's lovely but I just didn't know if I'd wear it enough to justify buying it!
I'm going shopping tomorrow with The Mothership so might have a look at it again.
I reeeeeally hope I find something to buy though, as I'm actually desperate for tops now and some plain flat shoes :S Nothing fits me, even my shoes are loose.
Anglea - the evil purchase was a Big Brother subscription. I knoooow, everyone hates BB but I love it so it's worth it for me. A whoole summer of big brother for £15... works out at less than 15p a day.
Hmmm, it's quiet here today, I hope you're not all up to mischief

CL - we all have our things we shouldn't admit to, and the BB is yours lol. I remember a few years ago, I think it was carphone warehouse they was selling this little subscription thing for like 20 or something, the day after it finished it went to £4.99 - i wonder if anyone actually brought it @ that price lol.
As i've said before, i'm quite in awe with how little you've spent. You have such good self control :O In comparison to how you was when this thread was started :O So I think you deserve a treat tomorrow. Some lovely sales on at the moment
Good luck with the Mothership tomorrow - my work closes half day cos the world cup.. so im going shopping lol, Nah not really going to do some study
Maybe even have a bedroom tidy up and i'll try and put some stuff on Ebay in hope of buying my blazer
Dead proud of myself, in the past, I was so skint few days before payday... like unreal skint, not really being able to afford to eat at work style... this month I have best part of £400 left
Anything not spent is going into my savings, and I am starting with a £0 balance again
I am very proud of myself. Quite suprised though as i've paid my holiday and had a very good standard of living this month, shows not eating @ work every day really does help!
CL - I was debating whether I liked the grey better in the shop tbh.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Hi all
Quiet from me because I had a funeral on Monday and was out all day until late, busy yesterday and today.
Had a boost of confidence Monday because I got on the scales and found nothing had changed  however, when I was getting dressed into my outfit I discovered everything was 2 sizes smaller than I usually wear, I had no idea they were when I selected them to wear earlier in the week. And it answered the question why it all seemed a bit tight and I had to wear a blouse over the skirt. So felt quite chuffed by the discovery.
NG - I looked at your blazer and I wonder how many people will be thinking those are your initials on the pocket LOL Wow - you've done well with your money - hope it carries on like this and you'll be flush for your holiday.
CL - so you're into BB? This year is the first time ever I haven't got into it although I loved the celebrity one earlier this year. (Already forgotten who was on it)
I think it may be because BGtalent as well as Young Apprentice has just been on and I couldn't face being tied to the tv again. Plus I didn't like the look of the contestants on the opening night.. But it's early days so might start watching.
I wonder what you've bought today on your shopping trip?0 -
Angela, that would be quite entertaining, People sat looking at me on the train trying to figure out my name

Went into Currys today, to look at Laptops, I had this bloke try to sell to me, in such a way using technical jargon even if I had a degree in IT I wouldn;t understand, I asked him to show me laptops he showed me DESK TOPS - so I asked what size bag I'd need for it
Quite funny really considering im actually wanting one of those 11inch screen things for my NVQ work
Seen a nice one in Sony at £250 - which I am going to give serious thought to, as it is just right in my eyes. The right amount of money, a good brand and small
I don't actually need much on it, just Microsoft word
Very sorry to hear about the funeral. Hope your ok. But YAY about the clothes
Yep CL - what you brought today?
I got half day today @ work cos worldcup and went shopping lol, very proud only spent a tenner on a top I actually wanted for ages but couldnt get in my size, and it is a wear with Jeans top which i dont have enough of

Hi all
NGlady - that was funny at the shop - didn't he see your eyes glazing over with his sales pitch?
I have to laugh about you buying that top. Why? Well anyone that reads our thread about shopaholics will probably question what you mean by 'not having enough'?

I tend to buy things, always the same, plenty of dresses etc. But come the day, im just going to the Cinema, or a wonder round town, then I have trouble, I dont have more than a handful of tops to wear with jeans, so sort of getting that part of my wardrobe sorted now
