    Morning ladies :)

Oh its a beautiful day... the sun is shining.... I have just tried a top on thats a size 18 (What I kind of am at the moment) that I brought two weeks ago and fit perfectly.... its now huge :D ... Yay that i've still got the receipt... Nay I can't return today - but can next week... £30 back in the pot....

Also... found a receipt for soething I brought the other week that I didn't try on and was the wrong shape for me.... So thats £28 towards something lovely for tonight, thinking of spoiling myself to something I wouldn't spend so much money on normally... River island here I come :) ....

I am seeing My lovely new (Potential hope I get asked tonight :) ) boyfriend later :) Money in my pocket to spoil myself to something pretty for tonight :) ...

Beautiful neice downstairs at the moment :) Grinning because shes feeling better in time for her Christening :)

My lovely best friend made me laugh on the phone last night :)

My new (Potential) bf hates the football :)

Decided on a clutch bag last night that goes with the shoes and therefore don't need to buy another one... My other neice said how beautiful my dress was (Only 4 bless her :) )

My birthday next week.... beautiful dress from my parents :)... Downside having to go to work on the day until late... but upside I like majority of the people I work with...

Just a few random things to why im happy :)

Now your turns ... think of all the little things that has happend in the last few days.... and write a "It's a beautiful day because"....

  • I am doing really well recently, almost too well as I don't want to spend anything on clothes at the moment! I see something and then, thanks to this thread, I think how much do I really like it, how often would I wear it and think about how much it costs etc. and then I lose the urce to buy the item.

That's not really a good thing though as I like clothes and there are some things I'm in need of buying, but at the moment I feel resentful paying £25 or so on a top, but really if you think M&S or Next clothes it's a normal price and it's not as if I'd buy a top for £ 60.

I want to lose a stone though so that might be the reason why I don't want to spend money on clothes as hopefully I won't wear them long enough and than it's better to wait a few months ( no need for summer gear anyway!) and treat myself than!

    Hi Materialgirl :)

Yep that is the way :) Have you thought about, as a dieting target getting a money tin one of those u have to open with a tin opener, everytime you put something back, say a chockie bar, or drive past the maccied's you put the money into this tin, and then when you have lost your stone, empty your purse.. put that to one side... put the "tin money" in there and hey presto free money for a free shopping trip?

    hi all

only a quick post to say I can't comment on your replies because a bad family situation happened last week so I'm not my usual self at the moment. I bought some clothes (usual misfits) plus a load of mags and a book to keep my mind off things.

Hi all, it's been too quiet on here :)

I feel better today so thought I'd post - not that I've got much to say, been looking at clothes and shoes but can't find anything so will have a trying on session from my own clothes in the next few days when DS2 goes out as he has the full length mirror in his room. I need a black outfit.

'Had' to buy myself a book today, got one yesterday too and I'm sure I've had it before, looked very familiar.

How are the rest of you doing?

Good to hear an update from you, Anglea. I hope you manage to pick out something you feel comfortable in.

I have been wearing those new jeans I mentioned, but this evening I was gardening (stuuuupid of me, I know) and got oil on them :( I put them straight in the wash so I'm praying it comes out, but I'm not hopeful.
  • I'm new to this forum, but have been reading for what seems like weeks now to catch up.

Just wanted to say Completely Lost, if it's not too late before you wash your new jeans, rub a generous amount of Fairy Liquid - or any other washing up detergent - into the greasy oily stain, and it should come out. It might need a couple of washes/Fairy Liquidings, but it really works!

ETA, noticed you've already washed them, but try the FL next time. It's removed all kinds of mystery stains from my DH's working in the garden/tinkering with the car/camping clothes

    Hi all

Mammal, welcome to the group and thanks for that really good tip about the detergent - I'll have to write that in my notebook.

CL - OMG I discovered skirts I didn't know I had in the wardrobe for my trying on session although I haven't looked in the big mirror only a small one.

What was difficult is getting the clothes out because it's so squashed and I've also got clothes hanging on the closet door on a rack. De-clutter nightmare!

Clothes wise, I've got a 3/4 black skirt M&S brand new which looks nice as long as the tum is covered up with something because it has been cut in a certain way which is ok if you have a flat stomach but doesn't look that good if you don't.

I am still horrifed that my waist is getting smaller but my hips seem bigger

I did consider the excercises as suggested by CL could be giving me muscles and I haven't found out which ones could be the culprit. However, I've stopped doing yoga as my knees were really hurting and just doing standing up excs and sit ups and back excercises.

Hope the rest of you are having a good day and not going mad at the shops!
