    Evening,

Just thought I'd bump up the thread to the front page as I'm nosy and want to know how you all did this weekend :)

NG did you enjoy your trip to Manchester?

I didn't go out today... have been revising today but if feels like too little too late. I really hope that I pass but genuinely have no idea how it will go :o

Cl - Good luck lovely :) I am sure you will be fine...

I have had a lovely day in Manchester today. Was lovely to spend some quality time with mum. I brought a purse from Pauls Boutique @ Selfridges for £30, the beauty behind this was I actually saved up for it, In my bank account, I have a "save the change" feature, and i've been saving my change, since pay day. So I brought it :) I am wanting the matching handbag now, considered blowing my bank balance today but it was £70 so I couldn't justify it straight out, going to save my change this month again, along with other bits and bobs and maybe end of the month, a trip to Manchester will be in order to buy the beautiful :) Also very proud that I saw some lovely nine west shoes in the sale, but only allowed myself one or the other :)

Also... returned £30 worth of things to Dorothys and £28 to Monsoon. I brought a lovely white boyfriend cardigan with love hearts on for £25 from Oasis. I brought a red vest top @ £5 from Dorothy perkins too - but - didn't give it too much thought, but realized tonight i could have brought 2 for £6 from Newlook, deciding whether im scruge enough to return the vest lol.

Was in Harvey Nichols today and there was a dress, it didn't look half special. I had to rub my eyes when I realized I was standing in front of a was 2k dress now "only" 895. Made me laugh, you know how in sales they have little signs saying "under £30" etc... well in Selfridges this was "under £100" lol

I need to write a budget later. . . it isn't easy though when your monthly pay changes month on month. So I think I am going to have X as my standard amount, and then anything over X goes into another pot. Need to have a serious think about it, as I could potentially be wasting a couple of hundred pounds a month by not being sensible.

From the 28th I am having a little challange. I am drawing £100 out of the bank, and I want to see how long I can possibly make it last me, this will include all expenditure including Dinner Money, but won't include "going to work" bus fares. I need a new laptop ahead of my NVQ so need to try and watch the pennies this month, I am only allowing myself a new Laptop when I have actually saved up for it, so any commisions etc at work, or any days not spent my £3 dinner money allowance etc etc etc, probs be able to buy it in January 2013 lol :)

Also going to start taking more notice of Amazon and bodyshop bargains for peoples xmas pressies :) Its July soon :D not long till Santa! This year.. its another challange, theoretically, I could afford to splurge but why when I can get "omg you really spoilt us this year" for the price of "Yeah.. really.. you shouldnt.. have... please.. dont... EVER.. again" ;)

    Hi all

CL - good luck for your exam

NGlady - When I first read your post I assumed that you wrote purse in the American way and you were actually talking about a handbag - until I read about the matching handbag you fancied. So.......... what on earth does a £30 purse look like?????????

    Hey all :)

Angela, when shopping with my mum, she liked the purse, but wouldn't sy £30 is a good price for the purse lol. And she wouldn't accept the radley I had from Santa (cos he IS REAL!!!) was battered lol.

    This is the handbag

The purse has got the same ruffled material all over it, with one zip at the top which is a gold zip and pink material. Inside the purse is pink :D also of course got the PB little charm bit :)

Thanks for the link. It's very nice.

Still can't imagine paying that much for a purse, even when I used to buy all expensive accessories (as opposed to the charity shop these days :))

I suppose it's all down to the individual, what items attract us. For me it's mainly books nowadays. Years ago my vice was clothes and probably would still be if I could get some to fit!

Lol Angela, I have actually been quite good with what i've brought this month. In the past, it'd have been loads of little 5 quid items, but i've brought a few things this month "properly" that actually have a reason behind them and will/have been used loads :D

I am also perving over a Pauls Boutique Blazer but im not going to allow myself to buy it, it isn't too OTT at £55 but I have quite a few jackets for summer :)

In the past, the colour pink was a major attraction for me :) I don't know what it is for me now :S I know its still fashion. I do have fads on brands though, such as my PB handbag I had brought, I knew it'd be the start of buying several items, then i'll stop and find something else :/ Why can't I collect penny bubbleys or something lol

I would love my clothes to fit better too - going to try and be a lot better with my eating/do a little more exercise :)

I love pinks as well but not every shade looks right on my like before. Also like orangey/terracotta.

I've found that jackets don't look right with the skirts I wear so only wear cardigans (have to be arkward LOL) - not good in the rain!

Dare I ask how many jackets you have?
