Hi everyone
Glad you had a good time LC - and that Mr LC remembered and got you some pressies.
Souk, did you go out in the end?
I spent the day with relatives so, NSD.
I'm feeling a bit grumpy today as my feet hurt after yesterday and I had to walk to my parents house then I was out the whole of the day but got lifts everywhere.
What did the rest of you do today?0 -
Hey girls,
Anglea - my feet really hurt too! I've been wandering around lots this weekend and they are killing. Good that you got a few lifts as welll to keep the pressure off.
Nglady - yes how was the next sale??
CL - how did your challenging day in town go? especially after doing something scary as well.
souk08 - like the tightness! It is good to get bargains
LC - freebies sound fab - I laughed at the thought of you in the shops rubbing your hands over all the free stuff for you! I would do exactly the same thing! In fact I do often when christmas shopping get a little something for myself... pretty much every time I go out though!!
Well not too bad for me this week in terms of having lots to spend money on - but actually thinking about my spends made me spend a lot less than usual.
The end of the week was all about the leaving do's - was feeling most sad as I really like the girl who has left, that's usually a danger time for me when I'm feeling sad and flat. However didn't drink loads at the leaving do so only spent £10.55 (the meal was already paid for though), the next day I was a little tired which made me want to buy things. I had to get lunch £3.10 then went for a drink after work to make myself feel a bit more cheery £4 and then bought some food for dinner on the way home £3.50 so a total of £10.60, fell into all the danger traps of getting treats for myself to make myself feel better.:( Although I didn't drink loads so a small pat on the back for that.
This weekend I was in London for a birthday party, set myself a budget of £35 for all spends for the weekend, so lunch, dinner, drinks and food for the bus etc - total spends £35!!I would have been £4 under budget but fancied a coffee and cake once I got back and thought that I would indulge as I had money left over. I guess I could have saved that money for clothes or something, will try and think of that in the future.
And please give me a pat on the back as I still haven't bought any clothes!! :j Did forget that I was doing this challenge as I went by a charity shop in a posh area that had some AMAZING stuff in the window (love charity shops where expensive people live!) however the shop was shut! so saved by the opening hours.
This week I get paid so want to pay off my credit card, make a budget for all my expenses this month including a small clothes budget as I have done so well (maybe £20?). And I can save my weekly spends if I have any left to spend on clothes if I want.0 -
supersmith - you've been really good with your budgeting and all your going out lately. Shame that nice charity shop wasn't open - I would have enjoyed hearing about it.
We've got a hospice charity shop where I live and it recently relocated into the large premises of an upmarket gift shop which had to shut down -and left all the posh fixtures and fittings. It's a world way from the the animal charity which looks like an old-fashioned jumble sale (however does have very expensive makes for £1).
Well done for avoiding buying any clothes0 -

I have spent absolutly nothing today and even gained £20 my sister owed me. this £20 is all i have between now and easter sunday  technically its not but its all i am allowing myself to spend.
Yesterday was not a good day for spending. Ethel Austin has went bankrupt and is closing down. I got the most comfiest sandals there last year for work wedge type things and i wore them to death and felt fab value for £12 I went in looking fr a PVC apron type thing for my litleond painting and was shocked to see the very shoes in the super clearents bit in black bonze and purple for £2.50 a pair I naturally had to have them and TBH I will use them and use them alot, I also picked up wedge style ankle boots and some canvas pumps for the kids playing about outside in the summer. £26 in all then at checkout OH wanted a bag of jelly sweets so £27 lighter. Hi all. Been sick since Friday afternoon and couldn't go out Friday night - isn't it funny how things work out! Was throwing up for about 12 hours and can't remember last time I was so ill so eating out was the last thing on my mind. On a positive note, I lost 3lbs weight so not all bad!! Apart from groceries, I'm staying well away from the shops. The weekend is a dangerous time for spending I find so it's better to keep temptation out of reach.0

Hello ladies, nice to read what you have been up to.
1 week with my oh ill with shingles.. ( he is sleeping downstairs) apart of that he is feeling not that bad and like always want to do stuff all the time, yesterday we went to Cheshire OAks.... I only bought £10 Nike trainers really comfy ones, £7 nike trainers for DD, and £10 2 bras from La senza... That was all. I went with my mind set on buying some sandals, but did not find "the ones" so i will have a look online...
Proud of myself too.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Hi to all
Me again lol with my spending review for this weekendI havnt had five minutes to myself all weekend, everytime I logged online or started to have a Read I was shouted to go do something - argh lol.
Well Saturday went OK. Now, initially I was very good and traveled on the method that took an hour rather than 20 minutes in order to save myself £4 which covered the cost of a burger king dinnerSo was quite pleased
Went to the next sale, brought loads of things for Amelia. Got to return them, as I managed to get all the wrong things, I dn have children so i presumed a child who is four in the summer needs size four years clothes but no 4-5 is required argh, and there long sleeve lol. There was lots of pretty things for me, a couple of dresses I lurved, ended up buying myself just one dress £12 it is a red tea dress and I am going to wear it this thurs for a date
Then there was one of those market stores which stocks chain store clothes - ended up buying 3 boyfriend cardigans for a tenner - which I got a floral one which I wanted anyway so was quite a bargain
Also from Next managed to get my dad some aftershave for £3 which is part of his birthday pressie in April
Brought two light fleecy covers from Primark £2 each got me and mum oneThey are lovely when sitting watching tele just to be a bit more snug - old lady!
and just some fruit for the bus homeSee healthy Laura, did fancy a bag of haribo more haha
yesterday I had a NSDEven though I did go into Tescos for a wonder round and saw a gorgeous pink dress for a tenner, some lovely gray trousers for a fiver and a lovely shirt for a fiver with a spend of £25 you can get £5 off, but I put them allll back
so total spend for this weekend = £37.78 - so could have been better but i guess it could have been worse!
Running a risk this afternoon, im going back to Tescos with my mother to take the chip fryer back, its been recalled :S
Also my diet has started todayLearning to be 'good with money'0 -
had the worst spending weekend in about 2 years I think. Totally lost control. Had such a stressful day on Friday and then met a friend for tea in the evening which started the spiral. Went shopping on Sat with her and my DD and ended up over £300 lighter (even though I can justify about half of it) plus the £320 for the washing machine I had to buy on Fri means angel a very dangerously skint and silly girl this month.
Will have to withdraw some savings to cover it but wont get it allSome other stuff is now packaged up and receipts ready to take back.
