Well, the two purse idea started after xmas for me. I had some money I had saved up to go to the Xmas sales with, so this was in a seperate purse to my everyday purse, so I had it set in my head that this was my clothes money basically. What I would love to ideally be doing, is everyday I spend less than my £10 a day budget, put the rest of the money into my "spending fund" that way if I want anything it has to come out of the correct purse before I can buy it

Angela, my male friend suggested go into Next or somewhere with a male concession also. When U see a fit man walk by, ask what he thinks of the outfit because you have a date at the weekend, engage him in chit chat, get him to take u for a coffee after the shop, then err the date didnt go to well afterall
As if ive have the confidence lol.Completelylost - if you're shy about meeting men - do you go to the library? Saturdays where I live seems to be full of them - you could drop a book next to the one you fancy?
Hehe...there's no way I'd have the confidence to do the outfit thing..! I've never been to our library at the weekend - I know ours used to be mostly full of pensioners reading the newspapers but I haven't been in ages (have been meaning to go to get the shopaholic books). See, I whinge and moan about being shy but never push myself into situations where I could meet people. Even friends would be goodI think the internet is probably the only way I'll make friends or meet someone..
=====================Today was ok-ish. Errr, I'll ignore the bad bits (:o:o:o) and just say that I got £74 from returning stuff, and I have sold some things on ebay tonight which need to be posted tomorrow. Also finally managed to get the dodgy desk problem sorted!!! I hope, anyway :S They said they're gonna collect it on Friday but I forgot to ask if they're giving me a refund or charging me to pick it up. Whoopssss.
I also have a huge spot on my cheek - rubbish!0 -
Just a quick one from me to say hi girls and i am reading but not having much time to reply

Then went to tesco and spent £6 on things for easter lunch tomorrow...i've got 9 lads under 4 coming:eek::eek::rotfl:i was hoping for an egg hunt in the garden but it's too windy and rainy at the moso it will be done indoors!
then i got the bus home £1.70. and came home with £37 in my purse!!! i didn't NEED anything else so didn't spend it!
Today is my sons coffee morning and easter singing so i'll spend about £3 on raffle tickets and coffee and hot x buns but that's it. I'm governor at the school so have to be seen lol:rotfl:

Hi Ladies,
I haven’t been around for a little while, probably because I haven’t done very well this week
So it started off not too badly…
Monday: Bought a skirt of eBay for £6.99 including packaging. Total £6.99
Tuesday: Had some friends round for a curry dinner so needed some ingredients and some wine. Total £12.38
Wednesday: No spend day!Total: £0.00
Thursday: Spent £3.78 on lunch and dinner from M&S, £2 on an eyebrow pencil from Boots, used a £5 off No. 7 Voucher and also bought hair dye with my pointsalso bought a dress from eBay for £5.49 including packaging although so far they’ve sent me the wrong one!! Total £11.27
Friday/Saturday: Now this is where it gets messy, Friday was Payday and this is my biggest downfall I always spend I fortune on Payday, I just can’t seem to help myself, so anyway I’m going to split this into essential and non-essential so it doesn’t seem so bad.
Essential
Post Office - £40 on postal orders (for reclaiming CC charges and removing a CCJ)
Hair cut - £40 including tip
Prescription - £14.40
Non Essential
Various from Tesco (snacks, cakes, alcohol and magazines) – £11.82
Face Moisturiser - £20.73 (an impulse buy but I really love it now)
Next 2x white work shirts - £26
Graze Box - £1.99 (will cancel this when I run out of offers)
Various from Primark - £50 approx
Pilates DVD - £3.99 (this should probably be listed under essential!!!) :rotfl:
Coat from eBay - £39.99
Total: £248.92 :eek::eek::eek::(:(:o:o:mad::mad:
Sunday: No spend day, but it doesn’t feel good after all that spending.
Total for week beginning 22/3/10 = £279.56
Now I’ve just worked all that out I feel a bit sick. :silenced: _pale_
I’m definitely going to take some of the clothes back, because once I’ve paid a £177 Gas bill and £186 towards my holiday I’m left with about £50 to last me the rest of the month
Fortunately I’ve been seriously hitting the Cashback and Survey sites, and sold £70 worth of stuff on eBay, plus £17 I got from one of those ‘sell you gold shops’
Right I’m going to crawl back under my rock now and feel sorry for myself.
I’m going to go back and read all your posts from the past week now. Thank you for reading if you’ve got this far.

I hadn't considered that any men might be reading this thread.
Velocity girl - good luck for your hols - I think you need it!0 -
Hey ladies, VERY hungover today as had some work girlies over for pizza and wine last night but it was fun and cheap with Dominos two for Tuesdays. Still havent bought any clothes apart from work ones this year as just met my friend and cleaned on Sunday so may look later. Getting a haircut today which I desperately need and is only £15 as I get a trainee. Takes HOURS but I have nothing else I need to do and normal city centre prices are ridiculous!
NGlady good luck on the next round. I do love Asda!
Velocity Girl you are doing really well.
