    Havn't managed a NSD :(
Total spends - £3.10 on bus fares
    Snack whilst waiting £2.60
    Magazine = £1.60
total spend therefore £2.70 into "clawing back fund"
Which to be honest I don't think i've done toooo badly :)

Found two bus tickets in my handbag that I havnt used the second trip on (there two trip tickets) so basically I could even though im going into town for an interview have a NSD tomorrow :D or at minimum a "MSD"

Won't be a NSD/MSD Fri though alas, got to go to Nottingham to return yet another dress from Debenhams thats coming away at the sceam. However shall limit myself to £10 expences plus a buffer of £10 just in case that day :) And maybe even leave my cards at home :S

VERY early night for me tonight feeling quite drained :(

Made a decision today though!!! I am going to College in September to study an access course in Nursing, to go to University in 2011 - I shall be 26 when I graduate but I don't think ill be oldest on my course. Hopefully tomorrow shall make a step in the right direction to securing a job in Asda :) so YAY

Hi all, so I went shopping after work, the idea was that the shoes I was wearing aren't the comfiest so wouldn't spend hours plodding round the shops. Didn't get the toiletries but will get them at the weekend, the necklace wasn't very nice, cheap looking but I did buy a dress from Oasis (£15). It's black and beige (looks brownish) and I can wear it with cropped leggings and gladiators in the summer or tights, boots and a leather jacket right now. Was tempted to go back for the blue one but didn't like the sleeves and it was £10 dearer. Oh well, must try harder!

Seriously broke and beginning to stress about money because I have to try and pay my overdue rent tomorrow and can't meet the full amount.

Oh no:(Can you ask the landlord for an extension? It should be ok if you pay most of it. Did you have to use the rent money to pay for something else?

But my fix is much more expensive if I feel down I phone a psychic line which can cost up to £30 plus for 20 mins. And then I feel so guilty. Last week after a whole week of moneysaving and cooking from scratch, I felt so knackered and fed up by Friday night that I ended up spending £53.50 on these Mystic bloody Megs. So in that hour I blew the whole weeks shopping budget plus our treats budget for this weekend. And my period had started, so I knew there was a real likelihood of doing it but at the point where I made the call, I didn't care. Can anyone else relate to this type of quick fix?

Hiya Bestrong, We all have our crutches that help us along our chosen path, mine being over spending and over eating and on occasion ;) (my thread will explain that in more detail). We all need to learn to ditch the crutches and walk alone. But is easier said than done. What I am trying at the moment, is to live in the moment. You cant do a thing about the past, so just forget about that/ Try not to focus too much on the future (yes some plans need to be made) but dont worry about it. Just concentrate on here and now (hark listen to me giving advice !!!) This is just what I am trying, in your own words, " to try and deal with my feelings, in a different way"

    Keep posting

    Thankyou :A

Flickering Ember, I have been there so many times I have lost count. . Each time I said never again but once the crisis was passed there i was doing the the same thing again !!!! What I have picked up from reading around this site is, rent, council tax, gas n elec first. That gives you a roof over your head, keeps you out of prison and your belongings in your house and keeps you warm and able to cook.

Are you very much short, is your landlord approachable.

    Thankyou :A

Hi all, lots of posts to catch up on.

Feeling really fed up that I'm so unorganised with everything. Was buying a necessary present and food shopping but hard to make a decision as I left everything to the last moment.. Tried on some clothes (which I need). One zip cardigan type top was a very different colour in the changing room than on the rack so didn't bother. The 3/4 jacket/coat (brand new French) in the charity shop looked terrible with my skirt. As I only wear skirts and in that style, couldn't get the jacket :(

If anyone is thinking of a self-help book - Feeding Your Demons' is a good one as it gives you loads of examples of different people and how denying their true needs resulted in all sorts of problems. However, be prepared to read some very bizarre things as the methods of dealing with the problems are Tibetan rites. So I skipped that part but found it useful as a way to learn how to find out more about myself and why I have addictions.

Nglady and morocha, me too! I have very painful feet if I wear silly shoes - which seems to include flat ones as well, so I end up carrying shoes around with me while wearing trainers to walk, which is a pain.

Nglady... nooo! Think carefully, you are only thinking about those shoes as you got an email putting temptation in your way!

flickering ember - talk to your landlord i'm sure if you can pay some of the rent then it will be much better than not being able to pay any.

Anglea - well done on resisting the jacket when it wouldn't work with what you already have.

I am pleased to report a NSD yesterday!! :rotfl: Feels like a triumph (and also slightly embarrasing as I realise that I usually buy things every single day). Went into town with my workmate to buy leaving presents and had a great time! We bought her some lovely things, I did see lots of things I wanted as well but put them back as I just thought how bad I'd feel once I got home. So success for shopping with other people's money! :j
