    Thanks Mrs R,

Might give that one a go then. My toiletry cupboard tends to be really mixed, I'll have a chanel eye makeup remover-pricey at £17 but not greasy like all the others I've tried-cheap and expensive ones. Superdrugs equivalent to Clarins beauty flash balm was recommended by someone at work, so might give that a go too.

    :)

I use the Superdrug one - and it's fab :j

  • Will definitely give it a go. Not sure about the Eve Lom cleanser, the smell was a bit odd, a bit like TCP and stuffing mix. Hmmmm

  • Morning all!

Day off today, off to Tesco to get some cheap shortbread 9p and their value chocolate bar 27p. Take said chocolate bar and melt, then take shortbread fingers and twizzle the end in the chocolate. Pop on a place in the fridge for about 20 minutes, et voila delicious cheap treats. Mmmmm.

  • Ok, so that cake baking went a bit wrong. Picture 1 half of a victoria sponge with a bisuity outer edge. I tried to glam it up a bit with some icing and a glace cherry. The end result is pretty hilarious though. Do I dare present that to my mother tomorrow? Hmmm. Anyway, off now for more cooking disasters. My menu this week includes lime fish goujons. Sounds very exotic doesn't it? This is completely made up of course, so I'm sure the end result will be more like fishy lumps with some breadcrumb looking bits on, with a sour twang that makes you pukker your mouth like a cat's behind. Well lets have a go then, at least if it does go wrong it will provide a few chuckles.

    I'll report back later.....

  • Well the fish dish was a bit bland. OH was as kind about it as he could be :)

5 days till payday. Still no sign of the two mystery droppings in my bank account from Paypal-in order to verify my account. So might just do it again to be sure. Auctions end on thursday so want everything to be up and running by then.

Temptations which I must not buy from Net a Porter

A beautiful pair of spangly miu miu platform shoes
    A studded Antik Batik bag
    Pretty yellow Louby Lou shoes

There will be plenty more pretty things once I have paid for the last lot, bought the house, and have saved up a tidy sum for them. I have accepted that I'm only human and I will always love my shoes. I'll just make sure I have cash to pay for them first, instead of the plastic-not so-fantastic.

Have decided that I'll put the cake out this morning. Mum will probably say that she is on a diet anyway. :)

Have a good day everyone. :)

  • Cake is a right off. Better go and make the shortbread. Got a houseful in half and hour.

More free eve lom samples through the door. Wahoo!
