  • Don't know whether I'm plain cream crackered or just chilled out. OH and I went out last night and we were going to eat out, but I changed my mind because I couldn't be bothered to sit in a crowded, noisy place to eat a sit down, formal dinner. We are going out for a meal today with friends, and I can't be bothered to get out of bed, even less so about what I'm going to wear. We haven't bought our tree yet, and I'm not all that bothered about having one and dressing it up. That's just not me.

All I want to do is get my traccy bottoms on, don a big pair of woolly socks, a big mug of tea, and curl up on the sofa and watch some Christmassy kids films.

    Anyone else feeling like that?

i think the weather has an effect. where we are it has been raining solidly for the last two days, and i have just wanted to hibernate as well.
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Just sent my faster payment to Virgin card, to give my signature total. Paid an extra 78p off,to bring it to the sub 5k mark. My hands were actually sweating as I did this, and I felt nervous. I think whilst there is still an awful lot on there, I had passed another milestone, and with every step closer I get, the more it seems real that I'm actually going to get out of this crap. This obviously has other more deep issues with it, in that I can put a whole 5 years of my life that I would wish to forget, behind me, and means that OH and I are well on our way to building our own future together. My life is changing for the the better.

It's good to be in control.

I get little boosts of happiness every time Barclaycard send me an email or some junkmail with offers if I just spend on my card. Not going to happen. I hold the reigns now. Kapow!!!

I'll probably be on here before the new year, but just to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and I'll hopefully see you all in my new shiny 2011 diary-New Year, New Me (the journey continues....)

  • Morning!!

Just sitting here contemplating whether to go and get the Boxing day food in. Not bothered about driving in the snow, but can I be bothered? I really want to get another thing crossed of my 'to do' list though, so i think I will.

Going to see dad today as he has not been very well, results of chest x-rays due in for him in january, although haven't seen them yet, mum won't say what they think was wrong with him. He is of course going to get the lecture today, about smoking, although I know he won't listen.

Few more pressies to wrap, washing to do, house to re-arrange, oh and get the christmas tree in, from the garden and dust snow off. Yes I do need to go shopping because I'll need some sort of warming beverage to help me get through this lot.

    See you later.

    xx

  • Have been totally spoiled this Christmas and it was nice. I have for the first time in a long time, managed to do Christmas to a budget, not use a credit card or go overdrawn, so well done to me!!

I've realised a lot over the last few days....

    1. How wonderfully privaledged OH and I are to live out in the country-albeit rented at the mo.
    2. How much I have grown and changed as a person over the last year
    3. That I have value, and a lot to offer the world
    4. I enjoy homemade stuff of all kinds, its more rewarding.
    5. That I love my creature comforts
    6. That I don't have to become what people say I am
    7. That those who try to hurt me, are hurting too, and don't know how to deal with it.

I'm looking forward to 2011. I'll finally become debt free, and I love being money savvy.

I'm an MSE convert and I love it!!!!!

  • Morning everyone

Well the last two days have involved all kinds of planning, and this continues into today. I have decided that in 2011 one way of quelling my fears and frustrations is to work through them. I have promised myself to write down a task list everyday and cross these off as I do them. I will use a book to do this and not scraps of paper that I keep in my handbag, as I did last year.

My intention is to keep myself busy and focused throughout the whole of next year, setting out and actually achieving things will improve my confidence and my overall enjoyment of life itself.

The framework that I'm using for this is a series of goals, I've created a table in a word document, which acts as a mini appraisal come motivator. Afterall I have to do this for work, which is not something for me, so why wouldn't I afford myself the same luxury?

So the focus for 2011 is quite selfishly me. For me to continue to develop personally and to indulge in those crafty and learning things that I really enjoy.

One major discovery that I made the other day whilst out driving, is the joy of appreciating the landscape and wildlife. I can see these things for free and they truly are beautiful. I saw a lovely open field, all covered in snow, the sun was starting to rise, and on the edge of the field sat a hare. It was the perfect Christmas card picture. This got me thinking....if I enjoy these sights so much, why not capture these in photographs and use these in turn to create Christmas cards and gift tags to use for Christmas 2011?

I will take some amateur shots and do my research throughout the year, and then as my debt free treat to myself next December, will buy a second hand camera. To this end I have taken a picture I took last year of the lovely snow covered tree at the end of our road, and created a card on one of those printing websites. Done! It was as easy as that.

Anyhow, speak later, off to go plan some more...

0845 number. So I did this, the guy on the phone seemed a bit vague as to what was going on, mentioned that the item was out of stock currently

I dont know what phone you have but on the iphone there is an app that you can type in the 08.... number and it will give you the 01/02 alternative - 08 Wizard. It has saved me loads of money already for HMRC and Credit Card companies!

    Love your posts BTW!
