Windows-check. Was a rather messy job as all the paint was coming off in large chunks as i tried to clean them. Grrr. Half ars8d job by landlord, in that the windows on the outside were filled in and painted however the inside wasn't touched. If you thought the windows hadn't been touched for about 15 years on the outside, did it no occur to you that some of the rot may have gone through to the inside?
I have done the best I can with them, but I still think I will need to go round every couple of months and do mildew check. I feel so dirty with windows in this state, but I'm limited as to how much I can clean them, with flaking paint work all over. Anywho it's a rented property so I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my time and money sanding them down and painting from the inside. It does bug me though because if it was our house, then we would have had them stripped down to the wood, outside and in, and completely repainted.
Anyhow I digress. Next job is to list all the christmas ingredients and bits and set out my budget. Was getting a tad depressed going round the house, as for every skirting board that I washed down and dried off, I then spotted that all the lightswitches needed a good clean and the doors and on and on. But that joy I'm saving for another week.
See you later.

Wanna pay me a visit and clean my place???
Knittings easy once you've managed the casting on bit, theres some fab wool out there inclusing some stuff called pom pom that knits scarves like this which includes an almost idiot proof instructional video. Seriously though we teach five year olds to knit in school. Most of them can't manage the co-ordination required to wipe their bums yet they manage to knit.
Why not tackle the thing you really don't want to do first thing in the day that way it'll be over and donne with and you won't spend the rest of the day avoiding whatever it is which will allow you to avoid something completely different. Just before I go, just going to list things that need doing, so that I can remind myself
1 Car cleaning inside and out
2 windows cleaning from outside
3 plants chopping back an garden tidying
4 cupboards cleaning, outside and in
5 skirting boards, doors and light switches wiping down
6 dusting of weekly cobwebs (yes we get a lot of spiders, I clean at least 5 out every week in the winter)
7 bathroom cleaning again after cleaning it yesterday, and OH trashing it again
8 bedlinen cleaning and blankets dry cleaned
9 get final bit of wine stain out of rug (don't ever by cream carpets and rugs. EVER!!!)
10 Spot clean carpet
11 Hoover and mop down kitchen and bathroom floor
12 Dust upstairs
13 Washing
14 ironing
15 Make christmas cake
16 Make christmas pudding and leibkuchens, and maron glaces, and candied peel
17 Make christmas decorations
18 buy ribbons and paper for gifts
19 buy gifts
20 Make cakes for birthday
21 swat up for interview
22 clean the fire out and relay for this afternoon
23 turn pumpkins, beetroot and marrow into soups for week ahead
24 Go to the allotment and prepare for planting, harvest and freeze anything that has come good
FLOP!!
That does look like quite a hideous list of things to do? Better get in the festive spirit first, by putting on some mulled wine, that should help things along.

Whooa Moo. That looked like some crazy knitting going on there!!! It's the whole over and under bit I just can't seem to grasp. My mum has tried to show me countless times, but my brain just doesn't seem to get it. It will not beat me though. In fact I'm going to have another go now.

Wwwwwwwwaaaaaahhhhhhoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I did it!!!! I found the right you tube video and I can now knit, after 23 years on unsuccessful trying. The stitches are a bit scruffy looking, but I'm 5 rows in and there's no stopping me now. Also good for toning up the bingo wings it seems.
Can't stop. More rows to knit

So yesterday I decided that I was going to tackle my shyness and lack of confidence and I'm hopefully going to get some coaching to deal with this. This affects a lot of aspects of my work, and sometimes I would rather get into trouble for having done something wrong, than having to ask again and look stupid.
My shyness and fear of getting things wrong is so bad that I avoid situations, and at the moment going for the new job, I would rather run away and live the life of a hermit, rather than face the possibility that I might be carp at it, and have to deal with the consequences of that.
I obviously can't carry on like this, because it means that I stay in jobs where I'm under challenged because it's safe.

Poo.
Was so tied up with making sure I swatted up for the interview today, forgot to dig out my certificates and birth certificate out. Now got to turn the house upside down to find them. Great start.

Don't think I've got it, and don't want it if I have got it. You know when you walk in there and you just sense a bad atmosphere? It's like when you view a house, you know when it's right, and you know when it's not. It was not. Still, that's another one under my belt. Learning lessons all the time.

Storm in a tea cup dearie. To think you got that worked up for nothing.
At least you went and you've decided you don't want them even if they do want you.
