Don't rub your eayes when there might be vinegar on them!

It's been an NSD today and a busy day at work.

Feeling a bit knackered and generally rubbish though. My colleague's dad died and the person and the person I work with at the weekends was admitted to hospital today (I'd normally be working sleepover tonight). It's also the anniversary of Granddad's death and a miserbale, dreich day here so I think I need to curl up with the fire on and sleep. And I ate all the minstrels yesterday (yes, I did feel sick) so I don't even have any chocolate - and no inclination to go out into the wet, dark night.

Have a fun weekend. I'll be back when I'm feeling more upbeat and less knackered! x

5 more things listed on eBay today. It's a slow. slow process. Have photos of some other stuff to put up tomorrow before free listing runs out.

Tried to visit the guy I work with in hospital tonight but spent the entire visting hour looking for his ward! Had to phone the hospital later to check he was still there and where the actual ward was so I can find him next time. Did tell them to say to him I had been trying to visit him. Feel like a muppet!

Also went to visit my friend who spent the morning in A&E. She has a kidney infection. I knocked my NSD out as I took her cupcakes and juice. A more dedicated MSEr might have baked her a cake, but it doesn't go hand-in-hand with eBaying I find ;).

The car is running on empty too so tomorrow probably won't be a goer for my NSD traget. There's plenty more days left in the month, though Friday onwards will be pretty much out of the question for me as I'm heading to London :j:j.

Eyes are still 'icky. Have done more research and it can't be conjunctivitis ans it would have cleared up by now, even without antibiotic drops. Could be blepharitis, which is an immflamation of the eyelids. I wonder if it's the heating at this time of year, though I can't say it's ever been this bad before! I'm contemplating shelling out for some allergy testing because this is ridiculous and I can't go on like this as I will drive myself and every-one around me insane with my moaning. And I'll never get the chance to wear make-up again! Obviously can't wear any around my eyes, so there ain't much point anywhere else as I'd look lop-sided and daft. Might as well just look peely-wally and blotchy instead :p.

Any-one else watching Cheryl Cole on Piers Morgan tonight? Wish I looked that fabulous when I cry! (And the rest of the time!)

  • Hi Nic

Sorry 22nd was such a carppy day for you, belated hugs to you honey.

Hope your eyes are getting better, definately worth seeing your Dr again, conjunctivitis should have cleared by now..not that rubbing vinegar in them helped much I suppose!

Couldn't thank posts on the previous posts as the page was spread really wide but loved your yoga pics....not just me them? lol

Hope things are looking better for you this week, eyes, clutter, ebay listings, books and postage, paperwork, sewing with your real fabric....not much mention of study, hmmmm...procrastinating again I wonder?

How long are you down South?

No, there wasn't much mention of study!:whistle::whistle: I have collected some of the aricles I need to read... :o

Eyes are rubbish! Have decided, after reading more about it, it must be blepharitis, which is an inflammation of the eyelids, yuk! 'Cos your right, it wouldn't still be conjuctivitis! Also seriously considering getting allergy tests done, but doubt they'll do it on the NHS so really just wondering where you start with that kind of thing! How will I know if they are reputable and not feeding me bo**ocks (must resist temptation to make joke about that last phrase and allergies ;))...

I think I might get around to finishing my dress one day :p. Cut out the lining, fusible interfacing, faffed around trying to get the interfacing to stick before realising I'd done it all the wrong way round, had to adapt the already skew-whiff cutting to get it to work and have started basting the thing together... it might look like a real dress next week... then I'll likely have a zip debacle :D.

So gutted I didn't think of being down South for longer, train's booked for tomorrow and back on Sunday :(. That was a bit daft of me! Though have said to Maty Moo to have a wee think about any potential dates in the new year and I'll check out train tickets :D.

I should probably go pack too... got to go to work first thing, then dump the car and jump on the train... where's my MP3 charger...

Must remember train tickets, must remember train tickets, must remember train tickets...

Oh sh*t, must remember to transfer pay to bills account! Better do that right now!

Great to hear from you SB* :D Big hugs to you and every-one else too! I'll be there in spirit!

(And yes, do keep pestering. My course will not pass itself; already been there and tried that!)

    Night all x

    Boo!

Who has been stealing my time from me?

It's not funny, I want it back! At least all the way back to June if you please! It was sunny then I recall! :D

Friday I headed to London. Mmmmm. lovely curry! We got home ok, but our friend's were somewhat impeded! http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23893220-passengers-walk-through-tunnels-as-witchs-hat-traps-300-on-the-tube.do

Our problem was the mojitos once we got home! So Saturday was slightly shorter than anticipated! And Sunday saw me running for the train - which I caught be the skin of my teeth! Have you ever tried to walk through first class as though you were composed when you're not sure how it is you are managing to breath!!!

And I won't mention the abuse I got for blindly getting to my reserved seat (yes it was still free, by some miracle!). How dare I reserve a seat on a near 5 hour journey and make some other women stand all the way from London to Preston [when she didn't bother her a** reserving a seat ;)].

So Monday was tough - but luckily a study day in Edinburgh - and a intersting one too! After which I met my friend. I was brideswmaid for her almost a year ago. Again, I wonder who stole the time away!!! (and to those of you with immediate bridesmaid duties - have a blast! Remeber to flirt with the cousins ;):D)

Tuesday was silly hectic work then dressmaking class. My dress is now mostly together apart form the back. One half of the zip is in... but I still can't see how the lining will fit easily in to that! Or how it'll fit!

Freakily, my mate (yes, he's a bloke) did give me advice on that tongiht! Granted his girlfriend did textiles at uni (and he freaked me out by commenting on the pattern of the material on the dress I was wearing tonight - yes, really!). He's a doctor of physics and we were watching him play astounding bass guitar in an 18 piece big band night tonight; ain't there nothing that boy can't do!

I was up to something last night too until stupid o'clock, but my memory is saying enough is enough and that it wants an early night, so I can't actuallly remember what that was... oh yes, I was covering an extra shift at second job (that means sleepover. Shhh, don't tell day-time boss!).

Yes, yes, I can hear you... when have I been studying for that postgrad...:whistle: What postgrad?

(PS I'm way behind in my email sending too. I will get around to it and your always there, raising your eybrows each time I find something more interesting to do than studying ;) :rotfl:)

But right now, you'll note I'm at least three hours past curfew! Uh oh!

Take care and big hugs to you all :).

    Hey Tixy

The Minstrels have been found - they are waiting for me as soon as I've finished cleaning the flat!

I tried to steal your cute effalump for my avatar, but he's not moving; I'll need to ask Numpty if he can fix it for me.

And I need to learn to say "NO" so I'm not so crazy busy; it's my own fault! Though this weekend is a yoga weekend with mum, so, although everything feels hectic, I will be at a buddhist monastery, so there should be room for relaxing there! :p

(Just in case, if your image of me is like this:
