Hey Happy, lovely to see you!

I do have earplugs - but they always seem to fall out of my ears during the night! And they need to be foam. My ears don't like those bright orange ones! They set my ear on fire and I want to scratch them right off!

If any-one asks, I'm not really here right now... I'm hard at work at work! ... Calling car leasing and wondering when I'll get my new lease car! It's a tough life! ... Though actually, the longer the better as far as I'm concerned given the prive has skipped up a good £100 and will be coming out of my pay package!

I just popped in to say, crisis over!!!! My pay cheque for my second job was in front of the diary of my main job! Obviously! Where else would it be! :rotfl: Thank [insert word of choice here - I know what mine was!] for that!

So tomorrow, I need to get the car in for an MOT (again, thankfully it's leased so it won't cost me a penny), get my two cheques into the bank and get myself to work before the team meeting starts (it'll be the second one I've made it to this year! I hope I can make even less next year :rotfl::rotfl:) Snow boots at the ready...

It's a pain in the a**! Main roads not too bad but residential streets are a nightmare! And going anywhere in the evening is just not worth it due to dropping temperatures and roads of ice! Grrr!

But it's better than my hometown. It's just closed! No getting in or out! Some might say that's no bad thing!

I had to get the car to the garage for 8am this morning for it's MOT. And I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to scrape the car today!

Me no likely the cold!

It is currently snowing in this part of the world but nothing like you guys have.

I could have done with your sleeping bag thingy on Sunday when I had to have my heating drained to have new valved fitted. It was fuffin freezing :eek:

Anyway it is now so warm in this house, with all radiators functioning that I have now had to turn the heating down, very MSE

Relieved you got a blue suit, the guy in yellow looks like banana man! Never seen them before? Could do with something similar here, me no likey the cold either! Not had much snow as yet but I told you we were soft down south!

Glad you got to see your GP. How are the tablets going? Are you still getting headaches?

Hope your week off went well and that you managed to squeeze in some of the study, trying to cram everything into a working week is bound to cause you more stress.

Glad you found the cheque from second job, with so much on at once and so many things on your mind, I'm not surprised you forgot where you'd put it.

REALLY hope you get time to slow down soon.

Hola SB*. I hope I get to slow down soon too! It's definitely my new year resolution! The only training I will agree to do from no on is one that teaches me to say "No."

I'm cursing the fact I stay close enough to work that I'd be expected to walk in if I couldn't make it in the car - some snow days would help with the studying! And my boss has been in the office all week - I know it's because there's no way she can easily get to her office in this weather, but a teeny bit of me can't help wondering if she's spying on me! Making sure I'm not sneaking study into work! :cool:

Any-one else wondering why they never got snow days at school? I remember bad snow but never did the school or my folks think to say no, don't make that treacherous WALK down that icy hill to the school!

In fact, I seem to remember the most treacherous walk being the 6th year christmas dance, down that same hill from the deputy head boys party to the school. Lots of girls in heels, snow and ice. And perhaps a wee drink or two too! (But don't tell Mr Platt. The overwhelming smell of polos must have addled his brain and he couldn't tell if we were drunk or not!)

I got the last of my christmas shopping tonight. :j I also wanted to get me a wee pressie on account of the inland revenue cheque! And I saw some lovely dresses in some lovely shops but I just couldn't be bothered to buy them! :eek: I'm learning! :money:
I did get 2 pairs of gym tops and bottoms though, but I've been needing another set and I got them all for the price one set would normally cost. :T And I eventually got a cropped pair of bottoms, which I've been wanting since summer. Great weather for them, don't you think! :rotfl:

I also really want a large, proper grown up tan handbag... I have a kinda idea in my head but couldn't see anything close. But that's been in the back of my mind for years; one day I'll see it! In the meantime, I've had a word with Santa Claus and she is going to see what she can do as a temporary handbag measure.

I sent Merrywidow a wee message. She says she's been busy and got behind on a lot of things after being away so much during the summer, but that she is thinking of Mike's Mob and will pop in and say Hi.

Any-one signed up for Memorygirl's training? I'm tempted as it'll probably help with the course and the Glasgow one is February. But I keep putting off paying for it! (What if I see the handbag and it's the same price! :rotfl:)

By the way, it might just be a Scottish thing, being the police are fed up of stupid driver's in the snow, but we were issued a email saying police will be stopping people who have not cleared their cars (including the roofs) of copious amounts of snow, fining £6 and issuing 3 points to your license. Seen's most of you are way down South, it'll never affect you! But just in case there's any-one near me lurking around. (It's to stop the snow flying off the tops/bonnets of cars, blinding other drivers on the road, who then skid and chaos abounds). Having had an altercation with a roundabout and then another with a muppet driver flying out of a junction tonight (I don't know how I didn't skid right into him! Thank god I wasn't even doing 10 mph or I probably would have done!), I'm all for it at the moment.

Anyway, enough havering... off for some sleepy tea (My sleeping suit thingymebob isn't here yet But it's en route.)

Aw wow, the newsreader is wandering along the Forth Road Bridge... it's been closed due to the snow. That's never happened before. There'll be many grumpy commuters at that!!! (But it looks cool! All snowy and empty .)

I did see the AA on morning TV last week, when the snow first hit, saying that it was actually an offence to drive with snow left on the roof of cars due to hazzards when breaking, made me laugh at the time coz every car driving past in the background had a couple of inches on every roof!!!

Good for you on treating yourself, you definately deserve it and waited a long time for those cropped trousers!

Thanks for the update on MW. I was going to e-mail her to make sure she was okay but will look out for a post from her now. Couldn't help but worry for her knowing that she was suffering from painful gout & wondered how she'd been coping. Good to know all is well.
