Hey SB*, mwahhhh! Lovely to see you . I do believe we did talk about the "NO" word! I can type it, I can write it, I can scream it silently in my head, I can scream it at the x-factor and many other TV programmes, I can believe it is the very word about to come out of my mouth... then I hear something entirely different come out and I wonder which numbskull hit the wrong button in my head! :cool:

It is my new years resolution and I have 2 months to get into practise so I'm sh*t hot at it by then!

How professional am I? :rotfl: (Was especially nervous as was chairing a meeting where a very efficient Consultant Psychiatrist and Pharmacist were in attendance and I was recommending something I would never normally recommend except as a last resort. So obviously all I could concentrate on was the massive spot on my face that was just in my line of vision! :rotfl:)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thank you Maty, I am flattered! I suspect on Monday I will be unable to move after a full weekend of yoga! A bit more than the couple of classes a week I currently go to!

I will reply to your PM too. I read it on my phone and I don't know how to respond to it from my phone. It's probably simple, but I know you'll understand my simple technophobe mind .

And that's a rubbish excuse anyway as I'm on the laptop just now, not my phone!

However, I am heading to bed just as soon as I've updated my signature. I've dressmaking tomorrow so I'll hopefully pop back on Wednesday and say hello.

Hi nicca im tired just reading that but at least you are still bouncing around somewhere if you cant bring yourself to say no invent excuses such as meets with the mikes mob haha or prior arrangements i have encouraged my little neighbour to do this she is forever late from work because she keeps getting extra jobs shes single bla bla and people assume she can spare her time so i told her to clock off at 5 and pretend she has things on dont stay in the office and dont tempt fate people just assume otherwise im forever bambling on ... as sb now knows ... i had a lovely chat with her and it was so nice to hear the real person even if i was half toasted on rose wine lol ...

Me too honey; I'll be there with bells on! Well, ok, perhaps not! But I might have my own, handmade dress on! Tonight it began to look like a proper dress! Now I just need to hem it and and finish off the edges at the neck and sleeves .

Crikey, I have some amount of catching up to do on Mike's thread, don't I? Any word on a date yet? Folk keep asking me at work and I'm getting fed up of it (probably 'cos I don't really want them to be watching me on it - which is quite selfish! ).

It's way too much for me honey! I really need to work on that "No" word! Especially at work! Could feel my "supervisor" stress me out today and what did I do; I went all quiet and sulky and raised my eyes lots. Like that works! And I can see she's just defecting her stress onto me. She's delegating; I've no-one to delegate to. :mad:

I've jst found out a duck testicles are next to his aorta which makes it rather dangerous to remove them even if they are being overly amorous with their adopted chicken family! (Yes, yes, don't worry; I'm reaching for the remote control!)

I've finally put away all the filing that's being lying about the living room for weeks! Just a wee pile of life assurance and house contents insurance to look at 'cos they're all over the place since I changed them and I don't actually konw which company is which, so I should probably check that out!

We've no water in the kitchen at the moment and no hot water at all. The water people were out, something to do with water in a solum, whatever that is. Probably it will cost me money and the factors (Scottish thing; the people in charge of buildings maintenance and repairs for blocks of flats. Generally universally a pain in the !!!, expensive and unforgiving if you need/want to pay in installemts. Even though you don't necessarily get a lot of/any say in agreeing to a reapir or not and no control over quotes/who does it/costs).

They won't fix it 'cos it's not urgent - even though it was their bl**dy incompetence in cutting off the pipe - or whatever excuse it was they gave my flatmate.

Same as they won't get us a new wheelie bin because that's up to individual's (even though they're shared by 6 flats) and the bin men haven't taken the rubbish for the last three weeks, despite phonecallls (again) because the lids are open and so they don't have to. Honestly! The first week you'd have been looking pretty hard to notice they weren't fully closed. Now, obviously, they can't possibly close. I'm sure I've moaned about it before; it's getting to be a regular occurrence.

Last time I phoned I asked them to put a poister inj the close or post leaflts to every-one reminding them the bins won't be taken if the lids are open. I was told they don't do that because people know. :mad: Obviously not.

Seriously - is it like this the world overr or is that stupid UK bureaucracy thing!

Anyway rant over; just remembered I made a cup of tea some time back and it's probably cold now! Off to make another!

Vent away honey, it'll make you feel better. DS was given some stress balls that I could send you but they're boobies, he likes sqeezing them when he's angry but not sure it'll have the same effect for you! Will see if I can find some stress 'balls' balls! If it doesn't help sqeezing 'em, maybe you could just lob 'em at annoying supervisors, beaurocrats or binmen!

Not surprised things are stressing you out, life would be simpler for us all if other people did there job properly and give us time to do our own jobs! :mad:

You;ve been crazy busy lately honey but glad you're seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. It'll look a lot brighter if you practise that NO word at every opportunity. Keep practising, I'm expecting you to be 'sh*t hot' at it any day now!

Try to relax this evening and turn your puter off to ensure an early night. Sounds like today has been an off day, tomorrow WILL be better!

Feeling quite relaxed (knackered!) as I'm just back from my yoga weekend. Which was at a Tibetan monestary so you'd really have to be holding on to your stress to come back from such a place without feeling calmer thanwhen you arrived!
