Procrastination to a whole new level! I made a phone call to a person I have never met about an exciting project that I would love the opportunity to be a part of... 3 and a half hours later we thought it probably was time to come off the phone to each other! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm guessing we might work well together! The idea and ambition is big but it's acheivable in the long term... just to chunk it down into smaller, short term chunks, balance work and study and we're on to a winner!

As my debt-free diary has become sporadic and will almost be obsolete when the technicalities are sorted, I am thinking of starting a blog. I have been thinking of this for a while, but you know my preferred past-time is procrastination! Does any-one have one? Any tips? Or if you read them, what do you like/look for in a blog? I reckon I need to have a wee bit more structure to it than my rantings on here have been - but I'm not sure what I'll have to talk about (:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Having just come off a phone call that long, clearly plenty!!! But will people actually want to hear it!!!)

I follow lots of blogs :)

Pictures help to keep people interested, as does having a good subject matter that people are interested in. Google Frugal Queen for starters :)

Please dont take Frugal Queens lead. I used to love reading her but then she got all preachy and now really irritates me.
I read lots of blogs and they are all very varied. I have a blog but there is no structure or thought to it. I just witter on there. Maybe thats way I dont have many followers but I dont do it for that reason.
I guess you just need to find your voice. I would say just start writing. You will soon settle into a routine and find a subject area that attracts interest.Dont take it too seriously and you should be fine. I just found a fantastic blog called Spitalfields Life and, as I just started working round the corner from there I find it fascinating. Maybe you could write about Life in Glasgow, your trips out, yoga, budgeting and what its like to be a single girl in the city.

Thanks MrsMoo. As you know, I have been thinking about it for a while!!!! (Thinking, not procrastinating!!! Ahem. :p) I think you are right, until I start writing I won't find my voice.

And I guess I know that my voice will be slightly ramblimg depending on the myriad of things going on around me! I suspect I have freaked myself out by reading too many blogs with a theme... but then, I do sometimes get a wee bit bored (e.g. I love March & Angel hack life, but sometimes I do think, oh, tell me something bad you have done!!! Tell me about the time you got so angry you plotted your revenge, or the time you took the beaten track just because it was so much easier than the road less travelled... :rotfl:)

And I do remeber you telling me, MrsMoo, that I could keep my blog private until I had played around a bit. Is that right? And you know the other thing though, is I can't think of an awesome title! :rotfl:

    Thinking cap pulled on!

(Been on the phone to Dad today. Dates arranged for a weekend for another 2/3 doors to be hung and hopefully a new - very basic - working oven/hob/extractor fan to be purchased at a very reasonable price, without the need for a whole new kitchen! That can remain on the want list!)

Right, off to find blogs about blogging! :D

I decided reading about blogging was too tedious! So I am playing about on Wordpress. I have hidden my posts as I bumble around in the dark, but I don't know if that means I'm completely hidden. I'd like to be right now!

Who knew it was so difficult even just to choose a theme I like! :D Never mind trying to navigate the sytem and figure out photos (actually they were easy) and media and stuff... the writing looks like the least of my problems! Technology and I may have a few words!
