Scratch the hemorroid cream idea. I've been looking to see whether it's safe to use under your eyes and can't help but think if it was, they'd have repackaged it, whacked up the cost and sold it to the major make-up places.
Instead I'm away to make myself two cups of tea and then I'll use the tea bags! (Perhaps not right away!)
Ah but they have! Just look at all the wonderfully expensive creams you can buy!! That's exactly what they have done
I am super-tired today, finished work at 12.15, up now to pack, shower, get ready for work again at 11.30 then off I to oop North. Be lovely to see my friend and her girls though.
Try not to stress Nic, it ain't worth it

Today has kinda passed me by. C's I couldn't open my eyes, I figured I'd just stay in bed 5 minutes longer.... I only moved into the living room in time for xfactor!
I have drops for the eyes but they don't seem to be making much difference. Usually they work within a couple of days. The dust in the bedroom might have something to do with it!. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow anyhoo so I'll quiz her then. Poor women, it won't be long before she's been seeing me for a year! At least I can't moan about my national insurance payments. :rotfl:
I think I'll just take two or three things out of the wardrobe at a time and decide whether they're for ebay, charity shop or the bin... I'll get there sometime in the year 2020...
I could probably do the same for papaerwrk and filing. Though ebay and the charity shop probably won't want my cast off letters! :rotfl:
Where's the flylady thread SB*... need to go have a nosey...

 Found the flylady thread! It's a bit scary isn't it! If it's ok with you guys, I'll just continue to moan and list things I should be doing here!!!
I'm off to make a hot chocolate and then I'm going back to bed.
One day I will wake up feeling refreshed and bursting with energy!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Doctors appointment - check (She's still a fab lady! Stronger eye drops and a stern reminder to "not tire myself out" so I don't set myself back to the beginning of the year!)
Washing taken off clothes horse and folded - check (No off course they're not ironed, what do you take me for?)
Dinner cooked and eaten - check (Rice, quinoa & bulgar wheat with onions, peppers and beetroot, if you're wondering.)
Next lot of washing in the machine - check
Dishes done - check
Body Balance attended - check
My side of the crammed wardrobe somewaht sorted out - check
Washing hung up - check
Three more things added to ebay - check (oh yes! You read that right!!!)
Almost time for smug sleeps!
Although, to keep me sensibly grounded, I paid my £4 library fine. Why is it I can never get a library book back in time? It's within walking distance of my flat even if it does have random opening times! Though I did reserve a copy of The Secret. Well, I've heard so much about it, I figure I best see what it is I'm missing out on.
I never made it to the post office or the pharmacy before closing as the doctors surgery was running half an hour late... so not only have I ruined today's NSD, it kinda scuppers tomorrow's as well. Oh the trials and tribulations of trying to be an organised grown up.
And I still need to pay a cheque into the back...
Which reminds me, I best go check all the direct debits have gone ahead as planned.(And whether or not I can change that signature yet...)

Hi Nic!
Sorry I didn't see your request for flylady's thread but glad you found it. I'm not ready for it yet either but I do like the idea of running around with bin bags to ditch as much as possible ...... easier to 'chuck' than it is to find 'homes' for everything!!
Popped in to let you know 'The Secret' (normally £14.99) is on offer at Amazon. Just ordered that and the daily teachings (also on offer) for £15.81 (inc P&P). Thought that maybe buying 'The Secret' while it's on offer might work out cheaper than late fees at the library!;)

Ooh, thanks SB*. I think i have "money" I can use on amazon too (survey points. Must check that out too.) Crikey, the list just get's longer and longer, doesn't it!
Ok, so cheque paid into bank :j. Asked about reducing my overdraft and had to arrange a "review appointment".
Repeat after me Nicca: "No. No. No. No. No. No."
No. I do not need OR WANT a "reward"- account.
No. I do not need home insurance. (You can't beat it. Despite your guarantee. You tried once before.)
No. I do not need to renew my mortgage. (Erm, actually I do, but I can't right now and RBS would not be on my shortlist anyhoo!)
Anyhoo, so cheque in. WHat comes after in...
Out
Post - Posted BigWardrobe thingybob. (Asked the girl behind the counter about blueys to send letters to my friend in Afghanistan. She told me I had to get them from the stand that sells thing like bubblewrap and parcle tape or from the newsagent. This isn't right, is it? Aren't they free from the post office? Does any-one know?)
Medicine - Got new eye drops (Was only £3 this time. I don't know what's going on with the presciption prices in Scotland. They're different every time I go. I guess I could ask pharmacist friend if I was interested. Or the price was going up not down!)
Incidentally, I spied the hemorroid cream. I stared and stared at it and I wondered whether to pick it up and just be cool! By some force of nature I decided it wasn't to be. Phew! Closer inspection shows up the word "suppositires" clear as day! Wonder how long I'd have kept that up beofre wondering why my eyes didn't look any better! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Foody bits - sensible stuff, rice milk, potatoes, leeks... (mmmm leek and potato soup... tomorrow's agenda!)
Stationary stuff - project book to attempt to get me organised for my course, parcel tape for my immenent ebay sales!
Birthday pressie for my neice. Super organisation, her birthday's not until November! But then so are 7 other birthdays of the "birthday's I'd rather not ignore" variety. And my nephew's birthday is December. Talk about bad planning!
Birthday pressie for friend. Another November birthday. Though am visiting her at the end of October (in London town :j). Should get money back on this one as there's a few of us pitched in. This one is also on the credit card; first time I've used it since I bought the laptop a year ago!I actually do only use it for purchases I want protection on these days (such a getting a friend tickets for a concert some time in the future!) I appear to be learning after all
.
Nephew's pressie for that thing that happens at the end of December that you occasionally hear people talk of!
Stuff for dressmaking course. All ebay purchases, all chasing the clock so I could get them in today and aim for an NSD tomorrow!
Tonights dressmaking class consisted of altering and pinning the mock up dress too me to make sure it fitted. Then unpicking it all and cutting it material to the right size to pin to the "proper" material. So the next time the scary stuff begins! Cutting. The. "Proper". Material. (Take a left-handed girl... give her a pair of scissors..... watch the chaos unravel :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Maths bit: In £284 Out £117.93 (minus 40 from due from others, minus 20 because my credit card is it credit) Total spend = £57.93.
Anyhow, how'd it get to that time?
You lot are no good at reminding me of my laptop ban!

People have been telling me how tired I look all day
. None of them sent me home to sleep though! I suspect it's because my eyes are still 'icky (and is nothing at all to do with the time of last night's post
). I'm starting to suspect the eye infection is a result of my fringe. Every time my fringe gets to that "hanging in your eyes" stage, I get an eye infection. It's being cut on Sunday so we shall see! (It's also, crucially, being died!) Not a very MSE haircut but they've a half price cut and colour on at the moment so more MSE than it normally is!
I've just realised It's actually bl**dy blatic in here! Guess who is in a battle of wits with the turning on of the heating! ...Which reminds me, I need to read the meter... let me just find the bottom of the "to do" scroll...
Taken more photos and began to upload a few more things onto ebay. Got bored when I could figure out what waist size 24 in jeans translates to in women's UK sizes (I suspect an 8? But I don't really know.)
But the place is still chaos. I was looking to see whether there were any shoebox appeals up and running in the area. I thought it might be a nice way of recycling any wee nic-nacs and tops, but the only one I can find doesn't accept used clothes. And I can't find any guidelines on toiletires so I do't know whether I can realistically make up shoeboxes cheaply. So now I feel guilty.
Today has been an NSD. And I'm doing a very simple mystery shop soon for which I will receive a £5 M&S voucher. Free food
.
Take care all.

Right! Says she decisively! I've decided this needs to be 15 minute time slot day today! This house is still a tip and I'm fed up of it! And I need to do some post grad stuff too! So I must be focused and get to it!
Been to the bank this morning. Took longer than expected, mostly because they were running late but because it was a Saturday morning and I'd just finished my other job, I sat, glaikit* in the corner and filed my nails until I had to talk finance. And at least they brought me a cup of tea.
They didn't try to sell me anything either! I know, I was shocked and stunned too! Well actually, I was probably too vague for them to really try! They want me to "pop in" with my life assurance paper work to "check I'm getting the best deal".
And they did point out I should have a healthyish surplus left to play with at the end of each month so I needed to find out where is going! (I toyed with the idea of asking him if he used this site)
Funnily enough I downloaded the MoneyBasics Spendometer to my phone yesterday so let's see if that helps!
First job should be to put into it the money I spent in Boots on Thursday evening!!!(Sinus sachets alone were £18. Not to mention another £6 on eye medication. And we'll gloss over the price of the industrial strength concealer to try and help with the bags under the eyes! And a few wee other bits and pieces; you know the stuff, cotton buds, shower stuff, hair lightener and that kind of thing! All the reasons I generally try to stay away from Boots! But the guy on check-out was lovely and took my Boots card off to the machine to see if he could save me money or get me more pionts, so at least some-one was paying attention!)
Friday, and I'm forecasting today, are NSDs! (Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut, so it'll be on a par with the Boots spend!) Hmmmm, I think I'm seeing the things here I didn't tell Mr Bank Man about! That's the surplus pretty much used up there!!!
Planning on sneaking another couple of christmas pressies in on Sunday too. That'll leave me 2 and 2 halves to go. I'm mulling over whehter I can make things for the folks left; though would still need to buy a few bits and pieces to do that. (I'm thinking scented sachets or doorstops or something... not sure yet.)
And I'm determined to get another £1000 off the RBS loan by the end of the year! (My first ebay sale: £3.20! Ok, not a great deal toward £1000, but it's a start:j)
So... time slots here I come...
