Not spying on you hon I swear.
Stumbled upon Martins thread re book based on diaries, (up all night again:()
I thought you were going to bed so you can imagine my jaw hitting the floor when I saw the time on your post!
Brilliant post though Nic, well said!;)
EDIT
Hope cold and conjunctivitis clears quickly (DS now has cold, miggy also has conjunctivitis) I get it through tiredness because I can't stop rubbing them...expecting it any day now.
off to PM Happy for her recommended reading list & ask her to be a motivation coach to you & psycho, sadly won't be around to nag you both (OH now due home tomorrow!)PROUD MEMBER OF

:rotfl:I know! I'm not good with self-discipline! My lap top ban has to be all or nothing it seems!
Wonder if the diaries book will go ahead? Weirdly I PM'd Martin a few months back asking if it was ever likely. He (or his people) did respond saying he'd been asked before but had never had time and maybe they should have another look.
Probably not that weird actually. Given the amount of messages he gets, he's probably asked it several times a day! And more by savvy publishing companies.
Induction day for post grad was good. Didn't really learn anything I couldn't have worked out for myself but just meeting the course co-ordinator and other folks doing the modules was invaluable. Especially since I freaked out last year and din't do anything for it all!!! (Though on the plus side it probably was another catalyst that made me go see my GP!) At least now I know who it is I'm talking to when Im asking for help and stressing out because my time management skills are no-where near as polished and rounded as my procrastination skills!
And the Forth Road Bridge isn't a toll and the parking space I'd nabbed was actually free and I didn't get a ticket, so thus far it's been a NSD.
Though I have had a text to say a few friend's are in the pub and I would like to go and say hello as I've not seen some of them for a while. But if I go, I want to drink. But I'm not entirely sure I can be bothered to move! A two hour drive home, fluctuating between pelting rain and bright sun in rush hour on a Friday evening when your eyes are sore with conjuctivitis and you're never usually up at 6am makes for a flaked out lazy body of a Friday night!!!
ETA: the heavens opened and I wasn't going out to the pub in a monsoon so NSD remained intact.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I've brought three coats and a pair of shoes through from the bedroom and dumped them in the middle of the living room floor. I'm now scrambling around (in my head) trying to remember where I put the memory card for the camera.
These will be on ebay be the end of the weekend! (Hopefully without harm to me or my computer)

Go Nic!! One thing a week, several would be fab!!
My study plans are still out the window, my two standbys got changed to flights and I'm now legging it up to Blackpool on my days off to sort out my bridesmaid dress.... in theory I should be able to get some done if I take my books as my friend will have to work anyway. Uh oh Psycho! You need subliminal audiotapes so you can just wear them and absorb what you need to know!
Or take your studying in-flight. Change the safety run through to meet your needs. instead of asking if folk want tea or coffee, ask them an exam related question. When they respond" Huh?", give them the answer. Bingo. You're studying and they are learning. Every-one's a winner.
Seriously though, I hope you manage to fit enough studying in to a hugely busy schedule do what you need to do to do on the day.
Drum roll please... I have just listed my first thing on ebay ever :T.
Ok, so I took photos, attempted to upload them onto the laptop and managed to delete everything on the memory card 'cos my fat thumbs hit a different button to the one I was aiming for  ... which wasn't so good!! (Friend's wedding(s)? Gone! All of them. :wall:)
You live and learn!
And ok, it's probably not the best time of the day to be listingbut it's on and I can see how it goes.
I can't wait for the day I can donate the money to charity because one of the ebay charities is SOFT UK which is a charity very dear to a fabulous friend of mine and I would love to be donating everything I may possibly earn to them.
This is only a wee jacket though so if I actually get 99p for it, I'll be lucky! Every little helps... now where have I heard that before?

Sometimes it's a pain in the neck being a pedant! My RBS account is showing as having taken my £288.05 payment to them. But it's not been added to the loan yet ('cos the payment date is the 2nd each month and that's today and not a working day).
Which means I can't change my signature yet. And this month's payment will take it down to £10081.75. By hook or by crook I will make another payment of £81.76 into that loan this month to knock another number off! :rotfl:And make it a total of £9999.99 outstanding.
Then I need to look closely at my budget again. I seem to be going into my overdrafts on 2 of my 3 accounts at the end of each month. I want to stem this and make sure the payments from my second job can be made to the RBS loan and not just be mopping up my overdrafts!
So
Bank account 1 (RBS)- Pay goes in (work work)
- 2nd job pay goes in (cheque payable as cash, can only be cashed in a specific RBS branch so I ask it to be put into my account)
- RBS loan payment £288.05 comes out
- O2 broadband payment comes out £12.50 (dunno why this didn't transfer over when I changed to A&L)
- As soon as work pay goes in I tranfer money to Bank account 2
- Mortgage
- Council tax
- TV licence
- Fator (Scottish thing I believe. Building insurance and repairs on shared areas in block of flats)
- Contents Insurance
- Life assurance
- Scottish Power
- BT
- Orange (mobile)
- RCSLT (professional registration)
- HPC (professional registration)
- SLC1
- HFC
- Lodger's money goes in (£250)
- Veggie box goes out
- But so do other things!!!
- Monthly subsrition for the account  I was conned into this when they told me it was the only way I couldn't be fined for a payment I was warning them would be 24 hours late. Would have been cheaper paying the goddamn unauthorised overdraft fine!
- Lovefilm. Never used it. And the bl**dy cashback never came through either 'cos I never got them to send me anything, I just used the online stuff. Muppet girl!
- Credit Expert. That's expensive isn't it!!!! And I know I can just ask for the reports when I need them from all three agencies.
Which isn't why I set them up! It was meant to organise me and make life easier! I should only ever need one debit card on me. The other two shouldn't be touched! They have specified purposes and amounts of money in them!
So, things I need to change...- Move o2 broadband payment to Bank 2
- Move veggie box payment to Bank 2
- Check why RCSLT payments don't seem to be going out (might explain why I have had my professional magazine delivered
)
- Sort out bank account 3. Cancel the bad things!
- Pay off the overdrafts. (£140 on bank 1. Others ok at the moment - 'cos it's 2nd October! And pays just gone in
)
- Reduce overdrafts on 1 & 2 (just in case there's a pay or bill emergency).
- Get rid of overdraft on 3. (I'd only ever be going into it for frivolous purposes!)
- And while I'm at it I might as well cancel expensive BT and set up o2 phone which I've been thinking about for a while. (BT started charging me an extra £3ish a month "low user rate" - phone's unplugged; I have it only because I need it for wireless broadband. Robbing b*s*a*d*)
- And figure out what's going on with Closed Finance. Just received an "action" letter (pay us or else but actually very vague on the details!) because I cancelled my DD on that life assurance. I'm 100% certain I did not sign any agreement. Previously my life assurance was through the mortgage brokers and they set it up, but I didn't confirm the renewal in writing! I know this as they were phoning me while I was gallavanting around the Isle of Wight and Littlehampton and the paperwork was miles away from me both in essence and in mind! Though I may have agreed over the phone. Unlikely but possible. So when the DD cameout I just cancelled it. I'd already set up a much cheaper life assurance. So I need to find out whether I am actually obliged to be paying for it or not. And whether I'm stuck with it for the next year.
Since it's now all nicely documented, I'm off to make a cuppa
(PS Today won't be an NSD. Need to head to post office and have a notion for beans on toast but don't have any beans. Or bread actually... hmmm, maybe I'll just see what else there is in the cupboard!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Aaaarrrrgggggghhhhhh!
I want a padded room to run around and scream in!!!!!!
I'm trying to sort out my bloody room! I have a hundred things under the bed - to be ebayed! They've been there since February (or whenever it was I last went on a mad clean up operation).
Now I'm trying to pair down my wardrobe.
It's no that I have a problem being ruthless any more! I've become more and more so in my quest for a more minimalistic, clutter and dust free home!
But how can you be ruthless and ebay in a small two bedroomed flat when you have a lodger in your spare room.
I'm just moving things around not actually getting anywhere!
*Rant over" Where did those minstrels go...? (The chocolate ones, in case your wondering!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Room still a tip. Double side of wardrobe crammed with stuff to ebay. Single side crammed with my stuff. Had to throw myself against the doors to get them shut!
There's a box of rubbish and a box of ebay stuff.
There is still a lot of chaos!
But it will be a NSD as I didn't make it to the post office. And now I have to watch the xfactor and try and sort this room before the night it over!
I still have conjunctivitis and my eyes are icky. I want to take them out and give them a good clean and hose out the sockets! Im also plucking up the courage to go and get haemorroid cream for the bags underneath! :rotfl::rotfl: Can't bring myself to do it though!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Scratch the hemorroid cream idea. I've been looking to see whether it's safe to use under your eyes and can't help but think if it was, they'd have repackaged it, whacked up the cost and sold it to the major make-up places.
Instead I'm away to make myself two cups of tea and then I'll use the tea bags! (Perhaps not right away!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hi Hun!
Empathise on the 'low user' reductions on services used, had the same with Bgas '10 reduction but paying £180+yr (for 3 yrs) on a boiler I no longer had because they 'condemned' it!
I know it's all time consuming and very frustrating dealing with all discrepancies but persevere honey, I found 1 dd going out but managed to reclaim almost £600 so you may just find one that will make it all worthwhile!Main thing is to cancel what's not needed asap, quick to take it but once they've got your money, it's a damn sight harder to get overpayments refunded.
Clutter prob is same here but affecting pretty much whole house!
If we're anything alike, you'll regret pulling it all out because it's so time consuming and chaotic to live with.
Peace and calm await my lovely, it'll all come good in the end!;)
I'm defo taking the tip on flyladys thread when it's done so it doesn't stack up again! Must teach OH & DS to do the same!!!
Hope eyes are better soon, you can get eyedrops for infected eyes now directly from the chemist (cheaper than pres cost)
I have the cream, (yes I bought it for my eyes!!!:p):rotfl:
Didn't make any difference to me but my eyes are older than yours, I'll send it to you if you want to have a go!(too embarrassed to buy it! LMAO!):rotfl:
