Hey anonymoose :j Lovely to see you! Feeling very behind in my forum reading and posting :(. I've imposed a laptop ban in the evenings in an attempt to get to my bed at a sensible time! Don't know how long I can last until the withdrawal symptom get too much though!

And I think I'm very much off the wagon in my spending! :(:o:o:o But hoping to get a bit more time next week to sort out a new budget and catch up and post!

Lula -You were sooo right when you said I'd realise just how bonkers I must have been while I was off given how people are treating me with kid gloves at the moment!
I had my formal return to work interview with my professional boss, my operational base manager and HR (if ever anything is going to give you a nervous breakdown just as you've returned to work; that would be it!!!). But, hallelujah!!!!!, my boss actually seemed to hear what I was saying for the first time ever!

I was moaning (again) about my supervision and feeling like a partronised school child. And she said she realised then how ill I had actually been prior to going off having listened to my reasoning for why supervison wasn't working for me. I.e. I actually can make very well informed, sound clinical judgements! (Well you'd bl**dy hope so, wouldn't you!) My caseload just got way too big because I was ill and shutting down as I had too much to cope with.

But I feel back to the normal me again and I'm bl**dy relieved my boss seems to have realised that too! (It helps that "supervisor" is off on annual leave until the end of July too.)

    Yay! :j

July's job: clamber back up onto the MSE wagon! :o

Right, jumps into action... I've been awol far too long... goddamn life just keeps getting in the way!

And without MSE I do tend to go off the rails a bit in my debt-busting duties!

So, while I might not be around as much as I'd like to, I'm going to try and pop on at least once a week, otherwise everything goes to pot and then I start to feel guilty and start writing big long lists of numbers I don't do anything with!

I think it's fair to say the Clothes Challenge is probably out of the water! Saying that, I have been given numerous bin bags full of clothes from a colleague so there's scope for clawing some of that back. It's just the thought of working out the figures that terrifies me and gives me that nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach!!!

But I did get to wear the most gorgeous navy polka dot dress to the wedding with my fabulous red heels :D.

The NSD challenge is back on track and I've signed up for 10 this month.

I need to get a new hoover and possibly a freezer and I need to call the plumber to sort my kitchen taps.

I need to pay for a yoga course mum has booked us on, a wedding I'm going to in September and my dress-making course.

And I need to budget for all the birthdays and **** pressies I need to buy (it's far to soon to be counting down the run up to **** already, hence the stars!)

So I need to sort out my budget - again! And try to keep to it for longer than 4 months this time!!!

So far I've ordered a cash-back credit card. This is for internet purchases (going to get the hoover on internet via Quidco) and food shopping. It's the smallest limit I was able to ask for and will be paid off in full every month.

And I have another long list of things I need to do!

First up I think I'll sort out my signature! (Though I might just leave tackiling the clothes challenge for now! Baby steps and all!)

  • Morning Nic, nice to see you back!! Your dress was pretty amazing!!

Are you still going to come to the meet in September?

I have been really bad regarding finances recently too.... very good for a few months and then, I must get bored or something cos it spirals out of control! Desperately trying to sort myself out again now, just need to get a few more bits for the kitchen in the flat (to cook with) and then I shouldn't have any more excuses for spending money. Ive managed to spend about £500 on my cc in a matter of a few weeks!

Ooops, laptop ban not gone so well tonight ;) Shhh, don't tell any-one!

Lovely to see you both :D I didn't expect to find any-one here given how long I've been gone!

Psycho - I do exactly the same! And Happy, you're right, some-times you just want to ignore the fact your trying to stay on top of it all and popping on here can remind you more of what you haven't acheived than what you have (at least, it does for me when I'm feeling guilty! :o).

Psycho, I've a funny feeling I might be working the Glasgow night (it's the 26?) and not sure I'll be able to take it as unpaid leave even as I need the 11th off for another wedding. But I don't start until 9pm so I can come along early doors for a bit if I can't get the night off completely. What are your plans? Are you coming up to Glasgow for the weekend or just on the day?

Booked onto my dressmaking course today, starts on the 14th Sep. I may at last get some use out of my sewing machine (which is sitting proudly on the table in the living room but lives in hope that I'll sit down and play with it one evening! :p)

Right, off to bed with you young lady!
