The Lost Poem, Dr Suess
I love my job, I love the pay!
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss he is the best!
I love his boss and all the rest.
I love my office and its location, I hate to have to go on vacation
I love my furniture, drab and gray, and piles of paper that grow each day
I think my job is really swell, there's nothing else I love so well
I love to work among my peers, I love their leers and jeers and sneers
I love my computer and its software;
I hug it often though it won't care. I love each program and every file
I'd love them more if they worked a while.
I am happy to be here. I am. I am.
I'm the happiest slave of the firm, I am.
I love this work, I love these chores.
I love the meetings with deadly bores.
I love my job- I'll say it again-I even love those friendly men
Those friendly men who've come today,
In clean white coats to take me away!!!!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

You'll note I have neglected to mention the actual prices! but have been too scared to admit to it or or declare it on Lula's thread yet! Or change my signature!
Suffice to say I've almost doubled my crazy clothes challenge budget (that's not including the shoes!) Karen Millen Shoes! (Second hand shop, never been worn) £80 off the rrp!
Dont worry sweetie, Lula is far too busy avoiding the clothes challenge herself until she has worked out exactly how few pennies she has left / how to increase her budget without anyone noticing
On the plus side, they were bargaineous! And will be used!
Well you silly, that's all fine then :rotfl:Mostly I am feeling guilty about the shoes! Another pair of 5 inch heels! Red this time, with a strap across the toe and florals and sequins on the heel.
Oooooh , they sound gorgeous
And even more guilty because I now want a navy dress to go with said heels for July's wedding, despite the £5 gorgeous dress I also bought. For wich I have no suitable heels (it's chocolate and turquoise.)And because I didn't get cropped combats or capri pants, which is what I went in search of!
Welcome to my world :rotfl:And no, the rush doesn't wear off just because you've not done it in a while
I hear ya

I love you Lula :A
Just wanted to pop on to say hello and apologise for my absence! There's been loads going on and I've been off to Littlehampton for my DIY SOSing.
Now trying to get back on track and remember how to go about the mundane things in life.
This has befuddled my poor wee brain, which isn't renowned for it's ability to work at full capacity at the best of times. I'm way behind in my forum reading.
I really must learn how to freeze time!
And work out how to summarise what I've been up to so I don't bore you all to tears :rotfl:.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Oh yes. I'm supossed to be here about debt-busting, aren't I? Well, erm, ahem... yes.
Lets just gloss over a few wee bank charges and things (I'm still working out how to fit them into a haiku).
And focus on the positive:D:D:D:D (Haven't I been a good girl in counselling!)
Tomorrow another £288.05 will come off my RBS loan. This will take it under £10,000. Which makes it half of the original amount(It's not noted as the original amount in my siggy as, although I had a stash of light bulbs then, none of them were enegy saving and I didn't know what to do with them. About 8k paid and a bout of depression later, I found the right switch and the lights shone brightly*).
Right Nicca, get to bed woman!
* Though ocassionally switch off without warning for periods of time! That's when I rely on you guys to stop me stumbling about in the dark!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Morning and yay on the rbs loan :-). Well I think I've had a further wake up cAll with the new budget now is not a good time to have a ball and chain to the neck :-/ house diy may just have to wait if it's livable :-/ I worke out a rough cost of 5k for a stud wall and the rest of the house decorative :-0 but maybe that should be best energised into the debt reduction which is a sad move :-0 I should be sensible! Yes come back down go the realms of reality where nick knowles is not taking his top

Hey honey, I'm off too work later
Just wanted to say thank you for your pm and I will reply properly soon.
Let yourself off the hook with the hair too! Sometimes it just got to be done! I spent too long not getting my hair cut at all, then one day woke up and realised I love getting my hair done, I love my hairdresser and her funny stories and it's my favourite treat (or at least, an equal treat to charity shop shopping!) so I'm gonna try and budget for it! But if I was being sensible I'd go to my friend's cheap as chips hairdresser. Nah, ain't gonna happen!
I've got a wedding in Barnsley next weekend but I'm driving folks up on Satuarday morning and driving back Sunday so it might be a squeeze to try and meet up. Will just have to arrange to visit the newlyweds at some point
.
I need a cuppa before work... oh shoot, need to retrieve the washing off the line too...
NSDs have gone awol. There's not enough days to reach my target of 13. Or even my last target of 10. Ah well, that's what I get for being too c*cky and for going off gallavanting. Must try harder.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Yikes, I haven't been on the long haul thread for ages. Soooo many threads to keep up with.
Today has been my first lazy day, I've been reading and snoozing and loving doing very little. Then I remebered I'd abandoned my car at my friend's last night in favour of a few beers for her birthday. HAd to go and get it before work tomorrow and ventured out of the house at exactly the time the heavens were planning on opening and drenching every-one daft enought to be out of the house without a jacket! If only I'd had some shampoo in my bag!!!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
