Happy, hope your back is getting better.

I'm tired tonight so just popping on to say I got another NSD and employee counselling was useless. Lovely nurse, we spoke for ages about her dogs and my folks getting their puppy tomorrow. But in terms of my boss being a pain in the a55 and a patronising moo, she basically said, why don't you tell her to stop it and wrote that everything on the report that was fine and they don't need to see me again :wall:. Today was her last day in post! And she was writing up her notes on the back of an envelope! Even I wasn't that bad when I was working and clearly depressed and stressed (isn't hindsight a bl**dy pain in the a55 sometimes :rotfl:.) Though I have to say I'm glad I don't have to go back!

Yoga was tought tonight. Was a new class, and she does "seasonal flow yoga", whatever that is. I will be sore tomorrow, I can feel the tops of my legs protesting at the moment! She did some thing where she did something with my chakra (some energy thing), which I liked because she basically rubbed lavender oil on her hands, sorted out my shoulders and gave the tiniest head massage possible (she had a room full of students) and then went into relaxtion :D.

I was less happy when she asked if the two teenage girls next to me were my daughters :(. I'm still deciding whether to forgive her for that nd go back next week!

Sounds like you've been very busy ... now off to hide my head in shame at not having laid my yoga mat on the floor all week :(

Light sabre at the ready! But I may need some-one else to swing it for me! I strained my hand in yoga :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::o:o. And it's my left hand and I'm left handed so writing has been a pain and drving a two handed hand-brake operation :o.

I'm blaming the all the downward facing dogs! Which my male friend's seemed to find hilarious! Still I can't complain as it won't be as bad as Happy's back! Hope the accupuncture helped Happy! The physios at work had a look and said I need to rest it but my supervisor didn't believe I shouldn't write any reports for a day or two though :p.

I think she's on the brink of a nervous breakdown in her eforts to keep the pressure from me. Unfortunately I have no sympathy as I am having to restrain myself from telling her to quit being a control freak and just let me do my job my way! (Extremely riled at being told to work in a "less holistic" fashion! Have you ever heard the like! I was sure the patients were supposed to be at the centre of the NHS! Hohum! And let's not even go into her picking apart my lunch "because there wasn't enough energy in it" and maybe me forgetting to take in bread was just an excuse. And how would other be able to people tell if I were getting ill again if I come up with excuses. And should I be expecting people to do that anyway. And when was I taking people off the waiting list. And what am I do with that person. Why? What if it takes longer? What strategies do I have in place to manage my time better? And why am I planning on doing that intervention anyway as it's not a priority (said of a gentleman who has been on a build-up drink only diet for the last 20 years for no identifiable medical reason and of a professional area she is not trained in but I am)....) I could go on, but it's the weekend now and I don't care :D. (Working very hard at my breathing and positive thinking! Really I want to say **** *** ****, if you want to control my caseload so bad, you take them on. I'll give her to the end of the year before she's onlong term sick leave!) And relax...

Anyhoo, I'm supposedly getting ready to head to my friend's for the weekend - hyper kiddie alert and trampolining - woohoo! And a BBQ if I mange my sun dance too! I hope the light saber fits it the car with everything else!

Bigmumma, we do a bit of thai chi at the begining of body balance. I like it but still feel a bit daft :D. Good practise for the light saber though! I would be able to swirl it with grace if it weren't for my gammy hand! And Lula - if I didn't go to a yoga class, there's be no chance of me keeping up yoga in the flat. At least not without numerous visits to A&E! I can't even begin to explain one of the moves she was trying to get us to do the other night - if I find a piccie, I'll show you all! But not before Tuesday as I really must get my stuff together (and get to the supermarket for some "light refreshments" ;) before it becomes uber busy as is its wont on a Friday!) SUffice to say I was like a defunct weeble - I wobbled, then I fell over :D.

Have a fab weekend every-one - my sun dance is for you all too :D.

Puppy has arrived :D And been given a Sunday name (Lexi-Mae) after mum realised she arrived on what was my Nana's birthday. I think Lexi-Mae may hear her Sunday name often as she has already manged to escape from her make-shift toilet training area made by my brother and dad (turf from brother's work and a fence "to keep her in" by dad). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Digger (big brother) is resolutely ignoring her, though has manged to acquire a few of her chews to remind her who is boss! :rotfl::rotfl: She is getting her own back by being noisy! Digger gets a fright at his own bark as he does it so rarely, so Lexi-Mae must be driving him insane :rotfl::rotfl:.

Money-wise I've been a bit docile! To say the least! :o I forgot to transfer £1000 from current account to bill account :o:(. Bill account takes everything from mortgage and council tax to student loan so literally fell off my chair in fright at work when I realised! Rushed home to find A&L had paid everything but this did take me £330 over my arranged overdraft. Money has now transferred and according to internet banking has left and reached the correct accounts today. So technically the money has gone in on the same day it has come out. However, I've been here with banks before and been told their cut off for same day is something like 2pm unless it's cash, so I'll need to keep an eye on whether or not they'll charge me. Needless to say, a standing order has now been set up! What a muppet.

Weekend was a bit spendy as I was at my friend's and we were out and about with the kiddies. It was the "Spring Fling" in Dumfries and Galloway, which I can really recommend if you like your arty stuff and rolling countryside. Basically loads of local artists open up their homes, galleries or workshops for the weekend and you can drive around the county and take in their works. There was some absolutely fabulous wood-turners and I really wished I had a spare £6k and accompanying mansion to do justice to the most spectacular bookcase I have ever seen!

I was also jumping up and down in excitement at some of the photography work. One of whom agreed to a very reasonable commission price for me as he knows my friend :D. He had exactly what I have been looking for for my fireplace wall since I moved in (which was 3 years ago this month! Wow, time flies!). No, I haven't bought it yet, but I am going to save up for it :D.

My friend and I also decided we are going to book a holiday to Portugal. A proper holiday, 3 or 4 nights in Lisbon and then a week in the Azores, with a pool and near a beach and fruit markets. No, neither of us can afford it right now and both of us are paying debts, but we have decided to book it for October 2011 to give us time to save alongside debt-busting. And to help keep us both going on the hard days. I reckon it'll be good for me as I don't remember the last time I had a holiday that was more than city-break for 3 or 4 nights. And I think it'll definitely help me tolerate work :D. Pretty certain that both finances and lack of proper holiday time from work (I always do busy holidays; city breaks, festivals; visitng family and friends) contributed to my depression and I'm determined to make sure I am more balanced in how I deal with both of these.

And I can safely say the holidays are in hand with a week off this month (SothernBelle*, milk, no sugar for me... and I'm a bit partial to a yummy sponge or madiera cake ;)), a week off next month to learn all my new sewing skills and a week off in August for puppy-sitting :D).

And the finances are getting there!

Today was NSD 1 for June. This month I'm aiming for 13. I'm on track for managing the clothes challenge within budget if I match my current spending in the next 6 months. And I haven't bought a proper book since I joined the book challenge, where I am trying to read the books I've still to read on my bookcase before I buy any more.

I'm not always paying off as much as I wolud like to the debts but I am meeting all the minimums and I seem to have a better balance than I did have.

The spending diary is, however, still the bain of my existence and often overlooked - deliberately so I fear. And while I know this isn't a good thing, I am continuing to ignore it! So if you've any ideas... :D

I hope every-one is doing well... I think I might go and calculate how much I've paid off this year so far since we are at the half way point... (yes, tonight I can't be bothered to go to the gym ;). Whatever made you think that might be the case?)
