I have some like that nicca. I decided to wear jeans inside the boots and with the help of a friend managed to fit the boots on (very undignified but funny), when I got home later on my own I should have guessed I would have a job to get them off. Ended up giving up and dozing on the sofa with them on. About 4hours later (and perhaps a little more sober) I did manage to get them off and go to bed.
Now I think I can only wear them when I know there will be someone around to help take them off. Or maybe next time I'll try asking the taxi driver to help :rotfl::rotfl:
Anonymoose - I don't think toes are essential. Well actually they might be in summer for wearing sandals, you could chop them off as winter comes ready to wear niccas boots?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Anonymoose, I'd recommend a night of cocktails as a precautionary painkiller before the chopping of the toes! Alternatively, you could create a decorative peep toe design on the boots and let your toes roam free :rotfl::rotfl:
I think I'd be that cautious on ebay too. I have a 100% buyer rating, wouldn't want to ruin that because some-one grumpy thought I hadn't posted them their item and left nasty feedback. I'd get upset at that!
This evening I am mostly using the ironing table as a laptop table! It works much better this way (and there are no jugs of water in site!).Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

The Quest for the Blackberry continues......
Quidcos offer of the week is £160 cashback (after 2 months) for all new Orange contracts. Minimum monthly package is £22.50 but averaging it out over the 2 year contract thats £15.88 a month....its still not purple though and you'd have to factor in the increase broadband costs though unless you could keep O2 broadband by sticking a free Pay as you go sim into your duff handset.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
The elephant footed daughter, aka DD1 aged 10, thinks the purple wedges are ace and covets them immensely particularly as they are her size unfortunately shes destined to take after her mother and end up as at least a 44 shopping in transvestite outfitters in the hopes of finding something other than hideous mens shoes to wear although tranny shoes can be equally hideous. I don't do sequinned shoes or thigh boots.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Thank you moo! Hmmm, £22.50 still seems a lot and I refuse point blank to get involved if it's a 24 month contract. What a ridiculous concept! But mum has the Orange one, as does my friend, so I will look into it. Guess if I go for it I need go with an extra fiver a month for broadband... so an extra 12.50 a month altogether... to be forever contactable by mum... might need to sleep on this one :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Would be sublime to have a working phone though! Some budget jiggery-pokery may be required! (Payslip does suggest April payrise has happened. Can't work out if tax has already been adjusted... I find it all very confusing so off to scramble for last months payslip to compare!)
And Moo, you'd only be in trouble if your thigh boots were sequinedThe rest is grand.
Only spent £1.60 today - recorded delivery on clothes swap and 20p parking at the docs. Completed good deed by passing on my parking ticket to girl who needed only to pick up a prescription and I still had 10 mins left on the ticket. I hope I helped her with a NSD.
And I will be heading back to work on 13th May (Doc and I corroborated; agreed Wed would be a good day to go back so my first week is only a 3-day weekHave I already mentioned how fab my doc is!?). Only anxious about dealing with people molly-coddling me! or asking why I've been off. Contemplating wearing a t-shirt saying I hibernate in the winter. No more questions. Thank you!

Ok, had a look at Orange again... do think 24 months is a ridiculous amount of time to be locked into a contract. However, if I get a secondhand phone through CEX, as I was thinking, it has occurred to me I'll need to add blackberry data package to my current bundle, which is likely to push the price up to £22.50 anyway (pretty sure it was £7.50 when I last called), so I figure I've nothing to lose by calling o2 and asking for the code I need to swap my number over... if they try to "retain" me, I'll ask them to match the Orange deal, and if not, then really, if I can't claw back £5 from my budget, then I'm a pretty poor MSEr!
Not happy about the 24 month contract though. Scandalous, if you ask me. Pah!
But when your mum tells you you're turning into a grumpy old woman... well, it kinda changes your tune . (I'm am perhaps somewhat more sensitive to such comments since the last time I was home and we went to my Aunts party and mum was wearing an outfit I'd have chosen.)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hello :-D
Just thought I would pop by and ans how you are doing. Have done a little write up on my thread about the past couple of weeks if you hover over sometime
Look forward to speaking soonLong Haul number 207 :j
Back on the train again after a monumental bad time in my life..... :T0 -
Quick, call the emergency doctor... I think I have serious, delirious fever!
Not only have I been to Body Balance (ouch - do you feel that work!), but I also postponed my mystery shops until tomorrow as I'm heading into the city centre then anyway, so I'm hoping for another NSD today.
... but, by far, the most worrying symptoms are washing many, many clothes and (I hope you are sitting down right now!) ironing them!
It's serious! And very contagious! I only found out what ironing was yesterday, from Spoon. So she's got the same illness! I do hope you have some cures handy....
All in the name of swapping/selling clothes...
Now, young nicca, don't you go blaming me for that ironing lurgy...
Just catching up quickly... love the dress..
Back later for a more detailed catchupThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

After 8 years of being a 12 month only contract girly when I upgraded in Jan I did a 24 month one, mainly because I could save a tenner a month and get it down to £15. I'm with Orange and I like them better than o2, never found cs very helpful there but Orange have been helpful whenever I've needed them.
No idea what will happen when I get bored of my phone though:oProud to be dealing with my debts - LBM Mar 2010
