Ooh food diary and budgeting apps for the BB?! I must investigate as I don't have anything like that on mine!

More importantly, whats the birthday plans for Sat then? I hope you're popping on here for a virtual birthday drink!

Well there's 11 around me just now... I think there's 6 next door... that's excluding the one's my nephew purloined from me (it's very hard to argue with a 3 year old that you really are the better person to look after that there elephant!). So for all the effylumps lovers out there...

    :D:D:D:D:D

Guess what came while I was at yoga... :j:j:j:j:j Though I do need to meet my friend in 20 minutes and it will take me 20 minutes to get there and I'm still in my yoga stuff...

I guess it's bad form to tell him I have a new toy to play with ;).

Oh, ok then, I'll be a sensible girl and just put it on to charge while I'm out :(.

KP... if I figure out the aps, I'll let you know! Though chances are you are going to have to teach me how to use such a fancy-fangled phone!!! :o

And I shall indeedy be popping on here for some virtual celebrations :D (Especially now I have my new phone and I can be even more obssessive!)

I forgot just how cute they were :D.

I can't get my new phone set up :(. It wouldn't recognise the SIM card. :( I have now called Orange and it should apparently be ok once I take the SIM out and put it back in again. But now it's not doing anything at all. :( Including switching on. :(

It might take me a while to work this out!!!

Phew... all sorted... apart from my contacts (unless I have actually managed to transfer them by bluetooth!!!) And if not, ach well, I could probably do with a clear out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lunch was lovely. Haven't seen my mate for ages (or at least, not unless we've been in a massive group - like his wedding day!) so was good to catch up. He's doing some computer course thing though so was enthusing about that... all way over my head :o:D. And he wouldn't let me pay so my NSD is still intact (didn't win my ebay bid on a tailor's dummy. It would have been a bargain, but I'm glad I was out of the house for close of bidding! Bl**dy annoying when you see the person who won sniped in and got it for £1 more . But again, kept my NSD intact!)

  • Hi nic!

Checked in and playing catch up again! I thought you'd gone back to work today but realised I'm a week early....doesn't matter where I am, I'm still getting things confused! :D (told you it happens more as you get older!) Talking of which, someone's getting closer to a birthday! :p I won't forget that one honey! ;)

Congrats on finally finding the right deal on your phone! :j

Good luck learning to use it! :D

I keep looking but can't find any news of a REFUNDED KITCHEN DEPOSIT!!!
You remember, the one you were going to claim back after the pushy salesman that wouldn't leave until you'd signed on the dotted line! :p

If you did and I missed it then......:o sorry

If you haven't done it yet...:D..I hope the lovely peeps supporting you keep on your case till you do! ;)...Nag her ladies! :p

Oops, I managed to sleep in for meeting my colleague for lunch. I wasn't meeting her until 12.45. Ooops! (Was up earlier, hiding under duvet trying to pretend I couldn't hear the council cleaning up the garden or clatttering the bins around, and I was up playing about on mobiles way too late, but still! Going back to work will be nigh on impossible if I don't sort it out!)

But she stuck around, waiting, bought my lunch a gave me a wee bunch of flowers for my birthday (she has an organic gardening business part time) which are gorgeous. :A

Forgot to give her my sick note so actually went to work for the first time in 5 months to hand it in - though did get her to nip down for it. Work is a polling station today so employees have to use the side (fire) exits rather than the main door. I think I was only spied by one person before I manged to escape :o. Need to get brave for this time next week!

Also put £233 into bank account. Not used it to pay anything off yet - think I'll use it to pay for my sewing courses this month instead (though will still have some left over for one of my debts at least).

Currently a NSD day. The list of things I need is getting longer but I'm hoping to make it to 5 before I cave in and buy anything. Still not organised enough - things keep popping into my head, I don't write them down, then I forget. So I'm putting off. Food shopping will become necessary soon! Though I can live without bread so I might manage until all the milk in the freezer has been used.

I have been toying with the idea of writing down everything in my cupboards and posting on the OS thread, or whichever thread it is that can help with meal planning. But a bit scared about doing that. Also feel it's a bit cheeky!

Gym folks are on strike today so no need to feel guilty about being a lazy moo :p And vote has been placed and may even have been counted (postal vote) so can feel (somewhat) virtuous about that. I think I'll watch channel 4's alternative election coverage in order not to throw the telly out of the window in frustration or horror!

There is also a website where you can put in your ingredients and it will come up with tasty recipies for you (admittedly this is not much use as I don't have the foggiest what its called). Might be worth trying that. But I don't think you need to feel cheeky about posting it on OS, they love helping I'm sure.
Its like when someone pops up an SoA on here and we all rush to help!

Failing that decide what you want to eat and then see if you have it in, or enough things you can substitute instead. I had veggie curry yesterday and whilst there were a few 'swaps' it still taster good!

I'm thinking that the alternative coverage will be interesting, but no I'll need to watch the real stuff all night as well. Its going to be scarier than doctor who.
