argh that's terrible that they lost your list.
Oh and quinoa, i saw it with the rices/pulses etc and thought aha someone mentioned that and couldn't find it0 -
Well I wrote down what I could remeber from my online shop and bounced off to the the supermarket in question... only to get there and find I'd left the list stting at home .
But I recommend going three-quarters of an hour before they close - I didn't really have time to impulse buy - and definitely had no time to check out the non-food section!
Though I also had to concentrate very hard to remember what was on the list. In the end I spent £60 () which is about £5 less than the online shop had come to - and I got loo roll which was on offer, so I've forgotten at least a tenners worth of stuff. But I'm sure I'll live!
It's all "store cupboard" stuff, so loads of pulses, grains and seeds, and dried fruits... this is to try and make sure I have lots to graze on throughout the day that has low GI for that slow release enegy to keep my blood sugars sensible (and to throw into anything I'm cooking to up the protein intake. Half of this is info from the doc and the other half from the food and mood book I got from the library. It's also likely to last me a couple of months, if not more (though perhaps not the dried fruits). My shopping is topped up by a fortnightly fruit & veg box, who also bring my organic eggs.
So just need to start the meal planning and I'm good to go! Though I was on the OS forum last night and got very scared - there's sooooooooooooo much information on there that's it very easy to get distracted! (Ooh, vinegar cleaning recipes, oooh, how to remove candle wax from the rug, ooooh veggie recipes...) I wasn't sure where to start!
Tonight I have chopped up lots of fruit to take to work and had lots of carrots chopped from the other night so plenty to graze on tomorrow! Humous and goats chees too.
Just need to check work clothes have not been eaten by months and then get myself some sleep!
I may not be around for the next couple of days as, not only will I have to work through the day, I have plans in the evening too - really messing up my NSDs for this week! Next one might not be until Saturday.

Just spent £50 on a weekend away
Ok, might be naughty in an MSE sense, but my friend (with the adopted children) and I are going away for an entire weekend, we will stay in wigwams (actually wooden, triangular hut things) and we will go to the spa wigwam and be pampered and we will eat BBQs and drink beers and go for walk in the country-side.... and CHILL
(well, I will....she may just sleep all weekend with no kiddies to keep her awake
).

Hey guys
Thank you for the good luck wishes, they worked a treat
.
Got in just before 10 and left around 2. I am hoping the tories will adopt this shift pattern as the new working week:rotfl:.
The phone call to IT was quick and easy! There must have been a change of management in my absense! Deleted around 1000 emails without reading them. Read todays emails, didn't understand most of them and then deleted them. Stuck some dates in the diary, shredded 5 months worth of [STRIKE]important papers[/STRIKE] stuff that had been sitting on my desk and filed some things. Drank tea, got a big bunch of flowers and felt more than a little embarrassed at how happy people seemed to see me!
Tomorrow is my "back to work" interview with 2 of my bosses (I work in health and social care, I have a professional lead, an allied health proessional lead, a head of learning disability service, a social work team leader and a health team leader... management lines can get befuddled to say the least!!!!!) so the honeymoon will soon be over!
I have a much reduced caseload, though with little pressure to take on new clients until the summer, so it should be ok. I just need to not let it build up and learn to say "no" to things I have no capacity for! Actually, if I learn to say "no", it just won't build up!
So, since I finished at 2pm, I headed to the gym. Accidently tried to lift 10 kilos more than I usually do when I muddled up the pecs machine and the chest press. I wondered why I couldn't physically move my arms on the second rep!!! I'm gonna regret my stupidity tomorrow!
And tonight I'm off to see a gig (Mr Scruff for anyone that knows him) where I will drink tea (I think all music gigs should have tea stalls!) and dance.
Which means I will have done a lot of exercise today (also went for a lunch-time walk) and will likely sleep like a baby.
Any guesses for whether I will be able to get up for work two days in a row?

Not entirely sure Anonymoose, my friend looked it all up then called me up to twist my arm. This is the link she sent http://www.queensberrybay.co.uk/wigwam/index.html. So if any of you happen to be there for a weekend mid-June, come join in our (veggie) BBQ (though my friend is no longer veggie. She blamed her medication but the doc gave me the same meds and I didn't suddenly start scoffing sausages :rotfl:Though I am possibly a tad more stubborn than she!).

Thank you Happy
. I didn't know you read my diary, you are a glutton for punishment :rotfl:. I'm guessing that's your night-shifts over for now? My frien's next placement is on the medical ward and she thinks it's a Saturday nightshift! What a horrid time to start a placement .
