Ow, ow, ow... am I feeling the after effects of Body Balance! On my inner thighs! Not helped by waxing appointment today (3 hours! Legs, bikini and eyebrows) when I had to move my leg into exactly the pose that killed them yesterday!

At least I didn't pass out at the cost as I got 50% off through My City deals and paid half of it at the time - but got loads more on top. So when I go back, it'll be the cost not the wax making my eyes water!!!

Since I'd lost my NSD, I then went to the supermarket for some supplies, came away with two pizzas, bread, whoopsie grapes, juice and caramel shortcake... of which only the bread and juice was needed (getting up from a heated therapy bed after three hours of waxing led to quite a dizzy head! ANd I'm not into the habit of carrying around food for me to graze on yet, so figured juice would balance the blood sugar)

I also did a couple of mystery shops... though to do so I took money out of one account to put between a couple of others - which is soooooo going to confuse me when I try to balance the budget! I also remembered I'd forgotten to bring the details for one of my accounts so felt a bit of a muppet as I tried to complete that transaction :rotfl:.

The ironong symptoms have eased of a bit, but they're not yet entirely cured. I also seem to have acquired another symptom: polishing shoes I no longer want! I'm hoping the caramel shortcakes are the antedote I need!

On the plus side, the girl who has the gorgeous backless dress that would be perfect for the wedding I'm going to in July, has offered it to me for £15 incl. postage, and I can return it if it doesn't fit. :A I cannot say no to that! Even though it is seriously going to play havoc with my clothes challenge budget! (Now I'm wishing I'd thought to separate work and play clothes! Though that would have been cheating really as many of my clothes start off as play clothes and become work ones as I get bored of them). I also have the problem of trying to figure out what you do bra-wise when you're wearing a backless dress - I don't need a lot of scaffolding, but I feel naked without some!

The blackberry situation is still mulling itself over in the back of my mind.

mum just texted to ask if I thought it was a good idea that they got another puppy. :j:j

Though Digger is a grumpy old dog and only likes female dogs, so they'd need to get a girl this time.

I asked if they could get a chocolate Lab. Mum wants a chocolate one but Dad is insisting it has to be black. I told her to knock his glasses off when they get the pup, then insist he is going senile whenever he questions the colour of the dog :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

I'm taking bets (in dog biscuits) of who will win! When we were wee, mum came home with a puppy whippet and Dad was not chuffed as he - apparently - hates whippets. But mum evidently had a cunning plan as me and my brother were distraught that Dad was cruel enough to take a puppy away from us, so a week later we all went for a day trip and came home with a Golden Cocker Spaniel (Rusty).

Now I'm old enough to guess Dad said he never wanted a dog and mum knew she couldn't win him round on her own. Very cunning of her to bring a doggy home to the kiddies! (The women she got it from owns the kennels we've used for years, so I'm guessing she was in on it too and the whippet went back to a loving home).

So black or chocolate Lab... what do you think? Place your bets on the table!

    Hi niccatw

The dress sounds fab! :D You can usually get 'low back adaptor' type things. I know M&S do them. I've never used one myself, but worth a try? Otherwise you can buy stick on bra's, which I tried once (years ago though) and it came off before I left the house *rollseyes*, so I didn't rate it, but they might have improved?

Thanks Gwen. I figured those sticky on ones would be useless, but if I was having to resort to gaffa tape, then worth a go! But I'll try a low back one first!

I have just wet my bed! :o How? I hear you ask. You 32 for goodness sake women.

That bl**dy ironing! I moved the jug of water with butter fingers, and, whoosh... all over the bed! Just as I was about to clamber into it for the night!

So now I have to change the sheets, mop the floor, forget the slippers for the next day or two until they dry out and dry my tootsies, yuk!

I feel I may be cured of my ironing bug now!!! Pah!

  • Ooooh a choccy and a black would look gorgeous together, but two blacks look adorable too.

    Hi

Re scaffolding (my experiences) - the foam sticky bras - pretty useless unless you are tiny. However you can get sticky things without foam like this http://www.asos.com/Braza/Braza-Stick-On-Bra/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=220480&cid=6748&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Beige
these are not bad (better at staying put and giving support than the foam type I think)

However for more serious support (like I need :o)

I go for either one of these - http://www.johnlewis.com/64323/Style.aspx (John lewis was just an example - probably can get cheaper)
Or I have a lowish back, panache body that I wear.

I also like the look of this - http://www.ultimo.co.uk/shop/low-back-strapless-d-g-820?clid=986 but ultimo bras never fit me, and it is quite a costly solution just for one wedding!

This is the dress :D I think the middle option would be my best bet Tixy! Ultimo looks good, but perhaps not unless I lived somewhere sunny and all my clothes were backless! And I think I'm with you on the first option - a couple of dances in, all hot and sweaty; they'd be pretty useless!

Right... not allowed back on here until I've completed my mystery shop results...

Ooh nice dress- what a lovely colour. And for £15 hey, excellent. What make is it?

Really must think about getting on the swapping site. Scrub that. I need to do more than think about it!

Right, that's that done, an extra £20 winging it's way toward me at some point soon...

My legs are still killing me from Body Balance - which made yoga interesting today! Apparently I have a tendency to stick my bum out in the air :rotfl::rotfl:

Added more stuff to clothes swap site yesterday and responded to some swap requests. Decided I need to start saying no and offering low cash prices or I'll just be swapping my unwanted stuff for other unwanted stuff :D.

Got loads of shoes to add today. Particularly sad to add my soft brown leather Miss Sixty boots... but I wear them about twice a year if you are lucky! And I have loads of knee high boots. And heels. And trainers. And pumps. And sandals... :o Just how many pairs of shoes does a girl need?

I'm adding about 6-7 new items a day at the moment - amongst trying to wash, iron, photograph all the stuff too. It's quite dull and tedious really, but at least you can put on some good music on catch up on TV and just get on with it.

Alos got a letter through from Inland Revenue re. tax back on my professional registrations from the last 5 years. They've not sent me a cheque :(But, they have changed my tax code to allow for them and some expenses as well as to pay me back for the last five years, so my tax threshold had gone up bt almost £3 grand for this year :D. No doubt this means student loans will take more money, but at least it's going in the right direction and I should get a bit more take home pay for a while. Cannae argue with that :D.

And my postal vote came through. Yikes, now I really will have to make a decision on who to vote for!

Hoping to bag my 10th NSD today and reach my target... but still a bit early to call it. I don't like to tempt fate! But tomorrow won't be one as have doctor's appointmant and need to post some swaps (which I deliberatley haven't done today to aim for the NSD) and I'm not sure about Friday... so it's now or never!

That's the next lot of washing done... (Domestic chores are really tedious! Unless you have something major to procrastinate ;))
