I have been skipping on air today. No particular reason, just a bit of sunshine methinks :D. Especially surprised because I had a silly o'clock sleepless night again last night. Boo hiss!

Actually, I had silly o'clock night because it was counselling today and I hadn't looked at my "homework".... how do I deal with conflict? (Erm, I don't! Whoops) and list 50 things I like about me :D. Last night I got to 29 (that's maybe why I was in such a good mood today!) and I'm currently sitting at 34. I'm very proud of that. Thought I'd get stuck about 10!

Though I did try to cheat; I put "long" and "legs" as separate entries :rotfl::rotfl:. I may only be 5'3, but my legs are longer than the rest of me. Yet still I want them to be longer. If it's not the heels giving the illusion, then it's eking them out over two entries when they should only be one! :rotfl::rotfl:.

Oh, I also added fabulous frugalista... I never officially pledged it as I only started my DFW journey in February, but... You know that wee kid in class, the one almost bursting out of her seat to get her hand high enough in the air? That's me, that is. Oooh, me, over here, can I join? Can I? Can I? Can I? I am fabulous! And I am becoming ever more frugal. And I can do fabulous and frugal :D:D.

So of I skipped to get the tube to get into town, I must have looked like a woman demented. I was watching a really odd looking dude sitting at the wheel in his camper van... as I got closer, it turns out the dude was in fact a bull dog, staring out over the wheel :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

So there I was, chuckling away to myself, when the underground staff helped on a lady with a visual impariment - and I was further boosted by the fact that their are lots of lovely people out there. And I was full of respect when, after a few stations, she shouted out to the carriage to check which station we were currently at.

Then I had a further chuckle as the wee old wifey next to her told her she was trying to get off at the wrong station. The lady sitting opposite had to tell the wee old wifey she was wrong, at which point wee old wifey exclaimed "oh hen, it's me that's on the wrong train," and scuttled out the door :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

So then I bounced into counselling all enthusiasm and light! The next step is getting back to work! Which will be test number 1. Dealing with boss will be test number 2. Dealing with me getting annoyed will be test number 3. But the real test won't come until I feel low again - then I have to try and remember: "stop, breath, take a step back and tell yourself it's ok, you can be low, but you can't let it take over!" Feeling positive I can do that right now... but only time will tell...

Next up was the fabric shop to by a zip for the dress I've swapped on the clothes swapping site. I now have a t-shirt, a tunic dress and a Bench denim skirt winging their way to me (hopefully). In return I sent off a dress with a broken zip (and a new zip to be put in, I never got around to it), 2 boob tube tops I never wear and a polo-shirt. I am like a child in a candy shop and I can't wait to take more photos to add to the site! (I think I might have been possessed again. Where's that procrastination of mine gone? Can any-one remember the exorcism spell?). They were posted off today along with a couple of bookmooches.

On my way back home I was disappointed the bulldog wasn't still sitting in his camper van. But I did pop into the library for the first time since I went in the huff 'cos I forgot to take books back in time and I had to pay a fine!

So now I have the "Mind Over Mood" book to peruse, along with "Food for Mood", a yoga DVD, "Getting a Good Night's Sleep" and "Delia's Frugal Food" (see what I mean; moi: fabulous and frugal!). And if I can memorise and act on the contents of those books before the 20 May, all that will be left is for me to learn to use that ruddy sewing machine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Then I will be a well-rounded, allmost proper growed up person (I will also have turned 33 by then :shhh:)

Now I'm just going to nip to the shopping centre and pick up some ink for my printer so I can photocopy the worksheets in "Mind over Mood" and hopefully keep tomorrow as an NSD - as I've still 4 to go to meet my target!

Lemon Tree, I'll let you know what I think of it!

Oh, and all of you best start writing up your lists of 50 things you like about yourselves! I want to know!!! :D. And I will not accept that that bulldog ate your homework!

Hmmm, the computer places were closing as I got there so nipped into the supermarket... while there were whoopsies... £16 later. And why did I get a 4 pint carton of milk for only me just because it was reduced to 40p? Krypton factor stylee trying to figure out the logistics of freezing what I would actually be able to use, given I've only one of those wee milk carton things... is there such a thing as being too frugal? (or is that just tight!!?) Couldn't find my nectar card in my purse either so god knows where that is.

And was very glad I'm now asensible girl who shredded the pin on her credit card and has the card hidden away because they were selling a 40" HD, freeview Samsung LCD for £499.99... which would be nice... but my wee, fat telly works perfectly fine! (At the moment... can you charge your lodger a one off fee of £500 just because? I could say it's a fine for eating hula hoops too loudy, or whacking his laptop at 1am which makes me grumpy? :rotfl:)

I really am getting worried about my forgetfulness... I fogot to mention my charity shop visit today :o. Which is what I came back on to confess, and forgot again :o.

I think I might need those tablets or suduko or braintraining or something to try help me know what's going on!

'Cos I was such a chirpy chick today, I thought "what the h*ll, what harm can popping into the charity shop do? ... you're on a crazy clothes challenge... you can rise above it..."

Erm, well, no I can't. Don't want to, can't make me 28.gif. I came out with a lovely back and pink top which will go lovely with my white line trousers, though I suspect I'll get more use out of it as a summer work top... and 2 skinny t-shirts, one Diesel and one Abercrombie and Finch, both green... these I don't plan on wearing but selling on my clothes swap place. They are lovely and I do like them but I'm just not a green person (apart from the political party and environmental stuff!), so 3 tops, 2 designer, for the princely sum of £13.40... now, what to do re. clothes challenge... I guess I need to declare them until such time as I have actually sold them on? Lula?

Lemon Tree - definitely try the 50 things you like about you. I though it would be impossible. And starting it was hard, but then other things I know I can do kept creeping in there too :).

And as my friend pointed out, she could easily do it for any one of her friends, just not for herself. But if she can come up with 50 reasons she likes me, then there's no reason I shouldn't be able to too; I've known me longer. Can't really argue with that somewhat bizarre logic!

I think I will have to! You know it really is loud enough that it will eventually crack the telly. And me along side it! :rotfl:

50 things I like about me is impossibly hard:

    1. I like that I'm a slovenly ho and have the confidence to walk out in public with a face devoid of slap sporting the latest in draggged through the hedge backwards hairdos with an attitude of not giving a toss because I really don't give a toss what over people think.
    2. I like that my own eclectic style mean that when I turn up to work in green shorts with a barbie pink jumper no one bats an eye lid as this is one of the more sensible attempts at colour co-ordination. Such combinations could only be achieved by a colour-blind person which unfortunately I am not.
    3. I like that I can happily sit on the sofa with a book in my hand and munch my way through two enormous packets of crisps without getting indigestion or feeling guilty because I'm worth it (and in a former life I was a farmyard pig)!
    4. I like that at 5:51am the puppy is absolutely exhausted and asleep on my feet under the PC desk because now I don't have to investigate every silence longer than 30 seconds to figure out what shes chewing her way through that she shouldn't be.
    5. I like that at 5:52am puppy is still asleep under the PC desk so there are no strategically placed piles of poo to clear up and/or (but usually both) step in that weren't there 30 seconds ago.

mmmm it really is harder than y'all think. In fact I'm impressed you made it into double figures with your list niccatw.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Thank you moo2moo, you always make me laugh :D And I can add the slovenly look and face devoid of slap to my list too :T. What kind of puppy do you have (obviously a mischievious one, but that generally goes without saying for puppies!)

    So far an NSD day....

And a sitting in my gym gear, drinking tea and eating. This time it's pancakes and jam :D. I will get to the gym at some point I'm sure, but it's Friday... you can't do things too quickly on a Friday, you need to have stamina to last through the weekend doing things only you like to do!

£1.50 to go on one of the survey sites before I have the £30 I want for my birthday pressie to myself! If I've enough points on other survey sites, I might go for John Lewis and get myself some furniture. Otherwise it'll be clothes or books! Maybe I could get the book on designing my own clothe, then it can be books and clothes! :D
