  • Hi Nic,

Thought I'd look in on you to see how the weekend went.

I'm in shock! My God, it's supposed to be the kids who have a learning disablilty, I think the community are more learning impaired!

How?...How can people react like this? The person who has been sacked, surely they have a case for unfair dismissal?

The person who was slapped, do you know if they have filed an assault charge?

Sorry hun, I'm completely dumbstruck! Furious!...but no words! I know your job means that you normally mix with supportive people but I still don't see how a community, ADULTS, can be so cruel and blatently disregard laws because of their ignorance. This isn't just being unsupportive if they've gone as far as bullying and intimidating people who ARE supportive!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'll come back when I've calmed down! Strike that, I'm not likely to calm down so I'll come back when the shock has subsided!

I know SouthernBellE*. It's absolute madness! My friend was really stressing about it, but she drank lots of wine at the weekend and decided it wasn't worth the stress, she just needs to step back and laugh. Which is commendable but must be so very difficult!

It's a bizarre place - they ID'ed me when I was buying wine (I'm 32 - and I look it!) because "they didn't know my face", even though I was with my friend who is in that particular shop every few days or so for bits and pieces.

I'm supposed to be photographing my stuff fro ebay or TheBigWardrobe.com just now, but I seem to be in the wrong room for doing that... dunno how that happened ;).

  • Less time pros, poscr, psco

Less time thinking, less time daydreaming, less time in front of the 'puter! :p

You little minx! You were doing that weeks ago! Imagine the pile as a pile of dosh! Get yours sorted and reward yourself with something new from the other site with the money you make! ;)

I'm glad your friend is managing to deal with what's happening, still must hurt and still so very wrong. :(

    Catch you later honey! :)

But only to nag you about the e-baying! :p

Thank you SouthernbellE* - I need constant nagging! ;) Tixy, you need to join in! :D

I did eventually move to the right room... only to find the camera battery is dead! It's been charging and I've been tidying up a bit and finding more things I don't need (trying to be ruthless with books I've already read - I like books so I find this hard!)

Tixy, The Big Wardrobe is essentially an online clothes swapping site, but you can also sell things there, or part exchange (i.e. a swap and money) I thought it might be easier to shift clothes there than on ebay... (I'll let you know when I get around to putting stuff up there!) http://www.bigwardrobe.com/

Checked my bank accounts tonight... my spending one isn't looking too healthy - I think that's the after-effects of trying to be a clever cloggs and paying off my credit card fully at the beginning of the month! But also because I should never take free trials - I never remember to cancel them on time, so there's about £30 that should not have been spent (Equifax, Credit Expert, Love Film and the stupid bank fee). Equifax and LoveFilm are now cancelled... I need to call Credit Expert and their "offices close at 6pm". I also can't cancel the direct debits from online banking as according to it, direct debits are not set up on that account. *shrugs shoulders*?

And I can't cancel the bank subscription as I am currently in the overdraft (which I never had before they made me take out the subscription as the "only way" they wouldn't charge me for [STRIKE]going into an unauthorised overdraft[/STRIKE] paying money into the account on the same day I realised the money was about to come out would take me into an unauthorised overdraft.

I also cancelled a few out-of-date direct debits (CPP protection (if only I'd held of a month or so, I could have used Martin's free one!), old life assurance and the credit card - which, ironically, is now in credit! :rotfl:). There seems to be 2 direct debits missing - broadband, which is coming from the wrong account. And my professional registration fee - which is rather scarily missing altogether! So I will need to call them tomorrow to check whether I'm covered! And quiz them as to why they never switched.)

But at least I never locked myself out of my bills account this time! I think I've cracked it!!!

My friend uses Egg moneymanager and was showing me how it can link all your accounts together. You cannot forget to transfer money between accounts as they are all listed in front of you, balances and all! I'm seriously considering taking out an Egg product just so as I can use it! Though I'll need to wait a bit, I have 5 searches on my credit file - 4 of which are as a direct result of my inability to tell salesmen where they can shove their [insert product of choice here].:mad: What a muppet!

Oooh, my right ear is on fire... some-one must be really talking about me... but I can't remember which ear is for good and which is for bad...

Oh, and I got 3 copies of my Sew magazine for £3 today :D. :j I will learn to sew, I will, I will.... (my aunty is giving me her old overlocker too). Really need to sit down and work out how many of the summer school courses I can really afford to do!

eusa_naughty.gifeusa_naughty.gif How about this one. :rotfl:
3dogs will be so unimpressed with us all. Now if nicca finally gets round to doing hers before we do Spoon, then you and I will know we really have been procrastinating :rotfl:;)

Thanks, Tixy, that will do nicely:rotfl:
Do you think there's any chance of that, Tixy.. I've got the camera:rotfl: (but nicca's got the battery, so I can't do anything either). Your chance to get ahead of both of us:D:D
